  • Encode JSON data into another JSON object

    - by jburns20
    I have a JSON string that I would like to include as a value in a larger JSON object that I am creating from an array. How can I create the larger JSON object without php escaping the string, and without having to decode the previously encoded string? For example, if my JSON string is: $encoded_already = '{"encoded_key": "encoded_value"}'; And I would like to include it in my array and json_encode() it: $new_array = array( "some_other_key" => $some_value, "premade_data" => $encoded_already ); $output = json_encode($new_array); but I want to have the $encoded_already string be included as actual JSON, not just an escaped string.

  • How to run unittest under pydev for Django?

    - by photon
    I configured properties for my django project under pydev. I can run the django app under pydev or under console window. I can also run unittest for app under console window. But I have problems to run unittest under pydev. I guess it's something related to run configurations of pydev, so I made several trials, but with no success. Once I got messages like this: ImportError: Could not import settings 'D:\django_projects\MyProject' (Is it on sys.path? Does it have syntax errors?): No module named D:\django_projects\MyProject ERROR: Module: MyUnittestFile could not be imported. Another time I got messages like this: ImportError: Could not import settings 'MyProject.settngs' (Is it on sys.path? Does it have syntax errors?): No module named settngs 'ERROR: Module: MyUnittestFile could not be imported. I use pydev 1.5.6 on eclipse and windows xp. Any ideas for this problem?

  • Problem with combination boost::exception and boost::variant

    - by Rick
    Hello all, I have strange problem with two-level variant struct when boost::exception is included. I have following code snippet: #include <boost/variant.hpp> #include <boost/exception/all.hpp> typedef boost::variant< int > StoredValue; typedef boost::variant< StoredValue > ExpressionItem; inline std::ostream& operator << ( std::ostream & os, const StoredValue& stvalue ) { return os;} inline std::ostream& operator << ( std::ostream & os, const ExpressionItem& stvalue ) { return os; } When I try to compile it, I have following error: boost/exception/detail/is_output_streamable.hpp(45): error C2593: 'operator <<' is ambiguous test.cpp(11): could be 'std::ostream &operator <<(std::ostream &,const ExpressionItem &)' [found using argument-dependent lookup] test.cpp(8): or 'std::ostream &operator <<(std::ostream &,const StoredValue &)' [found using argument-dependent lookup] 1> while trying to match the argument list '(std::basic_ostream<_Elem,_Traits>, const boost::error_info<Tag,T>)' 1> with 1> [ 1> _Elem=char, 1> _Traits=std::char_traits<char> 1> ] 1> and 1> [ 1> Tag=boost::tag_original_exception_type, 1> T=const type_info * 1> ] Code snippet is simplified as much as possible, in the real code are structures much more complicated and each variant has five sub-types. When i remove #include and try following test snippet, program is compiled correctly: void TestVariant() { ExpressionItem test; std::stringstream str; str << test; } Could someone please advise me how to define operators << in order to function even when using boost::Exception ? Thanks and regards Rick

  • How do you diagnose a 500 error on Heroku when there is no error message in the logs?

    - by lala
    I have a Rails app on Heroku that is serving 500 errors at random intervals. Web pages will display "Internal server error" in plain text, instead of the usual "We're sorry. Something went wrong." page. When I refresh the page, it works fine. The logs don't show me an error message, just » 14:20:34.107 2013-10-11 12:20:33.763690+00:00 heroku router - - at=info method=HEAD path=/ host=www.mydomain.com fwd="184.73.237.85/ec2-184-73-237-85.compute-1.amazonaws.com" dyno=web.1 connect=1ms service=63ms status=200 bytes=0 » 14:21:03.957 2013-10-11 12:21:03.561867+00:00 heroku router - - at=info method=GET path=/ host=www.mydomain.com fwd="50.112.95.211/ec2-50-112-95-211.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com" dyno=web.1 connect=0ms service=1ms status=500 bytes=21 Support has told me to look at request queuing in New Relic, but New Relic only shows a big red mark saying the server is down (even though the site works fine when refreshed). With no error messages, I'm at a loss for how to diagnose this issue.

  • 503 (Server Unavailable) WebException when loading local XHTML file

    - by kcoppock
    Hello! So I'm currently working on an ePub reader application, and I've been reading through a bunch of regular XML files just fine with System.Xml and XmlDocument: XmlDocument xmldoc = new XmlDocument(); xmldoc.Load(Path.Combine(Directory.GetCurrentDirectory(), "META-INF/container.xml")); XmlNodeList xnl = xmldoc.GetElementsByTagName("rootfile"); However, now I'm trying to open the XHTML files that contain the actual book text, and they're XHTML files. Now I don't really know the difference between the two, but I'm getting the following error with this code (in the same document, using the same XmlDocument and XmlNodeList variable) xmldoc.Load(Path.Combine(Directory.GetCurrentDirectory(), "OEBPS/part1.xhtml")); "WebException was unhandled: The remote server returned an error: (503) Server Unavailable" It's a local document, so I'm not understanding why it's giving this error? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :) I've got the full source code here if it helps: http://drop.io/epubtest (I know the ePubConstructor.ParseDocument() method is horribly messy, I'm just trying to get it working at the moment before I split it into classes)

  • "The usage of semaphores is subtly wrong"

    - by Hoonose
    This past semester I was taking an OS practicum in C, in which the first project involved making a threads package, then writing a multiple producer-consumer program to demonstrate the functionality. However, after getting grading feedback, I lost points for "The usage of semaphores is subtly wrong" and "The program assumes preemption (e.g. uses yield to change control)" (We started with a non-preemptive threads package then added preemption later. Note that the comment and example contradict each other. I believe it doesn't assume either, and would work in both environments). This has been bugging me for a long time - the course staff was kind of overwhelmed, so I couldn't ask them what's wrong with this over the semester. I've spent a long time thinking about this and I can't see the issues. If anyone could take a look and point out the error, or reassure me that there actually isn't a problem, I'd really appreciate it. I believe the syntax should be pretty standard in terms of the thread package functions (minithreads and semaphores), but let me know if anything is confusing. #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include "minithread.h" #include "synch.h" #define BUFFER_SIZE 16 #define MAXCOUNT 100 int buffer[BUFFER_SIZE]; int size, head, tail; int count = 1; int out = 0; int toadd = 0; int toremove = 0; semaphore_t empty; semaphore_t full; semaphore_t count_lock; // Semaphore to keep a lock on the // global variables for maintaining the counts /* Method to handle the working of a student * The ID of a student is the corresponding minithread_id */ int student(int total_burgers) { int n, i; semaphore_P(count_lock); while ((out+toremove) < arg) { n = genintrand(BUFFER_SIZE); n = (n <= total_burgers - (out + toremove)) ? n : total_burgers - (out + toremove); printf("Student %d wants to get %d burgers ...\n", minithread_id(), n); toremove += n; semaphore_V(count_lock); for (i=0; i<n; i++) { semaphore_P(empty); out = buffer[tail]; printf("Student %d is taking burger %d.\n", minithread_id(), out); tail = (tail + 1) % BUFFER_SIZE; size--; toremove--; semaphore_V(full); } semaphore_P(count_lock); } semaphore_V(count_lock); printf("Student %d is done.\n", minithread_id()); return 0; } /* Method to handle the working of a cook * The ID of a cook is the corresponding minithread_id */ int cook(int total_burgers) { int n, i; printf("Creating Cook %d\n",minithread_id()); semaphore_P(count_lock); while ((count+toadd) <= arg) { n = genintrand(BUFFER_SIZE); n = (n <= total_burgers - (count + toadd) + 1) ? n : total_burgers - (count + toadd) + 1; printf("Cook %d wants to put %d burgers into the burger stack ...\n", minithread_id(),n); toadd += n; semaphore_V(count_lock); for (i=0; i<n; i++) { semaphore_P(full); printf("Cook %d is putting burger %d into the burger stack.\n", minithread_id(), count); buffer[head] = count++; head = (head + 1) % BUFFER_SIZE; size++; toadd--; semaphore_V(empty); } semaphore_P(count_lock); } semaphore_V(count_lock); printf("Cook %d is done.\n", minithread_id()); return 0; } /* Method to create our multiple producers and consumers * and start their respective threads by fork */ void starter(int* c){ int i; for (i=0;i<c[2];i++){ minithread_fork(cook, c[0]); } for (i=0;i<c[1];i++){ minithread_fork(student, c[0]); } } /* The arguments are passed as command line parameters * argv[1] is the no of students * argv[2] is the no of cooks */ void main(int argc, char *argv[]) { int pass_args[3]; pass_args[0] = MAXCOUNT; pass_args[1] = atoi(argv[1]); pass_args[2] = atoi(argv[2]); size = head = tail = 0; empty = semaphore_create(); semaphore_initialize(empty, 0); full = semaphore_create(); semaphore_initialize(full, BUFFER_SIZE); count_lock = semaphore_create(); semaphore_initialize(count_lock, 1); minithread_system_initialize(starter, pass_args); }

  • Rails can't render polymorphic associations to XML?

    - by ambertch
    When I render XML with an :include clause for a polymorphic association I have, it doesn't work. I end up with the XML returning the object pointers instead of the actual objects, like: <posts> #<Comment:0x102ed1540>#<Comment:0x102ecaa38>#<Comment:0x102ec7fe0>#<Comment:0x102ec3cd8> </posts> Yet as_json works! When I render JSON with :include clause, the associations are rendered correctly and I get something like: posts":[ {"type":"Comment","created_at":"2010-04-20T23:02:30-07:00","id":7,"content":"fourth comment"}, {"type":"Comment","created_at":"2010-04-20T23:02:26-07:00","id":6,"content":"third comment"}] My current workaround is using XML builder, but I'm not too comfortable with that in the long run. Does anyone happen to know about this issue? I'm kind of in a catch-22 because while XML doesn't render the associations, as_json doesn't render in a kosher json format (returns an array rather than a list of hashes as proper json should) and the deserializer I'm using on the client side would require modification to parse the json correctly.

  • Drupal Imagecache not working

    - by stef
    I created an Imagecache setting that just resizes to 125px wide. First issue is that the preview image is 404. Then I want to print out an image via <?php print theme('imagecache', 'imported_image', $node->picture, 'test', 'test', $attributes); ?> 'imported_image' being the preset and $node-picture is a correct path. The html prints out ok but the path it's trying load the image from does not exist. In sites/default/files/imagecache there is no folder with the name of the preset. Flushing the preset does nothing. The imagecache folder is writeable by everyone. This is on MAMP. Anyone know what the issue could be?

  • Why does this program crash: passing of std::string between DLLs

    - by msiemeri
    Hello together. I have some trouble figuring out why the following crashes (MSVC9): //// the following compiles to A.dll with release runtime linked dynamically //A.h class A { __declspec(dllexport) std::string getString(); }; //A.cpp #include "A.h" std::string A::getString() { return "I am a string."; } //// the following compiles to main.exe with debug runtime linked dynamically #include "A.h" int main() { A a; std::string s = A.getString(); return 0; } // crash on exit Obviously (?) this is due to the different memory models for the executable and DLL. Could it be that the string A::getString() returns is being allocated in A.dll and freed in main.exe? If so, why - and what would be a safe way to pass strings between DLLs (or executables, for that matter)? Without using wrappers like shared_ptr with a custom deleter.

  • Maven Release Plugin with JAXB issues

    - by Wysawyg
    Hiya, We've got a project set up to use the Maven Release Plugin which includes a phase that unpacks a JAR of XML schemas pulled from Artifactory and a phase that generates XJC classes. We're on maven release 2.2.1. Unfortunately the latter phase is executing before the former which means that it isn't generating the XJC classes for the schema. A partial POM.XML looks like: <plugins> <plugin> <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId> <artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId> <configuration> <source>1.6</source> <target>1.6</target> </configuration> </plugin> <plugin> <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId> <artifactId>maven-dependency-plugin</artifactId> <executions> <execution> <id>unpack</id> <!-- phase>generate-sources</phase --> <goals> <goal>unpack</goal> <goal>copy</goal> </goals> <configuration> <artifactItems> <artifactItem> <groupId>ourgroupid</groupId> <artifactId>ourschemas</artifactId> <version>5.1</version> <outputDirectory>${project.basedir}/src/main/webapp/xsd</outputDirectory> <excludes>META-INF/</excludes> <overWrite>true</overWrite> </artifactItem> </artifactItems> </configuration> </execution> </executions> </plugin> <plugin> <groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId> <artifactId>maven-buildnumber-plugin</artifactId> <version>0.9.6</version> <executions> <execution> <phase>validate</phase> <goals> <goal>create</goal> </goals> </execution> </executions> <configuration> <doCheck>true</doCheck> <doUpdate>true</doUpdate> </configuration> </plugin> <plugin> <groupId>org.jvnet.jaxb2.maven2</groupId> <artifactId>maven-jaxb2-plugin</artifactId> <configuration> <schemaDirectory>${project.basedir}/src/main/webapp/xsd</schemaDirectory> <schemaIncludes> <include>*.xsd</include> <include>*/*.xsd</include> </schemaIncludes> <verbose>true</verbose> <!-- args> <arg>-Djavax.xml.validation.SchemaFactory:http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema=org.apache.xerces.jaxp.validation.XMLSchemaFactory</arg> </args--> </configuration> <executions> <execution> <goals> <goal>generate</goal> </goals> </execution> </executions> </plugin> I've tried googling for it, unfortunately I ended up with a case of thousands of links none of which were actually relevant so I'd be very grateful if someone knew how to configure the order of the release plugin steps to ensure a was fully executed before it did b. Thanks

  • Chaining multiple ShellExecute calls

    - by IVlad
    Consider the following code and its executable - runner.exe: #include <iostream> #include <string> #include <windows.h> using namespace std; int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { SHELLEXECUTEINFO shExecInfo; shExecInfo.cbSize = sizeof(SHELLEXECUTEINFO); shExecInfo.fMask = NULL; shExecInfo.hwnd = NULL; shExecInfo.lpVerb = "open"; shExecInfo.lpFile = argv[1]; string Params = ""; for ( int i = 2; i < argc; ++i ) Params += argv[i] + ' '; shExecInfo.lpParameters = Params.c_str(); shExecInfo.lpDirectory = NULL; shExecInfo.nShow = SW_SHOWNORMAL; shExecInfo.hInstApp = NULL; ShellExecuteEx(&shExecInfo); return 0; } These two batch files both do what they're supposed to, which is run notepad.exe and run notepad.exe and tell it to try to open test.txt: 1. runner.exe notepad.exe 2. runner.exe notepad.exe test.txt Now, consider this batch file: 3. runner.exe runner.exe notepad.exe This one should run runner.exe and send notepad.exe as one of its command line arguments, shouldn't it? Then, that second instance of runner.exe should run notepad.exe - which doesn't happen, I get a "Windows cannot find 'am'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again" error. If I print the argc argument, it's 14 for the second instance of runner.exe, and they are all weird stuff like Files\Microsoft, SQL, Files\Common and so on. I can't figure out why this happens. I want to be able to string as many runner.exe calls using command line arguments as possible, or at least 2. How can I do that? I am using Windows 7 if that makes a difference.

  • stumped by WSGI module import errors

    - by rguha
    Hi, I'm writing a bare bones Python wsgi application and am getting stumped by module import errors. I have a .py file in the current directory which initially failed to import. By adding sys.path.insert(0, '/Users/guhar/Sites/acom') the import of the module worked. But I now try and import a module that I had installed via easy_install and it fails to import. I tried setting sys.path.insert(0, '/Library/Python/2.5/site-packages/') which contains the egg file, but to no avail. I would've thought that all packages under "/Library/Python/2.5/site-packages/" would be available to a WSGI application. Does anybody have any pointers?

  • Exchange 2003 Public Folder Replica list

    - by Niall
    Hi, I am trying to update a replica list on a Exchange 2003 public folder. I am using the WMI namespace exchange_publicfolder to try and add an Exchange server (using the servers DN) to the AddReplica procedure. Every time I run this I get an invalid parameter as an exception. Below is the code that I am using to do this. WMI.Connect(Server, credentials) Using WMISearcher As New ManagementObjectSearcher(WMI.Scope, & _ New ObjectQuery(String.Format("SELECT * FROM Exchange_Publicfolder WHERE path='{0}'", Name))) Using PublicFolder As ManagementObjectCollection = WMISearcher.Get For Each Folder As ManagementObject In PublicFolder Dim BaseFolder As ManagementBaseObject = Folder.GetMethodParameters("AddReplica") BaseFolder("path") = ServerDN Folder.InvokeMethod("AddReplica", BaseFolder, Nothing) Next End Using End Using I have used WMI before and I can see that the call is connecting to the correct public folder because i can itterate through the properies once the query has executed. I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. If anyone has any ideas or comments the please let me know. Thanks Niall

  • What should I use for a Perl script's shebang line?

    - by Anonymous
    Which of these is better or faster to use as the shebang line for a Perl script? #! perl #! perl.exe #! fullpath/perl(/perl.exe) #! partialpath/perl(/perl.exe) And, when using #!perl, when it works on a particular system, how do I find out in the script which perl interpreter I'm using so I can put that one into the shebang line? And, if using a /path/path/perl, are "*" or "..." allowed to be used for the folders?

  • TFS build problem: missing assembly in test output folder

    - by Herman
    Hi all, I am trying to integrate unit test cases with a TFS build in our new solution. I've include the following configuration line in my TFSBuild.proj <ItemGroup> <TestContainer Include="$(OutDir)\%2aTest.dll" /> </ItemGroup> Which I think is the correct configuration since I only have 1 test project. However, when I do this, some dll is missing in the output folder of the test case, hence failing most of my test case. Has anyone run into this problem before? Thanks!

  • Structs, strtok, segmentation fault

    - by FILIaS
    I'm trying to make a programme with structs and files.The following is just a part of my code(it;s not all). What i'm trying to do is: ask the user to write his command. eg. delete John eg. enter John James 5000 ipad purchase. The problem is that I want to split the command in order to save its 'args' for a struct element. That's why i used strtok. BUT I'm facing another problem in who to 'put' these on the struct. #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <string.h> #define MAX 100 char command[1500]; struct catalogue { char short_name[50]; char surname[50]; signed int amount; char description[1000]; }*catalog[MAX]; int main ( int argc, char *argv[] ) { int i,n; char choice[3]; printf(">sort1: Print savings sorted by surname\n"); printf(">sort2: Print savings sorted by amount\n"); printf(">search+name:Print savings of each name searched\n"); printf(">delete+full_name+amount: Erase saving\n"); printf(">enter+full_name+amount+description: Enter saving \n"); printf(">quit: Update + EXIT program.\n"); printf("Choose your selection:\n>"); gets(command); //it save the whole command /*in choice it;s saved only the first 2 letters(needed for menu choice again)*/ strncpy(choice,command,2); choice[2]='\0'; char** args = (char**)malloc(strlen(command)*sizeof(char*)); memset(args, 0, sizeof(char*)*strlen(command)); char* curToken = strtok(command, " \t"); for (n = 0; curToken != NULL; ++n) { args[n] = strdup(curToken); curToken = strtok(NULL, " \t"); *catalog[n]->short_name=*args[1]; *catalog[n]->surname=args[2]; catalog[n]->amount=atoi(args[3]); *catalog[n]->description=args[4]; } return 0; } I get a warning (warning: assignment makes integer from pointer without a cast) for the lines: *catalog[n]->short_name=*args[1]; *catalog[n]->surname=args[2]; *catalog[n]->description=args[4]; As a result, after running the program i get a Segmentation Fault... Any help? Any ideas?

  • graphviz segmentation fault

    - by LucaB
    Hi I'm building a graph with many nodes, around 3000. I wrote a simple python program to do the trick with graphviz, but it gives me segmentation fault and I don't know why, if the graph is too big or if i'm missing something. The code is: #!/usr/bin/env python # Import graphviz import sys sys.path.append('..') sys.path.append('/usr/lib/graphviz') import gv # Import pygraph from pygraph.classes.graph import graph from pygraph.classes.digraph import digraph from pygraph.algorithms.searching import breadth_first_search from pygraph.readwrite.dot import write # Graph creation gr = graph() file = open('nodes.dat', 'r') line = file.readline() while line: gr.add_nodes([line[0:-1]]) line = file.readline() file.close() print 'nodes finished, beginning edges' edges = open('edges_ok.dat', 'r') edge = edges.readline() while edge: gr.add_edge((edge.split()[0], edge.split()[1])) edge = edges.readline() edges.close() print 'edges finished' print 'Drawing' # Draw as PNG dot = write(gr) gvv = gv.readstring(dot) gv.layout(gvv,'dot') gv.render(gvv,'svg','graph.svg') and it crashes at the gv.layout() call. The files are somthing like: nodes: node1 node2 node3 edges_ok: node1 node2 node2 node3

  • Ruby gems gone after after jruby install

    Today I installed jruby by downloading it, extracting it to /home/james/jruby-1.4.0 and adding the following line to .bashrc export JRUBY_HOME=/home/james/jruby-1.4.0 export PATH=$JRUBY_HOME/bin:$PATH And then I installed some jruby gems via jruby -S gem install ... Jruby works fine, but this seemed to have cause two problems: 1) When I try to run a ruby (not jruby) on rails migration, I see: Missing the Rails gem. Please `gem install -v= rails`, update your RAILS_GEM_VERSION setting in config/environment.rb for the Rails version you do have installed, or comment out RAILS_GEM_VERSION to use the latest version installed. 2) when I do gem list --local, I only see the gems that I've installed for jruby. Launching web applications via ruby script/server succeeds without any warnings. Please help.

  • Why is QProcess converting the '=' in my arguments to spaces

    - by dagorym
    I've run into a weird error with a Qt program running on Windows. The program uses QProcess to spawn a child process wit two arguments. The program and arguments passed to the QProcess::start() method are of the form: "batchfile.bat" "--option1=some_value" "--option2=some_other_value\with_a\path" For some reason by the time those options get to the batchfile for processing the equals signs have been converted to spaces and it now looks like: "batchfile.bat" "--option1 some_value" "--option2 some_other_value\with_a\path" because of this, the processing fails. Any ideas what could be causing the equal signs to be replaced by spaces? I'm using the mingw build of the QT 4.6.3 framework found on the Qt download page.

Please install ImageMagick.") end parse(geometry) || raise(Errors::NotIdentifiedByImageMagickError.new("#{file_path} is not recognized by the 'identify' command.")) end At the point of my binding.pry statement, the file_path variable is set to the following: file_path => "/var/folders/91/63kgbtds2czgp0skw3f8190r0000gn/T/ror_tote.jpeg20121007-22732-1ctl1g1" I've also double checked that this exists, by opening my finder in this directory, and opened it with preview app; and also that the program can run identify by running %x{identify} in pry, and I receive the same version Version: ImageMagick 6.7.7-6 2012-10-06 Q16 as before. Removing the additional digits (is this a timestamp?) after the file extension and running the Paperclip.run command manually in Pry gives me a different error: Cocaine::ExitStatusError: Command 'identify -format %wx%h :file' returned 1. Expected 0 I've also tried manually updating the Paperclip gem in Spree to 3.0.2 and still get the same error. So, I'm not really sure what else to try. Is there still something incorrect with my ImageMagick setup?

  • Unable to disable generation of sources JAR with maven-release-plugin

    - by Chris Lieb
    I am trying to release a web project using Maven 2.2.1 and the maven-release-plugin 2.0-beta-9, but it always fails when doing release:perform on generating the sources jar for the EAR project, which makes sense since the EAR project doesn't have any source. [INFO] [INFO] [source:jar {execution: attach-sources}] [INFO] [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [INFO] [ERROR] BUILD ERROR [INFO] [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [INFO] [INFO] Error creating source archive: You must set at least one file. To try to disable the building of a sources JAR for the EAR project, I added the following to the POM for my EAR project (the version of the release plugin is set in a parent POM): <build> <plugins> ... <plugin> <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId> <artifactId>maven-release-plugin</artifactId> <configuration> <useReleaseProfile>false</useReleaseProfile> </configuration> </plugin> </plugins> </build> Upon running the release again after checking in this change, I got the same error while generating the sources JAR for the EAR project, even though this should have been disabled by the previous POM snippet. What am I doing wrong? Why is the sources JAR still being built? Edit: I've tried to make the source plugin include my application.xml file so that this error doesn't occur by adding the following POM snippet: <build> <plugins> ... <plugin> <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId> <artifactId>maven-source-plugin</artifactId> <configuration> <includes> <include>${basedir}/META-INF/**/*</include> </includes> <useDefaultExcludes>false</useDefaultExcludes> </configuration> </plugin> </plugins> </build> Unfortunately, this does not fix the problem either.

  • why is my 3n+1 problem solution wrong?

    - by nunos
    I have recently started reading "Programming Challenges" book by S. Skiena and believe or not I am kind of stuck in the very first problem. Here's a link to the problem: 3n+1 problem Here's my code: #include <iostream> #include <vector> #include <algorithm> using namespace std; unsigned long calc(unsigned long n); int main() { int i, j, a, b, m; vector<int> temp; while (true) { cin >> i >> j; if (cin.fail()) break; if (i < j) { a = i; b = j; } else { a = j; b = i; } temp.clear(); for (unsigned int k = a; k != b; k++) { temp.push_back(calc(k)); } m = *max_element(temp.begin(), temp.end()); cout << i << ' ' << j << ' ' << m << endl; } } unsigned long calc(unsigned long n) { unsigned long ret = 1; while (n != 1) { if (n % 2 == 0) n = n/2; else n = 3*n + 1; ret++; } return ret; } I know the code is inefficient and I should not be using vectors to store the data. Anyway, I still would like to know what it's wrong with this, since, for me, it makes perfect sense, even though I am getting WA (wrong answer at programming challenges judge and RE (Runtime Error) at UVa judge). Thanks.

  • Testing installation package in OpenSolaris

    - by Alex Farber
    Testing my "configure - make - make install" installation package on OpenSolaris, I found that all required files are placed to expected locations. usr/local/bin contains myprogram file. If I type in command line: /usr/local/bin/myprogram, it is working. However, typing "myprogram" without path does not work. Is /usr/local/bin directory included in OpenSolaris executable path? If not, why autoconfig tools place my executable to this directory? Installation package is created in Ubuntu.
