  • Drupal - how to register a MENU_CALLBACK that is accessable to all users(even anonymous ones)?

    - by rubayeet
I'm trying to learn Drupal 6. I want to register the path '/topic' to a MENU_CALLBACK using hook_menu(). Here's what I have: function mymodule_menu() { $items = array() $items['foo'] = array( 'page callback' => 'show_page_foo', 'access callback' => 'user_access', 'access arguements' => array('access foo content'), 'type' => MENU_CALLBACK ); } function show_page_foo() { //show foo page } This works fine for a logged in user. But when I visit the path as an anonymous user it shows 'Access Denied' message. What must be the 'access callback' and 'access arguments' values to have this accessible to all visitors? I remember I made this work by simply saying 'access' => TRUE in Drupal 5. No longer works in Drupal 6.

  • Executing php with crontab

    - by Stefan Konno
Hi everyone. I'm trying to run a php-script on a scheduled basis. So I'd thought crontab was a good idea. The server I'm using is on Linux which I'm not that familiar with. So the problem I'm having is, I don't know how make the script executable from php. I need to reference the script, or put it into a folder that can run php from the command line. So I don't know what path to give my crontab, for example: 5 * * * * var/www/some/path/script.php I found some vague information about this php executable being found in /usr/bin/php But I can't find any php file in there, maybe I don't have it installed? My php5 and apache installation is in: /etc/php5 So my question becomes, is there anyway to execute a php-script with crontab in any other folder, or do I just lack the php executable in usr/bin/php?

  • How to make script paths inside user control independent of page hierarchy.

    - by Rohit
My website is organized in the following folder structure Root Pages CustomerManagement DepartMentManagement Script UserControls Now i have a user control inside userControl Folder. I have to use a external js file. So i use it this way <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="../Script/slider.js"></script> My understanding is that since both are under root so i have used a single .. Now what happens is that when this usercontrol is used inside DepartMentManagement it checks for script folder inside CustomerManagement as .. refers to one hierarchy above and script file is not found.Even using a ~ doesnot work. I want to make this script path independent of the path where this control is used. I don't want to move script reference code to the page as control requires script mot page. Please tell me how to achieve this.

  • PHP MVC Framework Structure

    - by bigstylee
I am sorry about the amount of code here. I have tried to show enough for understanding while avoiding confusion (I hope). I have included a second copy of the code at Pastebin. (The code does execute without error/notice/warning.) I am currently creating a Content Management System while trying to implement the idea of Model View Controller. I have only recently come across the concept of MVC (within the last week) and trying to implement this into my current project. One of the features of the CMS is dynamic/customisable menu areas and each feature will be represented by a controller. Therefore there will be multiple versions of the Controller Class, each with specific extended functionality. I have looked at a number of tutorials and read some open source solutions to the MVC Framework. I am now trying to create a lightweight solution for my specific requirements. I am not interested in backwards compatibility, I am using PHP 5.3. An advantage of the Base class is not having to use global and can directly access any loaded class using $this->Obj['ClassName']->property/function();. Hoping to get some feedback using the basic structure outlined (with performance in mind). Specifically; a) Have I understood/implemented the concept of MVC correctly? b) Have I understood/implemented Object Orientated techniques with PHP 5 correctly? c) Should the class propertise of Base be static? d) Improvements? Thank you very much in advance! <?php /* A "Super Class" that creates/stores all object instances */ class Base { public static $Obj = array(); // Not sure this is the correct use of the "static" keyword? public static $var; static public function load_class($directory, $class) { echo count(self::$Obj)."\n"; // This does show the array is getting updated and not creating a new array :) if (!isset(self::$Obj[$class]) && !is_object(self::$Obj[$class])) //dont want to load it twice { /* Locate and include the class file based upon name ($class) */ return self::$Obj[$class] = new $class(); } return TRUE; } } /* Loads general configuration objects into the "Super Class" */ class Libraries extends Base { public function __construct(){ $this->load_class('library', 'Database'); $this->load_class('library', 'Session'); self::$var = 'Hello World!'; //testing visibility /* Other general funciton classes */ } } class Database extends Base { /* Connects to the the database and executes all queries */ public function query(){} } class Session extends Base { /* Implements Sessions in database (read/write) */ } /* General functionality of controllers */ abstract class Controller extends Base { protected function load_model($class, $method) { /* Locate and include the model file */ $this->load_class('model', $class); call_user_func(array(self::$Obj[$class], $method)); } protected function load_view($name) { /* Locate and include the view file */ #include('views/'.$name.'.php'); } } abstract class View extends Base { /* ... */ } abstract class Model extends Base { /* ... */ } class News extends Controller { public function index() { /* Displays the 5 most recent News articles and displays with Content Area */ $this->load_model('NewsModel', 'index'); $this->load_view('news', 'index'); echo $this->var; } public function menu() { /* Displays the News Title of the 5 most recent News articles and displays within the Menu Area */ $this->load_model('news/index'); $this->load_view('news/index'); } } class ChatBox extends Controller { /* ... */ } /* Lots of different features extending the controller/view/model class depending upon request and layout */ class NewsModel extends Model { public function index() { echo $this->var; self::$Obj['Database']->query(/*SELECT 5 most recent news articles*/); } public function menu() { /* ... */ } } $Libraries = new Libraries; $controller = 'News'; // Would be determined from Query String $method = 'index'; // Would be determined from Query String $Content = $Libraries->load_class('controller', $controller); //create the controller for the specific page if (in_array($method, get_class_methods($Content))) { call_user_func(array($Content, $method)); } else { die('Bad Request'. $method); } $Content::$var = 'Goodbye World'; echo $Libraries::$var . • Why are my RSpec specs running twice?

    - by James A. Rosen
I have the following RSpec (1.3.0) task defined in my Rakefile: require 'spec/rake/spectask' Spec::Rake::SpecTask.new(:spec) do |spec| spec.libs << 'lib' << 'spec' spec.spec_files = FileList['spec/**/*_spec.rb'] end I have the following in spec/spec_helper.rb: require 'rubygems' require 'spec' require 'spec/autorun' require 'rack/test' require 'webmock/rspec' include Rack::Test::Methods include WebMock require 'omniauth/core' I have a single spec declared in spec/foo/foo_spec.rb: require File.dirname(__FILE__) + '/../spec_helper' describe Foo do describe '#bar' do it 'be bar-like' do Foo.new.bar.should == 'bar' end end end When I run rake spec, the single example runs twice. I can check it by making the example fail, giving me two red "F"s. One thing I thought was that adding spec to the SpecTask's libs was causing them to be double-defined, but removing that doesn't seem to have any effect.

  • How to parse a text file and write the result to an xls file?

    - by Bk
Hi all i am a junior level SQL developer. I have a situation where I have a text file with 1100 lines of a search result with each line containing a file path and a stored procedure associated with that file. Each line has a structure like the one below: abc\def\ghi\***.cs(40): jkl=******.*****.******, "proc_pqrst", parms); Where abc\def\ghi\***.cs is file path of the file ***.cs. The stored procedure names begin with proc_. I have to extract the ***.cs and the corresponding stored procedure name begining with proc_ and write them to a .xls file. Can some body help me in writing the parsing program to do this? Also can I get a detailed outline on where should I write the code for c# and where should I compile it? This could be a great help as I don't have any knowledge of C#. Thank you, BK.

So I am trying to compile the libssh2 library on linux, but when I try to compile the example it comes up with a lot of errors, and even though I include the headerfile it asks for, it still asks for it. • What's the diffrence btw System property and system environment variable

    - by khue
Hi all I am not clear about this. When I run a java App or run an Applet in applet viewer,( in the IDE environment), System.getProperty("java.class.path") give me the same as System.getenv("CLASSPATH"), which is the CLASSPATH env variable defined. But when I deploy my applet to webserver and access it from the same computer as a client, I get different result for the two (System.getProperty("java.class.path") only point to jre home and System.getenv("CLASSPATH") return null). And here is some other things that make me wonder: For the applet part, the env var JAVA_HOME, i get the same result when deploying the applet in a browser as well as Applet Viewer. And if I define myself a env variable at system level, and use getenv("envName") the result is null. Is there anyway I can define one and get it in my java program? Thanks a lot Regards K.

  • Avoiding dispose of underlying stream

    - by danbystrom
I'm attempting to mock some file operations. In the "real" object I have: StreamWriter createFile( string name ) { return new StreamWriter( Path.Combine( _outFolder, name ), false, Encoding.UTF8 ) ); } In the mock object I'd like to have: StreamWriter createFile( string name ) { var ms = new MemoryStream(); _files.Add( Path.Combine( _outFolder, name ), ms ); return new StreamWriter( ms, Encoding.UTF8 ) ); } where _files is a dictionary to store created files for later inspection. However, when the consumer closes the StreamWriter, it also disposes the MeamoryStream... :-( Any thoughts on how to pursue this?

  • Incorporate Wordpress into Kohana 3

    - by alex
I now need to make a Kohana 3 site have a Wordpress blog. I've seen Kerkness' Kohana For Wordpress, but it seems to be the opposite of what I want. Here are the options I have thought of Style a template to look exactly like the Kohana site (time consuming, non DRY and may not work) Include the blog within an iframe (ugly as all hell) cURL the Wordpress pages in. This of course means I will need to create layers between comment posting, etc, which sounds like too much work. Is there any way I can include a Wordpress blog within an existing Kohana application? Do you have any suggestions? Thanks Update Forgot to mention I have already programmed a model in Kohana to open pages based on their slug. Now I want to put blog content in there, and have the comments and other bits work. I also have installed WP e-Commerce and am wondering if there is any chance I can get that to work.

  • Different return XML in a WCF Operation

    - by Sean Hederman
    I am writing a service to a international HTTP standard, and there is one method that can return three different XML results, call them Single, Multiple and Error. Now I've written an IXmlSerializable class that can consume each of these results and generate them. However, WCF seems to insist that I can only have a single return XML root name. I have to choose an XmlRoot for my custom object of either Single, Multiple or Error. How can I set up WCF so that I can choose at runtime what the root will be? This is what I have currently. /// <summary> /// A collection of items. /// </summary> [XmlRoot("Multiple", Namespace = "DAV:")] public sealed class ItemCollection : IEnumerable<Item>, IXmlSerializable /// <summary> /// Processes and returns the items. /// </summary> [WebInvoke(Method = "POST", UriTemplate = "{*path}", BodyStyle = WebMessageBodyStyle.Bare)] [OperationContract] [XmlSerializerFormat] ItemCollection Process(string path);

  • How to Key-Value-Observe the rotation of a CALayer?

    - by HelloMoon
I can access the value like this: NSNumber* rotationZ = [myLayer valueForKeyPath:@"transform.rotation.z"]; But for some reason, if I try to KV-observe that key path, I get a compiler error. First, this is how I try to do it: [myLayer addObserver:self forKeyPath:@"transform.rotation.z" options:0 context:nil]; The compiler tells me: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSUnknownKeyException', reason: '[ addObserver: forKeyPath:@"rotation.z" options:0x0 context:0x528890] was sent to an object that is not KVC-compliant for the "rotation" property.' what I don't get is, why I can access that z value by KVC key path, but not add an observer to it. Does this make sense? How else could I observe the z value of that matrix? I don't care about the other values of the matrix. Only the z rotation. Any other way to access and observe it?

  • extend web server to serve static files

    - by Turtle
Hello, I want to extend a web server which is only able to handle RPC handling now. The web server is written in C#. It provides a abstract handler function like following: public string owsHandler(string request, string path, string param, OSHttpRequest httpRequest, OSHttpResponse httpResponse) And I wrote following code to handle image files: Bitmap queryImg = new Bitmap(path); System.IO.MemoryStream stream = new System.IO.MemoryStream(); queryImg.Save(stream, System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Bmp); queryImg.Dispose(); byte[] byteImage = stream.ToArray(); stream.Dispose(); return Convert.ToBase64String(byteImage); And I test it in the browser, the image is returned but the image dimension info is missed. Shall I add something more to the code? Or is any general way to server static files? I do not want to serve it in a ASP.net server. Thanks
