    I have a script that gets the current time, and must pass it to another script. variable v_s_time varchar2(30); exec :v_s_time := to_char(sysdate,'YYYY-MM-DD HH:MI:SS AM'); --Lots of unrelated code here variable v_e_time varchar2(30); exec :v_e_time := to_char(sysdate,'YYYY-MM-DD HH:MI:SS AM'); @"test report script.sql" :v_s_time :v_e_time; --yes, I also tried ":v_s_time", didn't seem to do anything. This does not work, it seems that the literal :v_s_time is passed to the script, instead of what I want: "2010-04-14 05:50:01 PM". To execute this manually, I could enter: @"test report script.sql" "2010-04-14 05:50:01 PM" "2010-04-14 05:57:34 PM" I found that what does work is this: define v_s_time = "2010-04-14 05:50:01 PM" --Lots of unrelated code here define v_e_time = "2010-04-14 05:57:34 PM" @"test report script.sql" "&&v_s_time" "&&v_e_time"; But it is unrealistic to hardcode the datetimes. Anyone know how to handle this? (Oracle 10g)

  • In an ExpandableListView, how can I show one additional line at the end of the child results?

    I have created a custom ExpandableListAdapter and everything works properly. What I'd like to be able to do is in each of the groups add a different type of child to the end. I have tried adding 1 to the getChildrenCount() number and then testing isLastChild in the getChildView() method, but that doesn't seem to work. If a group has three children what I have working looks like this: Group NormalChild NormalChild NormalChild But I'd really like something like this: Group NormalChild NormalChild NormalChild AlternateChild The idea being that the AlternateChild could be a link to more info about the group. Any Ideas? EDIT: ListView has addFooterView() which will allow you to add a footer to a whole ListView... wonder how to add them to the ExpandableListView's children, or if it's even possible

    Using Git or Mercurial, if the working directory is 1GB, then the local repository will be another 1GB (at least), residing normally in the same hard drive. And then when pushed to a central repository, there will be another 1GB. Can Git or Mercurial be set to use only a working directory and then a central repository, without having 3 copies of this 1GB data? (actually, when the central repository also update, then there are 4 copies of the same data... can it be reduced? In the SVN scenario, when there are 5 users, then there will be 6GB of data total. With Distributed Version Control, then there will be 12GB of data?)

  • Packaging one or two plugins as a standalone RCP application?

    I have a handful of Eclipse plugins that I maintain. They are proving useful enough that non Eclipse users have asked for them without the overhead of a full eclipse install. I am certain this is possible, but uncertain how to make this possible. My attempts at creating a standalone RCP app and then including my plugins as dependencies have given me mixed results. More specifically, my perspective tries to instantiate a view from a plugin and fails (silently)... public void createInitialLayout(IPageLayout layout) { layout.addStandaloneView( "myPlugin.ID", false, IPageLayout.LEFT, 0.25f, editorArea); } ... but as the same plugin implements a search extension, it does show up in the standard Eclipse search dialog. Are there any resources that hardened Eclipse tars can point me to, that will help overcome this hurdle? M.

  • If Possible, How Can One Set Either a Background Color on Cells within a Sizer or Gridlines for the

    I am flailing about with wxWidgets, in particular, the wx.Sizer in wxPython. I have read the documents, I have a copy of wXPython in Action before me, and have set aside the problem to work on other things a better mental model of sizers hopefully gestated within my skull. None of this has worked. I am not grokking, or even getting to the point where I can bang about usefully, how sizers work. In HTML, I could at least set a background color on some div or td, or call forth borders so I could see how things are laid out. Here, I have a grey expanse and no idea which of the nested static box sizers from which it originates. I am giving static box sizers after making a mess out of the grid bag sizers. Either alternative would let me at least get a handle on how these work.

My problem is that delta indexing works only for the Discussion model and not for the User model. For ex: When I update the 'title' of a discussion, I can see the thinking sphinx is rotating the indices etc. (as is evident from the logs). But when I update the 'first_name' or the 'last_name' of a user, nothing happens. The User model also has a has_many :through association through a model called GroupsUser. I have setup a after_save on the GroupsUser as follows: def set_user_delta_flag user.delta = true user.save end Even this doesn't seem to trigger delta indexing on the User model. A similar setup for the Discussion model works perfectly! Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

    Given two related tables (reports, report_fields) where there can be many report_fields entries for each reports entry, I need to allow the user to enter new report_fields, delete existing report_fields, and re-arrange the order. Currently I am using a DetailsView to handle the editing of the reports. I added some logic to handle report_fields, and currently it allows you to succesfully re-arrange the order, but i'm a little stumped as to the best way to add new items, or delete existing items. The basic logic I have is that each report_fields is represented by a . It has a description as the text, and a field for each field in the report_fields table. I use JQuery Sortable to allow the user to re-arrange the LIs.     Hey, Im using codeigniter and want to make my portal a bit more seo friendly. I have a controller (articles) witch handles every article, on my portal. The URL looks like this: example.com/articles/category-sub-category/article-name I'm using mod rewrite module to hide my index.php, and codeigniter routing to hide the controller action that handles every call. I want to hide articles too, but if i hide it, every call goes to the articles controller, and thats not what i want, because i want my url look like this: example.com/category-sub-category/article-name Ive tried it with regexp routing rules in the routes.php but i found no way to make it right.

What I mean is given, e.g., rdf:Description rdf:about="http://..." and then some properties identifying this resource, what I want to do is to first find this very resource and then retrieve all the triples given some URI. I have tried naïve approaches by writing statements in a WHERE clause such as: ?x rdf:about ?y and ?x rdfs:about ?y I hope I am being precise.

    Hi, I'm choosing between AMQP (RabbitMQ) vs XMPP (eJabberd) for my browser-based flash-free javascript powered real-time turn-based game. I don't know much about AMQP and XMPP protocol. I would like to use PHP for user-authorization and some data store-retrieve with MySQL. As far as I found out, RabbitMQ has PHP clients but eJabberd not. What I understood is javascript client calls PHP script and manipulate necessary processing and then pass to AMQP or XMPP server to pass the data to opponent player. There is a good book 'Pro XMPP Programming with JS and jQuery' from Wrox but there is no example with PHP. The form is for an 'Incident', which has the following relationships: belongs_to :customer belongs_to :user has_one :incident_status has_many :incident_notes accepts_nested_attributes_for :incident_notes, :allow_destroy => false So an incident is assigned to a 'Customer' and a 'User', and the user is able to add 'Notes' to the incident.
