    Here is what I got: <select id="box1"> <option>ABCDEFG</option> </select> <select id="box2"> <option>ABCDEFGHIJKLMNO</option> </select> I have 2 different Drop Down lists. Since the width of a drop down list depends on the width of the longest text in the option, I end up with 2 drop down lists with 2 different widths. This makes my webpage look goofy. What I want is to set it so that both of my drop down lists will have the same width (I'd prefer the width to be very long, so that even the longest item won't be truncated).

For my code, what i wish to do is permutation count. it will count from top to bottom 1,2,3 1,2,3 1,2,3 output to 111 = 1 112 = 1 113 = 1 121 = 1 122 = 1 123 = 1 133 = 1 211 = 1 212 = 1 213 = 1 333 = 1 and continue till all number is count and also store to the array which can check how many count after all code will check the input number and count how many outcome and show the results with how many outcome and each have how many after permutation count.   • Image in table cell doesn't scale down: using ie8/7

    Can anyone help me troubleshoot my website? http://www.andrewstonyer.co.uk/test/ My problem: On IE8/7 if you click on a thumbnail (only 'Pulse' and 'Time Within The Hour' are wired in right now) an overlay appears with detail of that piece. What should happen, and does in Gecko/Webkit, is that the overlay contains a table with a heading, a scaled, centered image, and a nav menu. There is a toggle for text, which pushes up the image cell and makes the image smaller, keeping proportion. I know the overlay looks like ass right now- those are just placeholder colours :) On IE, the image doesn't fit perfectly in the table cell, which means that everything is pushed down outside the window. I can't see the nav menu. It appears to render the image at actual pixel size (in the CSS, the img class element is set to 100% height). The text cell is toggled with jquery, when toggled on in IE, it doesn't appear to 'squeeze' the above cell, which is what I want to happen. Could any experts help? Regards, Jon

    i've used a DataList (dlparent) control for one of my page. Inside that datalist is another Datalist (dlchild) that is being populated by itemdatabound event of the parent datalist. i've used css with dlchild. Databinding is ok and the required output shows great with mozilla and IE but not in netscape, safari and google chrome. dlchild is not showing. only item in dlparent appears. Originally I was just having it put the variable into a text box and then I was posting that text box. However I dont want to have 5 text boxes. I don't want to use an ActiveX, or OWC (Office Web Components), I just want to open an existing file from the internet explorer application. I don't want users to download and then open it.   • Set z-index with javascript setTimeout()

    What I'm trying to do is to have 4 expandable divs overlapping each other with transition set in css for 0.6s. Because the expanding lasts for 0.6s I'd like to have the expanded div lose it's higher z-index after it's done collapsing, otherwise it looks silly. However, it doesn't work, the z-index remains unchanged. It's probably somethings stupid, but I just can't find it.     Many email clients don't like linked CSS stylesheets, or even the embedded <style> tag, but rather want the CSS to appear inline as style attributes on all your markup. BAD: <link rel=stylesheet type="text/css" href="/style.css"> BAD: <style type="text/css">...</style> WORKS: <h1 style="margin: 0">...</h1> However this inline style attribute approach is a right pain to manage. I've found tools for Ruby and PHP that will take a CSS file and some separate markup as input and return you the merged result - a single file of markup with all the CSS converted to style attributes. I'm looking for a Perl solution to this problem, but I've not found one on CPAN or by searching Google. Any pointers?   • Rotating png images using css in IE

    Here is a mockup for something called "Diversity Disc": http://diversity.iest.pl/ It is just three disks that you can rotate and read "results". I am using there just four png images, and rotate using jQuery f.i: $.fn.rleft = function() { return this.animate({ rotate: '-=45deg' }); }; It works not so bad in most new browser. But in all versions of IE things go terribly wrong. There is problem with rotation, and with png: after rotation, there is happening something very ugly with alpha transparency of those images. So my question is, is this possible to make it work in IE 8 and 7 (and, more or less IE 6?). If no I will be forced to order it in Flash. But I would like first to try to do it using just css and javascript (svg?). So what I am doing wrong? Do you have any tips, for using different technology, or js library? Thank you in advance for any answers.

When you click the Update Cart button it just updates the cart page it's on, but when you click the Shop More button it links to Shop.aspx a different page, and the Checkout links to another page as well. I can't figure out how it is linking just from that code, anybody have any insights?
