  • DTD definition error

    Hi, It will get a error to define a dtd as follow: <!ELEMENT line (property*)> <!ATTLIST line showType (1|?|+|*) "1" > The error: The name token is required in the enumerated type list for the "showType" attribute declaration. It seems the value can't be special characters,such as "?","+","*". To change the characters to Latin-1 characters, like "& #42;"(add a blank before '#') , get the same error. How to resolve this problem? Thanks!

    Is this possible to achieve in blogger? My goal is to make Static page images to become clickable and link it to the actual post page. I know its possible by editing each post but I want to make it automatic. For example: In 9gag.com when you click the image from the homepage it will actually link you to the post page. I want to do the same but in blogger.     I have a XSD simple type that should match UUIDs: <simpleType name="UuidT"> <restriction base="string"> <pattern value="[a-f0-9]{8}-[a-f0-9]{4}-[a-f0-9]{4}-[a-f0-9]{4}-[a-f0-9]{12}" /> </restriction> </simpleType> It correctly matches the following content: <!-- valid --> <Uuid>12345678-1234-5678-9012-123456789012</Uuid> But it doesn't match content that contains excess whitespace: <!-- not valid --> <Uuid> 2de25a81-b117-4b2a-b910-50f0878884f7 </Uuid> Sure, I could add \s* to both sides of the regex, but isn't there a simpler solution in XSD?

  • What's going on with my server? High load, lots of idle CPU time, low disk utilization

    I run a web site and send a legitimate opt-in, daily email newsletter to subscribers. Both the web hosting and email sending are done by the same machine. I have about 100,000 subscribers who have opted in to my daily email newsletter. My PHP script did a pretty good job sending mail to all of them until fairly recently, but as the list has grown I can't keep up. When I run top, I have very high load--usually at least 6 or 7, sometimes as high as 15--even though I only have two CPUs. However, when I run sar, my CPU is idle an average of about 30% of the time. So, it seems I'm not CPU bound. When I run iostat, it seems as though I'm not disk bound because my %util for each device is very low (no more than 5%). Given that I don't seem to be CPU bound or disk bound, why is top reporting such high load? Additionally, since I don't seem to be CPU bound or disk bound, why is my email sending script not able to keep up?   • File paths with XSLT includes

    Hi again everyone. I'm working on a website with a large number of pages, and each one has this in it: <xsl:include href="team-menu.xsl" /> This xsl file is stored in the root directory. Essentially including my "team menu" on each page. My problem is when I include this on nested pages, e.g. "/teammembers/smith.xsl", the links in the menu are broken because they refer to pages that aren't in the same directory as the page i'm viewing. This is probably really easy, but I just don't know how to fix it. Is there a way to tell the XSL the root directory and/or set some sort of global directory? Thanks for your help!

    I'm using ASP.NET MVC with XmlResult from MVCContrib. I have an array of Xxxx objects, which I pass into XmlResult. This gets serialized as: <ArrayOfXxxx> <Xxxx /> <Xxxx /> <ArrayOfXxxx> I would like this to look like: <Xxxxs> <Xxxx /> <Xxxx /> <Xxxxs> Is there a way to specify how a class gets serialized when it is part of array? I'm already using XmlType to change the display name, is there something similar that lets you set its group name when in an array. [XmlType(TypeName="Xxxx")] public class SomeClass Or, will I need to add a wrapper class for this collection?

  • Objective C Object Functioning & Passing Arrays

    I apologise if this has been asked before but I can't find the info I need. Basically I want a UITableView to be populated using info from a server, similar to the SeismicXML example. I have the parser as a separate object, is it correct to alloc, init an instance of that parser & then tell RootViewController to make it's table data source a copy of the parser's array. I can't include code because I haven't written anything yet, I'm just trying to get the design right before I start. Perhaps something like: xmlParser = [[XMLParser alloc] init]; [xmlParser getXMLData]; // Assuming xmlParser stores results in an array called returnedArray self.tableDataSource = xmlParser.returnedArray Is this the best way of doing it?

  • Twitter feed appears to be both RSS 2.0 and Atom?

    I'm parsing various site feeds, and putting together a small library to help me do it. Looking at the Atom RFC and RSS 2.0 specification, feeds from Twitter seem to be a combination. Twitter specifies an Atom namespace in an RSS 2.0 structure? GitHub uses Atom, whereas Flickr (offers multiple but the default 'Latest' feed from user profiles) appears to be RSS 2.0. How can Twitter specify a Atom namespace and then use RSS? This makes parsing feeds a little ambiguous, unless I ignore any specified namespace and just examine the document structure.

(Note: This is not my homework; I go to school but in my informatics class are really only guys that would answer with "Can I eat that?" when I ask them about kernels. Same with my teacher.)

    I am getting different value for TimeZone.getDefault().getID() on different systems. For example, in case of Indian standard time, On one of the system we are getting "GMT+5:30": while on another we are getting "Asia/Calcutta". We are expected to get "Asia/calcutta" strings on all machines. Why is there an inconsistency for such behavior? Is there any way to get consistent behavior across different systems windows/MAC? What is the best way to get client time zone programmatically using Java?

  • How can one close html tags in vim quickly

    It's been a while since I've had to do any html-like code in vim, but recently I came across this again. Say I'm doing a simple bit of a html page: <html><head><title>This is a title</title></head></html> How do I write those closing tags for title, head and html down quickly? I feel like I'm missing some really simple way here that does not involve me going through writing them all down one by one. Of course I can use ^P to autocomplete the individual tag names but what gets me on my laptop keyboard is actually getting the brackets and slash right.

    If I have systems that are based on realtime data, how can I ensure that all the information that is current is redundantly stored in a file? So that when the program starts again, it uses this information to initialize itself back to where it was when it closed. I know of xstream and HSQLDB. but wasn't sure if this was the best option for data that needs to be a literal carbon copy.

    Resolving an xpath that includes namepsaces in Java appears to require the use of a NamespaceContext object, mapping prefixes to namespace urls and vice versa. But I can find no mechanism for getting a NamespaceContext other than implementing it myself. This seems counter-intuitive. Is there any easy way to acquire a NamespaceContext from a document, or to create one, or failing that, to forgo prefixes altogether and specify the xpath with fully qualified names?

I know that you can't return a List, Set, Collection, Map, or any interface, from a WebMethod (which is stupid, IMO, but I don't know what the design reasons were should I should probably withhold judgment).     Hi i have a document from which i am trying to extract a date. But the problem is within the node along with the date their is some text too. Something like <div class="postHeader"> Posted on July 20, 2009 9:22 PM PDT </div> From this tag i just want the date item not the Posted on text. something like ./xhtml:div[@class = 'postHeader'] is getting everything. and to be precise, the document i have is basically a nodelist of this elements for eg i will get 10 nodes of these elements with different date values but to be worse the problem is sometime inside these tags some random other tags also pops us like anchors etc. Can i write a universal expath which will just get the date out of the div tag?

  • Scrum for Team System 2010 - How to use story points instead of Hours

    I have installed TFS 2010 using the Scrum for Team System v3. The work item templates want you to enter a Project Backlog Item that includes story points, then you need to add linked tasks as a child of the PBI. It is at the task level where you can assign team individuals, update estimated hours left, etc. What is the importance of the Story Points used at the PBI item if individual tasks are using hours? Has anyone customized this template so that the child work item tasks use story point burn downs instead of hours? Also, I would be nice to have the total number of story points from each individual task roll up into the PBI item as a read only field for total story points. Thanks for your time.

    Is there a way to dynamically show and hide preferences? In my case, I have a checkbox preference that would disable or enable one of 2 preference groups ("with-" and "without-handicap" groups). While this would be the ideal GUI in a desktop environment, the "with-handicap" takes up nearly the whole screen, while the other, "without-handicap" takes up only a small portion of the screen. Rather than showing both groups at the same time, I'd like to show only one of them at a time, and dynamically show or hide the 2 groups when the checkbox changes. Is there a way to do this?
