  • How to center drawableTop and text vertically on the Button in Android?

    I have the Button defined as follows: <Button android:drawableTop="@drawable/ico" android:gravity="center" android:id="@+id/StartButton2x2" android:text="@string/Widget2x2StartBtnLabel" android:layout_width="0dip" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1" android:background="@drawable/widgetbtn_bg" /> The problem is that 'drawableTop' image is aligned to the top border of the Button view. I would like to center it (together with text label) vertically on the button. 'android:gravity' seems to work only on text label. It does not affect 'drawableTop' positioning. I was able to center it vertically using 'android:paddingTop' - but that does not seem to be a good idea. I guess it would not work properly on different screen resolution/size.

I dont mind if windows 7 gets replaced by Windows XP,all i want is windows XP on my system.I am not getting the way to install XP.   • Is it possible to navigate to the parent node of a matched node during XSLT processing?

    I'm working with an OpenXML document, processing the main document part with some XSLT. I've selected a set of nodes via <xsl:template match="w:sdt"> </xsl:template> In most cases, I simply need to replace that matched node with something else, and that works fine. BUT, in some cases, I need to replace not the w:sdt node that matched, but the closest w:p ancestor node (ie the first paragraph node that contains the sdt node). The trick is that the condition used to decide one or the other is based on data derived from the attributes of the sdt node, so I can't use a typical xslt xpath filter. I'm trying to do something like this <xsl:template match="w:sdt"> <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test={first condition}> {apply whatever templating is necessary} </xsl:when> <xsl:when test={exception condition}> <!-- select the parent of the ancestor w:p nodes and apply the appropriate templates --> <xsl:apply-templates select="(ancestor::w:p)/.." mode="backout" /> </xsl:when> </xsl:choose> </xsl:template> <!-- by using "mode", only this template will be applied to those matching nodes from the apply-templates above --> <xsl:template match="node()" mode="backout"> {CUSTOM FORMAT the node appropriately} </xsl:template> This whole concept works, BUT no matter what I've tried, It always applies the formatting from the CUSTOM FORMAT template to the w:p node, NOT it's parent node. It's almost as if you can't reference a parent from a matching node. And maybe you can't, but I haven't found any docs that say you can't Any ideas?

  • flex data provider not working if XML has single node value or less

    hello, i get this error when i retrieve an XML that only has 1 node (no repeating nodes) and i try to store in an ArrayCollection. -When I have MORE than 1 "name" nodes...i do NOT get an error. My test show that XMLListCollection does NOT work either. TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert "XXXXXX" to mx.collections.ArrayCollection. this error occurs as the line of code: myList= e.result.list.name; Why can't ArrayCollection work with a single node? I'm using this ArrayCollection as a dataprovider for a Component -is there an alternative I can use that will take BOTH single and repeating nodes as well as work as a dataprovider?     Hi I followed the commonly-linked tip for reducing an application to the system tray : http://www.developer.com/net/csharp/article.php/3336751 Now it works, but there is still a problem : my application is shown when it starts ; I want it to start directly in the systray. I tried to minimize and hide it in the Load event, but it does nothing. Edit : I could, as a poster suggested, modify the shortcut properties, but I'd rather use code : I don't have complete control over every computer the soft is installed on. I don't want to remove it completely from everywhere except the systray, I just want it to start minimized. Any ideas ? Thanks

  • Scalable (half-million files) version control system

    We use SVN for our source-code revision control and are experimenting using it for non-source-code files. We are working with a large set (300-500k) of short (1-4kB) text files that will be updated on a regular basis and need to version control it. We tried using SVN in flat-file mode and it is struggling to handle the first commit (500k files checked in) taking about 36 hours. On a daily basis, we need the system to be able to handle 10k modified files per commit transaction in a short time (<5 min). My questions: Is SVN the right solution for my purpose. The initial speed seems too slow for practical use. If Yes, is there a particular svn server implementation that is fast? (We are currently using the gnu/linux default svn server and command line client.) If No, what are the best f/oss/commercial alternatives Thanks

  • Photo printing API system?

    I am looking for options to provide customers on my website a way to order prints for photos. (It is a photo sharing site, so it needs to be automated, I don't want any portfolio sites that require uploads and what not). Basically it just needs where I send them the photos, the address, (and possibly billing info) and they make the prints and mail them out. I have searched all over the place for such a system, but none seem to offer what I want. I tried hacking snapfish (which worked, but it says "Return to Picasa" on the buttons, which makes it sort of lame...) Any ideas?

  • PHP: xml_parse replaces entities and "?" character

    How can I describe something I can't quite put my finger on? I have a module for RSS reading "magpierss" it uses xml_parse() and after extensive troubleshooting all I can come up with is that it removes certain entities like "?" character. I haven't written this module myself but I have traced the code until the part uses xml_parse() and then the output is just replaced. And to my disappointment this behavior exists on our production server only and not the local server. I have compared both php.ini file to search for any differences but couldn't find anything. Could anyone please direct on where to search exactly, i don't even know which direction to start from. Thanks

    I am using System.Linq.Dynamic to do custom where clauses from an ajax call in .Net MVC 1.0. It works fine for strings, int etc but not for DateTime, I get the exception cannot compare String to DateTime. The very simple test code is items = items.Where(string.Format(@" {0} {1}{2}{1} ", searchField, delimiter, searchString)); Where searchField will be for example start_date and the data type is DateTime, delimiter is " (tried with nothing as well) and searchString will be 01-Jan-2009 (tried with 01/01/2009 as well) and items is an IQueryable from LinqToSql. Is there a way of specifying the data type in a dynamic where, or is there a better approach. It is currently already using some reflection to work out what type of delimiter is required.

I understand one of the advices behind that is to separate general high-level mechanism from low-level details (as announced by Dependency Inversion Principle). Why do I have to specify what dependents to take in the very same place I use them (i.e. MenuManagementBean class in my example)? Is there a way to inject collections of beans in the XML configuration like this (without any annotation in the MMB class)? <bean class="MenuManagementBean"> <property name="options"> <xxx:autowire by-type="MyOptionImpl"/> </property> </bean>

    My new boss went to a speech where Deliverance, a kind of proxy allowing to add skin to any html output on the fly, was presented. He decided to use it right after that, no matter how young it is. More here : http://www.openplans.org/projects/deliverance/introduction In theory, the system sounds great when you want a newbie to tweak your plone theme without having to teach him all the complex mechanisms behind the zope products. And apply the same theme on a Drupal web site in one row. But I don't believe in theory, and would like to know if anybody tried this out in the real world :-)

Is there any way that I can check whether or not an alert() was executed on a remote site? Like if I inputted an alert("Welcome to this site"); through a get variable, is there any way to check if it that alert() was actually executed in the browser? And not necessarily through AJAX/JS.

  • MS Word to Stylesheet

    Is there an easy way to automatically convert a bunch of MS Word documents to xslt stylesheets that can be displayed in the browser? What I have is a large collection of forms in Word format that have to be displayed in the browser, or sent to the user, with known fields populated from a data source, edited by a user and, finally, printed (including the original headers and footers). The data entered by the user will not need to be saved. I'm not sure if converting the documents to stylesheets is even feasible. Maybe someone has a better idea of how to achieve this? Installing Office on the server is not an option in my case.
