    What do people think is the best JSF framework or library for a saving state longer than request scope (but w/o using session scope) that is backbutton/new window safe -- i.e. you have a "wizard"/multi-page form. For example, MyFaces has the 'SaveState' tag (http://bit.ly/8QHmX5) that allows you to maintain state across pages by saving state in the view's component tree. Any comments on SaveState (pros/cons) or suggestions for any better framework or library for this capability?

  • How can I create an automatic svn tagging script?

    I want to create a simple script that tags the latest revision to the tags folder, for example: for Trunk directory head revision 114, it will create a tag of this directory to the Tags directory which goes by the name "r114". I don't really care of what scripting language it'll use (as long as it runs on windows). I tried creating such script using SVN CLI tool, but it failed connecting to a SSL repository. How can I achieve that?

  • What's the actual windows media player maximum banner width?

    When looking at the documentation for the banner tag in windows media metafiles all the documentation says there is a maximum size of 194 x 32 pixels. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd562478(v=VS.85).aspx However, when experimenting with larger images they seem to be displaying correctly. Is there some real undocumented limitation here? Will it get cut off on different/older versions?

    I want to style the :active state of a button that is represented by an . The tag has an inner (beacuse I want to add an icon to this button). I notice the :active state is triggered properly in everything but Internet Explorer. In IE, it appears that the area around the (the 's padding) triggers that :active state, but when clicking directly on the text within the , the :active state is not triggered. Is there a way to fix this without resorting to Javascript?

    Hi All right now I am moving first steps in clustering. I installed MPICH2 on my Ubuntu at home and I have a silly question about it. For what I am reading right now it seems that it provides the capability of sending processes to other pcs. I went for this lib just because I set it up very quickly and easily. Compared to MPICH2 , do you know what is the advantage of having a different clustering system like KERRYGHED? It seems that these ones also provide this capability, but the Kernel must be rebuild, so I suppose that it is going to be faster. What other advantages are remarkable for a clustering system like this? Thanks

    to read a child node content i use : MYDATA = xhr.responseXML.getElementsByTagName("MenuItem") [INDEX].getElementsByTagName("PageContent")[0].childNodes[0].nodeValue; sometimes when the childnode data contains an HTML tag (eg b or br tags, because they have the <), i have problems since they are counted like xml tags (like childnodes). my question is how to get the entire data from a child node even if it contains other html tags exp : MenuItem MenuText menu b text b MenuText MenuItem would return "menu" !!! but i want it to return :"menu text" thank you guys, and happy new year

  • jQuery Selectable only select 1 and get a value?

    This might seem like an odd request but I'd like to use jQuery's Selectable tool to only select one item at a time and I'd like it to show me a value I'll have within each tag. At the very least I want the contents of that selection. Has anyone tried to do this? For some reason these little things seem to not be all that easily findable in their API for it.

  • Firewall blocks outgoing email

    On my Debian server running a Django website, I have an error when I need to send an email. The error received is Exception Type: gaierror Exception Value: [Errno -2] Name or service not known Exception Location: /usr/lib/python2.6/socket.py in create_connection, line 547 You can see the full error log here. After testing, it seems it is my firewall that blocks the request. You can see my iptable file (/etc/init.d/firewall). I think the problem comes from the two commented lines that were supposed to accepts all established connections. When I uncomment them, I have an error iptables: No chain/target/match by that name.   • ASP.Net - How do I allow users to enter html tags in textbox without runtime errors?

    I have an input textbox on an asp.net page and when a user inputs any tags like break tags or bold an error occurs. I currently am using the following to encode the input: Server.HtmlEncode(mytextbox.Text) However this only encodes characters when they aren't phrased as an html tag, like if the input is "<<<" is there a way for me to allow the user to put the tags in without it leading to a runtime error?     I have a jQueryUI dialog with some textboxes, plus a button. Right now, the asp:Button tag used to generate the button automatically sets its type as type="submit". The structure of the dialog is such that pressing enter at any of the textboxes should not call the button click event. It seems like the cleanest way to solve the problem, if it is doable, is to manually set the button's type to something other than submit. Is there a way to do this?
