  • C++ game loop example

    Can someone write up a source for a program that just has a "game loop", which just keeps looping until you press Esc, and the program shows a basic image.   • Selenium : Handling Loading screens obscuring the web elements. (Java)

    I'm writing an automated test case for a web page. Here's my scenario. I have to click and type on various web elements in an html form. But, sometimes while typing on a text field, an ajax loading image appears , fogging all elements i want to interact with. So, I'm using web-driver wait before clicking on the actual elements like below, WebdriverWait innerwait=new WebDriverWait(driver,30); innerwait.until(ExpectedConditions.elementToBeClickable(By.xpath(fieldID))); driver.findelement(By.xpath(fieldID)).click(); But the wait function returns the element even if it is fogged by another image and is not clickable. But the click() throws an exception as Element is not clickable at point (586.5, 278). Other element would receive the click: <div>Loading image</div> Do I have to check every time if the loading image appeared before interacting with any elements?.(I can't predict when the loading image will appear and fog all elements.) Is there any efficient way to handle this?   • Implementing deadlock condition

    I am trying to implementing deadlock condition but somehow I am not able to get it working. Both the threads Thread1 and Thread2 are entering in the run function but only one of them enters in Sub/Sum depending on who entered run first. Example : if Thread2 entered run first the it will call sub() and Thread1 never calls sum(). What I want is for a different image to be loaded everytime depending upon the option selected . there will be over 2000 entries in the listbox. Considering this what is the best way of going about this ? I can figure out the if/then part , but my main question is whether its ok to put all the 2000 long image addresses in the html file itself ? I hope I was clear ..

  • Categorize data without consolidating?

    I have a table with about 1000 records and 2000 columns. What I want to do is categorize each row such that all records with equal column values for all columns except 'ID' are given a category ID. My final answer would look like: ID A B C ..... Category ID 1 1 0 3 1 2 2 1 3 2 3 1 0 3 1 4 2 1 3 2 5 4 5 6 3 6 4 5 6 3 where all columns (besides ID) are equal for IDs 1,3 so they get the same category ID and so on. I guess my thought was to just write a SQL query that does a group by on every single column besides 'ID' and assign a number to each group and then join back to my original table. My current input is a text file, and I have SAS, MS Access, and Excel to work with. (I could use proc sql from within SAS). Before I go this route and construct the whole query, I was just wondering if there was a better way to do this? It will take some work just to write the query, and I'm not even sure if it is practical to join on 2000 columns (never tried), so I thought I'd ask for ideas before I got too far down the wrong path. EDIT: I just realized my title doesn't really make sense. What I was originally thinking was "Is there a way I can group by and categorize at the same time without actually consolidating into groups?"

    Is there something less costly than Citrix XenApp and something better than Windows TS? The industry seems to be dominated by citrix. I'm currently using Windows 2000 Server Terminal Server, but now I have to switch to something better because of performance/color issues. I'm faced with 2 options: 1) Upgrade to Windows 2008 Server + TS (now has App publishing i think?) 2) Get Citrix XenApp Any suggestions or anything I'm not aware of? Cheers

    I'm running apache with a worker MPM and php with fastcgi. the following are my mpm limits: StartServers 5 MinSpareThreads 5 MaxSpareThreads 10 ThreadLimit 64 ThreadsPerChild 10 MaxClients 10 MaxRequestsPerChild 2000 I've also setup my php-cgi with the following: PHP_FCGI_CHILDREN=5 PHP_FCGI_MAX_REQUESTS=500 I'm noticing that my average php-cgi process is using around 200+mb of RAM, even as soon as they are started. However, my php memory_limit is only 128M. How is this possible, and what can I do to lower the php-cgi memory consumption?

  • Is the PowerPC (G4) architecture better than Intel x86 architecture for certain types of application

    I have a PowerMac G4 from around the year 2000. It's a serviceable Unix machine but I don't do much with it since I have plenty of Pentium 4 machines around with Linux on them. I was wondering if the PowerPC based machine is capable of handling certain tasks faster or "better" than Intel based machines, or is it just another computer to use. I have OSX 10.4 Tiger for it, and I don't mind installing Yellow Dog Linux or UbuntuPPC if that will make it more useable.

    I always see the configuring ms office with a an endless progress bar, 2 or more weeks after I installed ms office(2000, 2003, 2010 beta). I'm not exactly sure what it is called but it is trying to configure ms office.Or maybe repairing the installation. And it sucks because when I need to access ms word NOW, I can only see that box with the progress bar. And when I press cancel, it won't open ms word, or maybe the whole suite(ms word, powerpoint, excel) What might be a possible solution to this?anyone here who has encountered it before

    There used to be a command line tool called QFECheck in Windows Server 2000 that would list them out. Is this the preferred method on windows server 2003/2008? I know they're listed in Add/Remove programs, but it's hard to capture them for an audit this way. Can i do this without having to install an add-on executable?

  • can't open Evolution mail in Ubuntu

    I have an issue with Evolution mail in Ubuntu. Evolution opens up, starts downloading emails asoon as I click on something in Evolution it closes down, I know there are about 2000 mails that need to be downloaded. And sometimes Evolution comes back again and if I click something in evolution it disappears again. I'm running Ubuntu 9.10. This happened since I added two extra email accounts?     I'm trying to use HAProxy as a fully transparent proxy using TPROXY in Ubuntu 14.04. HAProxy will be setup on the first server with eth1 111.111.250.250 and eth0 10.111.128.134. The single balanced server has eth1 and eth0 as well. eth1 is the public facing network interface while eth0 is for the private network which both servers are in. Problem: I'm able to connect to the balanced server's port 1234 directly (via eth1) but am not able to reach the balanced server via Haproxy port 1234 (which redirects to 1234 via eth0). Am I missing out something in this configuration?     I'm running apache with a worker MPM and php with fastcgi. the following are my mpm limits: StartServers 5 MinSpareThreads 5 MaxSpareThreads 10 ThreadLimit 64 ThreadsPerChild 10 MaxClients 10 MaxRequestsPerChild 2000 I've also setup my php-cgi with the following: PHP_FCGI_CHILDREN=5 PHP_FCGI_MAX_REQUESTS=500 I'm noticing that my average php-cgi process is using around 200+mb of RAM, even as soon as they are started. However, my php memory_limit is only 128M. How is this possible, and what can I do to lower the php-cgi memory consumption?

  • Why are there hard faults when my RAM is not 100% used?

    I've got 2GB of RAM and the resource monitor shows that it's only used about 75%. However there are some apps (NetBeans, Visual Studio) that every once in a while start making a lot of hard faults (up to and over 2000/min), thus predictably slowing down to a crawl. How is this so? The memory usage during these "fits" doesn't change. Perhaps it also includes memory mapped files or something?
