Here's my httpd-vhosts.conf file: <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot "C:\Users\wbaizer\PhpstormProjects\Test" ServerName test1.localhost </VirtualHost> my hosts file has the following: 127.0.0.1 test1.localhost when I try to access test1.localhost in Chrome it gives me this message: "You don't have permission to access the requested directory. There is either no index document or the directory is read-protected." What am I doing wrong, what do I need to do, and how do I do that?

    SO I am trying to setup a RewriteRule on my server for caching static objects. the files are in this naming scheme /docroot/css/stylesheet.min.css and I have them printed in the code like /docroot/css/stylesheet.min.123438348.css (the number is example it comes from a get modified function). Note docroot is an example directory how can I have the server ignore the numbers and redirect to the stylesheet.min.css I need to do this for every css and js files (/js and /css) as well as one specific spritemap image my current attempt RewriteRule ^/(docroot)/(js|css)/(.+).(min).(.+).(js|css)$ /$1/$2/$3.$4.$6 RewriteRule ^(/docroot/images/spritemap).([0-9]+).(png)$ $1.$3 Update: Now I have the setup like this RewriteEngine on Options FollowSymLinks RewriteRule ^(.+).(min).([0-9]+).(js|css)$ $1.$2.$4 [L] This is rewriting localhost/docroot/css/stylesheet.min.12343242.css to /var/www/html/docroot/trunk/docroot/css/stylesheet.min.css so it is getting the right file how do I get apache to take off the beginning of the that the /var/www/html/docroot/trunk/

  • Creating video with audio and still image for YouTube

    I'm running the following command: ffmpeg -i audio.mp3 -ar 44100 -f image2 -i logo.jpg -r 15 -b 1800 -s 640x480 foo.mov Which successfully outputs a video with my recorded audio and an image on it. When I try and upload this to YouTube it fails to process, regardless of the formats I try: .mov, .avi, .flv, .mp4 Is there some setting I'm missing in the above that would generate a format Youtube will accept? I've tried looking through the ffmpeg documentation but I'm in over my head. I did an experiment by putting a 2 second video with a 30 second mp3. When I uploaded to youtube, the resulting video was only 2 seconds long. So it may be that YouTube looks only to the video track for the length, and since a picture is only a frame long or whatever, maybe that borks it.

    Is there a way to create fillable PDF forms where a set of fields gets their data when one of the fields is filled out? The normal use case would be application form, where your name or membership number has to be entered on the top of each page. I am using LibreOffice 3.5.4.2. In a earlier version I was able to get the desired effect if I left the field names to be the same (i.e. the field names as seen in the Form Navigator). I'm open for using any free software tool. There is a similiar question asked elsewhere at ask.libreoffice.org.

    I'm trying to set up a personalized security option on my computer to take a picture using the webcam whenever someone tries to log onto my computer using an incorrect password. I've set up the task in the task scheduler, and I can get it to pass, but then the problem begins. When the task passes, it triggers like a million times and keeps going until I disable the task. Does anybody know why it might be doing that and how to make it not?

  • Visual Studio 2010 Crashes when Creating or Editing a Report (.rdlc) with the Report Designer

    This is an issue I had with VS 2010 RC and was hoping would be solved with the first official release. Sadly it wasn't. What I have is a number of reports originally created with VS 2008. When opening any of these for editing in VS 2010's Report Designer VS hangs for about two minutes and then shuts down. Same happens when creating a new report using the wizard. Only difference is that a dialog opens up showing a "Loading ..." message then hangs for about the same amount of time and crashes. Running devenv /log gives nothing of value. The Windows Application Event Viewer shows only this: Faulting application name: devenv.exe, version: 10.0.30319.1, time stamp: 0x4ba1fab3 Faulting module name: clr.dll, version: 4.0.30319.1, time stamp: 0x4ba1d9ef Exception code: 0xc00000fd Fault offset: 0x00001919 Faulting process id: 0xc38 Faulting And this: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.4927 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (6F551CF2) (0) Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution? OR -- Is there a better tool for rapidly creating decent reports within a WinForms app? Help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Creating a 'Custom Designer' Visual Studio 2010 Add-in

    A major part of our work is creating and manipulating certain XML files, for which have a custom editor. The editor is starting to get creaky and we are looking at building a replacement. Since VS2010 has recently arrived, ostensibly with an improved add-in architecture (MEF?), I am interested in the possibility of building the editor as a custom editor within Visual Studio. It would have to appear in the same way as the code editor or the Designer - a tab item, of which there can be many open at once, containing the GUI we use to edit the files. It would integrate with VS's Edit menu. It could use the output window to display messages. It would appear the same as any other editor within Visual Studio. Right now, I am looking for examples of add-ins that work in a similar way - ideally with source code - to see whether this model would suit our requirements. I am also looking for any documentation or tutorials relevant to creating a VS2010 add-in, or information about VS2008 add-ins if this is still relevant. Any input is welcome. Thanks!

    I plan to create very simple custom IP-STS for SharePoint foundation 2010 without ADFS server so anyone can integrate Windows Live ID to SharePoint foundation 2010 simply without ADFS, I can't use ADFS server because it could not install on Windows Web Server 2008 (Web Edition), also I found many article use LDAP provider but it does not exists in SharePoint Foundation too (it requires Sharepoint Server Edition).   • Creating files with french characters and encoding.

    HI, I am creating a file like so. FileStream temp = File.Create( this.FileName ); Then putting data in the file like so. this.Writer = new StreamWriter( this.Stream ); this.Writer.WriteLine( strMessage ); That code is encapsulated in a class hierarchy but that is the meat and potatoes of it. My problem is this. MSDN says that the default encoding for creating a file this way is UTF8. And when I write a french character such as é Textpad interprets the file as a UTF 8 file, but notepad++ says it's "ANSI as UTF8" or maybe it's an ansi file but is reading it as UTF8. When I create a file the same way without the french character both textpad and notepad++ read the file as an ansi file even though according to msdn it should be a utf 8 file still. Which program should be trusted. Notepad++ or textpad - Notepad++ seems to be more consistant, but is still the oppossite to what MSDN says it should be. My problem is that we create files that get sent off to another company and depending on whether there are french characters the encoding seems to keep changing. Or is there a better way to determine the encoding of a file. I've read about byte order marks and preambles but as far as I understand neither are guaranteed to be there. We initially thought that all the files we were building were ansi. Also please note that both ansi and utf8 should handle the french characters appropriately as the characters are part of both character sets.

    Hi, I'm trying to build a navigation system using categories table with hierarchies. Normally, the table would be defined as follows: id (int) - Primary key name (varchar) - Name of the Category parentid (int) - Parent ID of this Category referenced to same table (Self Join) But the catch is that I require that a category can be child to multiple parent categories.. Just like a Has and Belongs to Many (HABTM) relation. I know that if there are two tables, categories & items, we use a join table categories_items to list the HABTM relations. But here i'm not having two tables but only table but should somehow show HABTM relations to itself. Is this be possible using a single table? If yes, How? If not possible, what rules (table naming, fields) should I follow while creating the additional join table? I'm trying to achieve this using CakePHP, If someone can provide CakePHP solution for this problem, that would be awesome. Even if that's not possible, any solution about creating join table is appreciated. Thanks for your time.

  • Issue in creating Zip file using glob.glob

    Hi, I am creating a Zip file from a folder (and subfolders). it works fine and creates a new .zip file also but I am having an issue while using glob.glob. It is reading all files from the desired folder (source folder) and writing to the new zip file but the problem is that it is, however, adding subdirectories, but not adding files form the subdirectories. I am giving user an option to select the filename and path as well as filetype also (Zip or Tar). I don;t get any problem while creating .tar.gz file, but when use creates .zip file, this problem comes across. Here is my code: for name in (Source_Dir): for name in glob.glob("/path/to/source/dir/*" ): myZip.write(name, os.path.basename(name), zipfile.ZIP_DEFLATED) myZip.close() Also, if I use code below: for dirpath, dirnames, filenames in os.walk(Source_Dir): myZip.write(os.path.join(dirpath, filename) os.path.basename(filename)) myZip.close() Now the 2nd code taks all files even if it inside the folder/ subfolders, creates a new .zip file and write to it without any directory strucure. It even does not take dir structure for main folder and simply write all files from main dir or subdir to that .zip file. Can anyone please help me or suggest me.     Has anybody here got any experience in creating simple tooptips using JQuery? I have created a table: <tr id="mon_Section"> <td id="day_Title">Monday</td>` <td id="mon_Row" onmousemove="calculate_Time(event)"></td> </tr>` the function "calculate_Time" will be called and this gets the X position of the mouse cursor and from the value, uses IF and ELSE-IF statements to calculate the values of other variables i have created: var mon_Pos; var hour; var minute; var orig; var myxpos; function calculate_Time(event) { myxpos = event.pageX; myxpos = myxpos-194; if (myxpos<60) { orig = myxpos; minute = myxpos; hour = 07; } else if (myxpos>=60 && myxpos<120) { orig = myxpos; minute=myxpos-60; hour=08; } } How do i go about creating a stylized tooltip containing the Hour and Minute variables that i created, I need the tooltip to be updated everytime the X position of the cursor changes. I know that with myxpos variable does change whenever the mouse is moved because i tried it out using an alert(myxpos) and as expected, if the mouse moves, a new alert box popups with a new value. I just cant work out how to place that value in a tooltip?

  • Problem creating a custom input element using FluentHtml (MVCContrib)

    Hi there, I just recently started dabbling in ASP.NET MVC 1.0 and came across the wonderful MVCContrib. I had originally gone down the path of creating some extended html helpers, but after finding FluentHTML decided to try my hand at creating a custom input element. Basically I am wanting to ultimately create several custom input elements to make it easier for some other devs on the project I'm working on to add their input fields to the page and have all of my preferred markup to render for them. So, in short, I'd like to wrap certain input elements with additional markup.. A TextBox would be wrapped in an <li /> for example. I've created my custom input elements following Tim Scott's answer in another question on here: DRY in the MVC View. So, to further elaborate, I've created my class, "TextBoxListItem": public class TextBoxListItem : TextInput<TextBox> { public TextBoxListItem (string name) : base(HtmlInputType.Text, name) { } public TextBoxListItem (string name, MemberExpression forMember, IEnumerable<IBehaviorMarker> behaviors) : base(HtmlInputType.Text, name, forMember, behaviors) { } public override string ToString() { var liBuilder = new TagBuilder(HtmlTag.ListItem); liBuilder.InnerHtml = ToString(); return liBuilder.ToString(TagRenderMode.SelfClosing); } } I've also added it to my ViewModelContainerExtensions class: public static TextBox TextBoxListItem<T>(this IViewModelContainer<T> view, Expression<Func<T, object>> expression) where T : class { return new TextBoxListItem(expression.GetNameFor(view), expression.GetMemberExpression(), view.Behaviors) .Value(expression.GetValueFrom(view.ViewModel)); } And lastly, I've added it to ViewDataContainerExtensions as well: public static TextBox TextBoxListItem(this IViewDataContainer view, string name) { return new TextBox(name).Value(view.ViewData.Eval(name)); } I'm calling it in my view like so: <%= this.TextBoxListItem("username").Label("Username:") %> Anyway, I'm not getting anything other than the standard FluentHTML TextBox, not wrapped in <li></li> elements.   • Need help/guidance about creating a desktop application with gui

    I'm planning to do an Desktop application using Python, to learn some Desktop concepts. I'm going to use GTK or Qt, I still haven't decided which one. Fact is: I would like to create an application with the possibility to be called from command line, AND using a GUI. So it would be useful for cmd fans, and GUI users as well. It would be interesting to create a web interface too in the future, so it could be run in a server somewhere using an html interface created with a template language. I'm thinking about two approaches: - Creating a "model" with a simple interface which is called from a desktop/web implementation; - Creating a "model" with an html interface, and embeb a browser component so I could reuse all the code in both desktop/web scenarios. My question is: which exactly concepts are involved in this project? What advantages/disadvantages each approach has? Are they possible? By naming "interface", I'm planning to just do some interfaces.py files with def calls. Is this a bad approach? I would like to know some book recommendations, or resources to both options - or source code from projects which share the same GUI/cmd/web goals I'm after. Thanks in advance!

    Hi there, With some kindly help from StackOverflow, I've got Unity Framework to create my chained dependencies, including an Entity Framework datacontext object: using (IUnityContainer container = new UnityContainer()) { container.RegisterType<IMeterView, Meter>(); container.RegisterType<IUnitOfWork, CommunergySQLiteEntities>(new ContainerControlledLifetimeManager()); container.RegisterType<IRepositoryFactory, SQLiteRepositoryFactory>(); container.RegisterType<IRepositoryFactory, WCFRepositoryFactory>("Uploader"); container.Configure<InjectedMembers>() .ConfigureInjectionFor<CommunergySQLiteEntities>( new InjectionConstructor(connectionString)); MeterPresenter meterPresenter = container.Resolve<MeterPresenter>(); this works really well in creating my Presenter object and displaying the related view, I'm really pleased. However, the problem I'm running into now is over the timing of the creation and disposal of the Entity Framework object (and I suspect this will go for any IDisposable object). Using Unity like this, the SQL EF object "CommunergySQLiteEntities" is created straight away, as I've added it to the constructor of the MeterPresenter public MeterPresenter(IMeterView view, IUnitOfWork unitOfWork, IRepositoryFactory cacheRepository) { this.mView = view; this.unitOfWork = unitOfWork; this.cacheRepository = cacheRepository; this.Initialize(); } I felt a bit uneasy about this at the time, as I don't want to be holding open a database connection, but I couldn't see any other way using the Unity dependency injection. Sure enough, when I actually try to use the datacontext, I get this error: ((System.Data.Objects.ObjectContext)(unitOfWork)).Connection '((System.Data.Objects.ObjectContext)(unitOfWork)).Connection' threw an exception of type 'System.ObjectDisposedException' System.Data.Common.DbConnection {System.ObjectDisposedException} My understanding of the principle of IoC is that you set up all your dependencies at the top, resolve your object and away you go. However, in this case, some of the child objects, eg the datacontext, don't need to be initialised at the time the parent Presenter object is created (as you would by passing them in the constructor), but the Presenter does need to know about what type to use for IUnitOfWork when it wants to talk to the database. Ideally, I want something like this inside my resolved Presenter: using(IUnitOfWork unitOfWork = new NewInstanceInjectedUnitOfWorkType()) { //do unitOfWork stuff } so the Presenter knows what IUnitOfWork implementation to use to create and dispose of straight away, preferably from the original RegisterType call. Do I have to put another Unity container inside my Presenter, at the risk of creating a new dependency? This is probably really obvious to a IoC guru, but I'd really appreciate a pointer in the right direction thanks Toby
