  Using Microchip C18 compiler with a pic18f, I want to create a "big" buffer of 3000 bytes in the program data space. If i put this in the main() (on stack): char tab[127]; I have this error: Error [1300] stack frame too large If I put it in global, I have this error: Error - section '.udata_main.o' can not fit the section. Section '.udata_main.o' length=0x0000007f How to create a big buffer? Do you have tutorial on how to manage big buffer on pic18f with c18?

• Why isn't my UITableView in a popover appearing in the correct scroll position?

  I have a split view-based app that presents a master-detail interface, and uses a popover to present the master list when in portrait mode. The popover presents a sectioned table view that ultimately gets populated by a subclass of NSFetchedResultsController. I can tap the tool bar button to present the master list, scroll to whatever row, and tap the row to dismiss the popover. My problem is that if the table is scrolled past the top of the second section, when I dismiss the popover and then later tap the toolbar button to re-present it, the table's scroll position is always set such that the first row of the second section is at the top of the list. If I haven't scrolled past the top of the second section, it correctly remembers its scroll position when the table is presented again. Similarly, in landscape mode, if I scroll the table past the top of the third section and then rotate to portrait, when I come back to landscape the scroll position is always set such that the first row of the third section is at the top of the list. I tried calling -scrollToNearestSelectedRowAtScrollPosition:animated in both the master view controller's -viewWillAppear, as well as in the split view delegate's splitViewController:popoverController:willPresentViewController:, to no effect. Anybody have a clue what I might be doing wrong?

• Browser history back with scrollable div

  When I Jump to section 1 & 2 everything works fine, and the browsers I tested (IE8, FF3.6, Chrome 5.0.342.3) scrolls down to the respective anchor in the div. But when I press the browser history back button the div won't scroll back up. • When is it safe to remote import entires from feature.xml?

  I've recently learned that the import section from feature.xml is legacy, and the actual dependency work is delegated to the p2 engine, which uses the information from the plugin manifest. I am not sure though if p2 is available for all recent versions of Eclipse, or in all Eclipse-based products, so I'm not sure if it is safe to remove the import section from feature.xml. Under what circumstances is it safe to remove the import section from feature.xml? Assume that we are taking into consideration Eclipse 3.4 or newer.

This may be due to absent or incorrectly specified EndpointIdentity in the EndpointAddress used to create the channel. Please verify the EndpointIdentity specified or implied by the EndpointAddress correctly identifies the remote endpoint. • MSBuild Working with ItemGroup and EXEC Command

  I created the ItemGroup shown in the code snippet. I need to iterate through this ItemGroup and run the EXEC command - also shown in the code snippet. I cannot seem to get it to work. The code returns the error shown below (note - the Message is written 2 times, which is correct), but the EXEC Command is not running correctly. The value is not being set; therefore the EXEC is not executing at all. I need the EXEC to execute twice or by however sections I define in the ItemGroup.   I'm wondering what options one has in xhtml 1.0 strict to create a line on both sides of text like-so: Section one ----------------------- Next section ----------------------- Section two I've thought of doing some fancy things like this: <div style="float:left; width: 44%;"><hr/></div> <div style="float:right; width: 44%;"><hr/></div> Next section Or alternatively, because the above has problems with alignment (both vertical and horizontal): <table><tr> <td style="width:47%"><hr/></td> <td style="vertical-align:middle; text-align: center">Next section</td> <td style="width:47%"><hr/></td> </tr></table> However both options feel 'fudgy', and I'd be much obliged if you happened to have seen this before and know of an elegant solution. • Latex: Text cannot be placed below image

  I love latex! But sometimes, it does not love me... I'm having a problem with an image and some text. I have this code: Some text...\\ \begin{figure}[ht] \centering \includegraphics[scale=0.75]{picture.jpg} \caption{The caption} \label{fig:picture} \end{figure} Some more text... Basically, I want this: Some text. (Above image in the code) [end of page / new page] image Some more text. (Below the image in the code) [start of new section] But, what the above code gives me is this: Some text. (Above image in the code) Some more text. (Below the image in the code) [end of page / new page] image [start of new section] Latex insists on putting everything but a new section above the image even though its below the image in the code. Its probably because the image floats on top - but whats my alternative? There's not enough space on the first page to display the image there, to I cannot use [h] as the float-alignment. I can "hack it", by creating an empty new section, like \section*{}, but this creates some white-space, which looks weird. Any suggestions?

• UICollectionView with one static cell and N dynamic ones from a fetchresultscontroller exception

  I'm trying to make a UITableView that shows a blog post and comments for that post. My setup is a tableview in storyboard with two dynamic prototype cells. The first cell is for the post and should never change. The second cell represents the 0 to N comments. • Fetching Core Data for Tableview on iPhone - Tutorial leaves me with crashes when adding items to a

  Been following the Core Data tutorial on Apple's developer site, and all is good until I have to add something to the fetched store. I am getting this error after a successful build and load when I try to add a new item to the list: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Invalid update: invalid number of rows in section 0. The number of rows contained in an existing section after the update (0) must be equal to the number of rows contained in that section before the update (0), plus or minus the number of rows inserted or deleted from that section (1 inserted, 0 deleted). Due to the fact that the fetch goes through fine, and that if I replace the fetching with eventList = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init] it works as expected (without persistance, of course), I am led to believe that the problem comes from not creating the Mutable Array correctly.   I was wondering if there is anyway to loop through the strings.xml file. • UITableView only pushes to one controller

  So I have my UITableView, with 2 sections and 1 cell in each, and if I click the first one, it works, then the second one, it goes to the first controller. RootViewController is a navigationController, trying to push to ViewControllers. • Why isn't my UITableView appearing in the correct scroll position?

  I have a split view-based app that presents a master-detail interface, and uses a popover to present the master list when in portrait mode. The popover presents a sectioned table view that ultimately gets populated by a subclass of NSFetchedResultsController. I can tap the tool bar button to present the master list, scroll to whatever row, and tap the row to dismiss the popover. My problem is that if the table is scrolled past the top of the second section, when I dismiss the popover and then later tap the toolbar button to re-present it, the table's scroll position is always set such that the first row of the second section is at the top of the list. If I haven't scrolled past the top of the second section, it correctly remembers its scroll position when the table is presented again. Similarly, in landscape mode, if I scroll the table past the top of the third section and then rotate to portrait, when I come back to landscape the scroll position is always set such that the first row of the third section is at the top of the list. I tried calling -scrollToNearestSelectedRowAtScrollPosition:animated in both the master view controller's -viewWillAppear, as well as in the split view delegate's splitViewController:popoverController:willPresentViewController:, to no effect. Anybody have a clue what I might be doing wrong?

  Here is the xml file: <section> <number>1</number> <title>A Title goes here...</title> <code>TheCode</code> <element></element> <element></element> </section> In section node, there are number, title and code node. Their sequence must not be fixed. Then, there are multiple element under section node as well. The idea is to use the following schema: <xs:complexType name="Type-section"> <xs:all> <xs:element name="number" minOccurs="0"></xs:element> <xs:element name="code" minOccurs="1"></xs:element> <xs:element name="title" minOccurs="1"></xs:element> </xs:all> <xs:sequence> <xs:element maxOccurs="unbounded" name="element"></xs:element> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> But it is invalid. I just cant put "sequence" and "all" together in the same level. How can i fix it?

• How to add new object to an IList mapped as a one-to-many with NHibernate?

  My model contains a class Section which has an ordered list of Statics that are part of this section. Leaving all the other properties out, the implementation of the model looks like this: public class Section { public virtual int Id { get; private set; } public virtual IList<Static> Statics { get; private set; } } public class Static { public virtual int Id { get; private set; } } In the database, the relationship is implemented as a one-to-many, where the table Static has a foreign key pointing to Section and an integer column Position to store its index position in the list it is part of. The mapping is done in Fluent NHibernate like this: public SectionMap() { Id(x => x.Id); HasMany(x => x.Statics).Cascade.All().LazyLoad() .AsList(x => x.WithColumn("Position")); } public StaticMap() { Id(x => x.Id); References(x => x.Section); } Now I am able to load existing Statics, and I am also able to update the details of those. However, I cannot seem to find a way to add new Statics to a Section, and have this change persisted to the database. I have tried several combinations of: mySection.Statics.Add(myStatic) session.Update(mySection) session.Save(myStatic) but the closest I have gotten (using the first two statements), is to an SQL exception reading: "Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'Position'". Clearly an INSERT is attempted here, but NHibernate does not seem to automatically append the index position to the SQL statement. What am I doing wrong? Am I missing something in my mappings? Do I need to expose the Position column as a property and assign a value to it myself? EDIT: Apparently everything works as expected, if I remove the NOT NULL constraint on the Static.Position column in the database. I guess NHibernate makes the insert and immediatly after updates the row with a Position value. While this is an anwers to the question, I am not sure if it is the best one. I would prefer the Position column to be not nullable, so I still hope there is some way to make NHibernate provide a value for that column directly in the INSERT statement. Thus, the question is still open. Any other solutions?

• How to properly set button phase after dragging over button?

  I have a class (mxml) that extends Button while implementing drag/drop support. When I drag one of them onto another, the drag receiver stays stuck in its 'over' phase until I click on it (As if something about DragManager.acceptDragDrop is preventing the MouseEvent from getting to button) Is there a way to make a button re-evaluate its phase after the drop? I've tried fabricating a MouseEvent and sending it to rollOverHandler with no luck. • Parsing an Open XML doc via styled blocks

  I'm working with docx docs, and I need to parse a document into sections on the basis of headings styled with the "heading 1" style. So if I had a doc like this (markup is pseudocode): <doc> <title style>Doc Title</title style> <heading1>First Section</heading1> ... <heading2>Second Section</heading2> ... <heading3>Third Section</heading3> ... </doc> I'd want to break this into a doc with four sections, the first being the content that precedes the first section. I figure that this is probably pretty simple once you're familiar with Open XML, but I am not. TIA.

• "didChangeSection:" NSfetchedResultsController delegate method not being called

  I have a standard split view controller, with a detail view and a table view. Pressing a button in the detail view can cause the an object to change its placement in the table view's ordering. This works fine, as long as the resulting ordering change doesn't result in a section being added or removed. I.e. an object can change it's ordering in a section or switch from one section to another. Those ordering changes work correctly without problems. But, if the object tries to move to a section that doesn't exist yet, or is the last object to leave a section (therefore requiring the section its leaving to be removed), then the application crashes. NSFetchedResultsControllerDelegate has methods to handle sections being added and removed that should be called in those cases. But those delegate methods aren't being called for some reason. Based on the Apple's NSFetchedResultsControllerDelegate documentation "didChangeSection" should have been called before "didChangeObject", which would have prevented the exception causing the crash. So I guess the question is how do I assure that didChangeSection gets called? Thanks in advance for any help!

• Active Record Associations:

  I'm brand new to Rails, so bear with me. I have 3 models: User, Section, and Tick. Each section is created by a user. My guess with this association: class Section < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :user end Next, each user can "tick" off a section -- only once. So for each tick, I have a section_id, user_id, and timestamps. Here's where I'm stuck. Does this call for a "has_one :through" association? If so, which direction? If not, then I'm way off. • How to systematically generate images from data?

  I work for a performing arts nonprofit. We have seating charts for each of the theaters we work with; each seating chart shows the number of sections, the shape of each section, and the number of rows in each section. We'd like to create dynamic seating charts based on this info. We'd like them to look/feel kinda like this: http://www.fansnap.com/tickets/177754-on. But the tricky part is we'd like to be able to store all the info about each theater (the section names, shape/size of each section, and number of rows in each section) as data and then build a system that reads this data and uses it to create a dynamic map. I'm a life-long web developer, but I don't have have any experience with a difficult graphics problem like this. I realize it's a complex problem and I don't expect anyone to give me a complete answer here, but I would love direction on where I should be looking for more info. Is what I'm describing possible? Does this sort of technique have a name? Where can I learn more about how to accomplish this? What software should I use? Any info would be helpful.
