  • php mail not arrives at gmail, not at local server

    The php mail function I am using does not work completely. It will sent mails to gmail easy enough. However, emails routed directly to my internally hosted exchange server are not getting through. The servers/domains are setup is as follows. URLs are registered with Network solutions (www.independentsservice.com & www.isco.net) NS directs all traffic to our ISP (Socket.net). Socket directs as follows: Mail to our local server FTP to our local server HTTP to our website hosted on Chihost.com Traffic to our local server goes through a Watchguard firewall which routes mail traffic to our locally hosted Exchange server. Is there some reason why exchange won't accept these emails? Thanks!

  • Google Drive stripped Outlook 2010 of all emails, contacts, etc

    I have a business that requires I use the business email: [email protected] I loaded Google Drive as a free cloud to share project details with co-worker. Side effect is that Outlook 2010 does not work now. All incoming emails are now transferred to my personal Google account. Now I can not send business emails inclusive of business headers and footers since Outlook is erroring on send/receive. And all my history of email organization on Outlook is gone. I was previously successfully syncing outlook through Google calendar to keep my blackberry sync'd Your help is appreciated - thank you. David

  • Postfix sends email to spam (gmail, hotmail)

    I recently installed a postfix + dovecot + dkim multi domain, multi user, multi alias mail server on my debian squeeze system. Everything works except for one big issue that basically makes the whole thing useless: Every single email sent by my server goes straight into spam. (gmail, hotmail) First thing i did is doing the well known allaboutspam test and all is checked (green) except for the BATV thing (yellow): Reverse dns: green HELO Greeting: green RBL: green BATV: yellow SPF: green DKIM: green URIBL: green SPAMAssassin: green Greylist: green I'm really confused and i can't see a way to solve this issue. Ask me any detail if you need.

  • Google and Gmail only work on one laptop and not the other two

    We have Comcast internet and everything was fine until recently. I am currently using my father-in-law's PC, and Gmail, Paypal, and Google all work fine. They don't work on my laptop or my husband's. We've reset the router/modem several times and nothing works. So we unplugged the main line outside and it fixed it for two weeks but now it's back to being stupid again. We've tried everything else and nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

    Hi, is it possible to know the time at which a contact was created. Actually I want to find all contacts created after a particular time (say 12:00 pm 29th march 2010). I thought that the contact ids were assigned in an increasing order and just noting the largest id at that point would suffice. But with Android 2.0, the internal sync may merge a contact with an existing one and hence assign an older id to it. I hope I have made my question clear

  • Name typing in the "TO" line for last name recognition

    I have outlook 2010 on a Windows 7 laptop. When I go to send an email at the "TO" line and I start typing the name, if I start to enter the last name it will not recognize anyone in my contacts and will not auto-populate a list of all the names that fit the description of what I have typed so far. But if I start typing the first name first it will start this auto-choice feature based on what I have typed so far. The company I work for has 20k + employees and If I want to email someone like "Michael Hutch " if I type "Michael" it still gives me like 800 names to chose from. My old laptop that had 2003 Outlook on it, had this functionality. Is there a way to enable this in Outlook 2010?

    I needed to let PHP send mails from my webserver to my web app users. So I installed qmail on my Debian server: sudo apt-get install qmail I also updated files in /etc/qmail specifing my domain name, and then I run sudo qmailctl reload and sudo qmailctl restart: /etc/qmail/defaultdomain # Contains 'mydomain.com' /etc/qmail/defaulthost # Contains 'mydomain.com' /etc/qmail/me # Contains 'mail.mydomain.com' /etc/qmail/rcpthosts # Contains 'mydomain.com' /etc/qmail/locals # Contains 'mydomain.com' Emails are sent without any problem from my PHP script to any email address, using the standard mail PHP library. Now the problem is that if I send mail from my PHP using [email protected] as sender address, I want that customer can reply to that address! And possibly, I want all mails sent to this address should be forwarded to my personal Gmail address. At the moment qmail seems to not accept any incoming mail because of "invalid mailbox name".     I used to use Emacs/GNUS for reading mailing lists, but that feels very 1990. Plus, it doesn't sync my scoring across PCs. GMail is wonderful, but it kind of sucks for mailing lists. The essential "mute" feature doesn't even work unless the mail is in the Inbox. I'd read my mailing lists on the Google Groups site, but not all of them are Google Groups. Basically, I'm looking for the "Google Reader" of mailing lists. Any suggestions?

    First of all I apologize for my poor understanding of network and I hope I used the correct terminology for everything: I have bought a domain name with 1&1 to create an online shop, using kingeshop. I followed the steps explains here to point the domain name to kingeshop IP address and everything is working fine. Now I would also like to use my domain name to create an email account. But 1&1 seems to say they're not responsible for this now the DNS is transfered to kingeshop's. What I'm wondering is who is really "in charge" of my domain name now? 1&1 also lets me configure the MX-record but I don't have a clue what I can do with this. Could I just use an existing gmail address somehow? Thanks a lot for any help or clarity you can bring me on that matter!

There are a number of ways to import your existing email and calendar entries into Google Apps Gmail (e.g. including the Google Apps Sync for Outlook tool), the Google Email Uploader, and copying messages using an IMAP client) so I'm covered on the import side. I'm trying to understand the use cases for the Google Apps Sync for Outlook tool http://mail.google.com/support/bin/topic.py?topic=23333 with respect to email and calendar entries. The description says it syncs your Outlook email and calendar items with Google Apps, but doesn't using Outlook as an IMAP client against Google Apps do the same?

  • Google Apps for Business on a separate infrastructure?

    Does anyone know if Google Apps for Business edition hosts the apps (gmail, calendar, etc.) on a physically separate infrastructure than the Standard (free) infrastructure? We've been growing increasingly annoyed with the lost/severely delayed email messages, downtime, etc. of Google Apps (standard) over time, and we are wondering if moving to the paid version would bring any benefits. Specifically, if the Business edition is not in some way on a different physical infrastructure, and we are in essence paying for a few small perks but still run on the usual standard/free setup, then we would probably have the same (or just as many) issues with the Business version. I've emailed Google's sales team responsible for GApps, but haven't heard anything back in 4 days, which already doesn't speak well for the service. So, anyone have any insight into this?   • Thunderbird-3 keeps on downloading already downloaded messages again?

    I am using Thunderbird for my gmail account, with IMAP settings. All my folders are synchronized. A very strange behavior, after all my mails are downloaded, TB3 starts downloading email again. At times saying "downloading x out of y messages" where x y (like now downloading 19 out of 11 messages). Had the same problem in TB3 for windows so, replaced TB with Outlook-07, issue resolved. But on linux, I dont like the evolution's interface, so i have no choice but to stick to TB. Any suggestions how to TB not eat my bandwidth.

So I'm exploring the built in apps, and I wanna setup my 3 mail accounts (1x gmail, 1x hotmail, and 1x corporate using google apps), but I want them to work the way they work on my iphone and my ipad - Using exchange... It really makes life easy to be able to receive and respond to mail instantly, not to mention the contact and calendar syncing... Any ideas? I have found the 'Exchange 2007' and 'Exchange IMAP' options when setting up the account, but things like the server address and all?

  • Blackberry keeps sending notifications of FB and emails [closed]

    Here is the problem I got with my blackberry : I have received and sent multiple mails this week-end from my home computer. As usual, I received the notifications of sent and received emails on my blackberry, and archived / deleted them. But, I still receive the notifications of new mails several times a day, for emails I already have deleted in my Gmail account. I tried rebooting the blackberry (alt+shift+del) and removing the battery, but nothing helps, the notifications are sent and re-sent, no matter what I do. Anyone has an advice on how to stop this spam, as it is becoming very annoying ?
