    I wonder how one professional developer would design the backend-part of his application. I try to use PHP as seldom as possible and only for data serving/saving purposes. To do so, i would create a module/class for every greater part of my application, then write some single script files which are called by javascript. E.g: User clicks a "retrieve data" button javascript will call retrieveData.php retrieveData.php will create an instance of the needed class, then executes myInstance-retrieve() the data is returned to my JS by retrieveData.php However, i see some disadvantages in this practice: I will need a single scipt file for every action, (e.g retrieveData.php, saveData.php etc) I need a man-in-the-middle step: from JS to my single script, to my classes How are modern applications designed to accomplish what i need to do?

WebSphere MQ is currently not working due to the following issue: WebSphere MQ service runs under local user "MUSR_MQADMIN" in the local group "mqm" I attempt to use the service using my own account, BIZ\noahz MUSR_MQADMIN needs to check if BIZ\noahz is in local group "mqm" MUSR_MQADMIN does not have permission to read the Active Directory group membership of BIZ\noahz The following error appears in the MQ log file: ----- amqzfubn.c : 3582 ------------------------------------------------------- 1/31/2011 18:51:32 - Process(704.1105) User(MUSR_MQADMIN) Program(amqzlaa0.exe) AMQ8079: Access was denied when attempting to retrieve group membership information for user 'noahz@biz'. EXPLANATION: WebSphere MQ, running with the authority of user 'musr_mqadmin@noahz-biz', was unable to retrieve group membership information for the specified user. ACTION: Ensure Active Directory access permissions allow user 'musr_mqadmin@noahz-biz' to read group memberships for user 'noahz@biz'.   • How to connect to a remote server and run some code on that particular server?

    I am implementing an automated backup scheme so I created a shell script which first creates SQL Dumps for all MySQL databases, then it retrieves all the websites from the /var/www of a remote server. The latter is working as I am using rsync to get the remote files. However, obviously, the MySQL dumps being retrieved are the ones on the local server which is not what I want. I want to get the SQL Dumps from the remote server as well. I have a tunnel between the local and remote server which I can connect without using any password (I added the public key to the authorized_hosts), so I tried to add the following code to the script: ssh [email protected] Then I tried to retrieve the SQL dumps and then I exit from the remote server. However this does not work as I still have to enter exit manually in the terminal for the SQL dumps to be retrieved from the remote host. I don't know why this is happening. Basically this is what the script is trying to do: //connect to remote server ssh [email protected] //retrieve SQL dumps //code to retrieve... //exit from remote server exit //use rsync to get remote files of /var/www from local server (working) Is there a way to connect to the remote host AND run the script's code ON THAT remote host? Most of the Jabber python libraries seem like an incredible amount of overkill (and overhead) for a simple task. Is there any simple way to do this? I know very little about XMPP/Jabber, though of course I'm willing to learn. Do you need to be an authenticated and "friended" user to retrieve another user's status?

    Hi All, I've seen a number of post about Proxy Authentication, but none that seams to address this problem. I'm building a SharePoint Web Service consuming desktop application, using Java, JAX-WS in NetBeans. I have a working prototype, that can query the server for authentication mode, successfully authenticate and retrieve a list of web site. However, if I run the same app from a network that is behind a proxy server (the proxy does not require authentication), then I'm running into trouble. The normal -dhttp.proxyHost ... settings does not seam to help any. But I have found that by creating a ProxySelector class and setting it as default, I can regain access to the authentication web service, but I still can't retrieve the list of web sites from the SharePoint server. It's almost as if the authentication I provide is going to the proxy rather than the SharePoint server. Anyone have any experience on how to make this work?     I am using EnvDTE to generate some code in my latest project. I have a reference to a CodeClass-Object for a given C#-Class but now I wanted to loop through all of its members (in codeClass.Members) and check their types. However I can't manage to retrieve the type of the given member from the CodeElement-Object that I get when looping through codeClass.Members. How can I retrieve the type (int, string etc.)? PS: Reflection is not an option for my usecase.

    Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to know if a node is the last child of another, or not. I know how to retrieve the parent's lastChild name ($node-parentNode-lastChild-nodeName), but as sometimes there's many same node names within the same parent, the name is definitly not the way to find the last child. I'm looking for some kind of iterator which can retrieve the number of childs, and depending of the position of the current node, tell if the current node is the last child. Thanks!
