• Set Default 404 error pages across entire instance of IIS

  we are currently using IIS 8 on our new windows VPS. We have a content management system we install for all our apps we build, but we are finding it incredibly painful as our hosting provider requires that we change the default 404 error page from the default settings everytime we create a site. Is there an easy way within IIS to automatically apply this same default directory within each website so we dont need to edit it on every website we build ? thanks in advance

• tmux won't run as non root user?

  If I run tmux as root, it runs normally and fully functional. I created a couple users, and it will not run as any of the users. create session failed: : No such file or directory I checked the outside $TERM is xterm and inside $TERM is screen as FAQs suggest that is most common cause of problems.   Server: CentOS 6.2 64bit How can I install Proftpd using yum? A search for the package doesn't find it: yum list proftpd Error: No matching Packages to list Although my CentOS 6 VPS does find it, but this server doesn't. I have read I need to install an rpm of some kind. How would I do that and where is the reliable place to get it (64bit)? I have done Proftpd installs by compiling the source in the past but would prefer to use yum this time.

  Hello, I'm running a small hosting VPS with CentOS and I have installed the WHM/cPanel control panel. The problem is that the email, either sent from the cPanel webmail or other client like Outlook does not get sent out with no visible error message on the client side.   In my VPS (Hypervm/CENTOS 5.8 i686 virtuozzo) I need to add IP bans with comments ( http://spamcleaner.org/en/misc/iptables-comment.html ) When I type: iptables -A INPUT -s 222.111.111.111 -j DROP -m comment --comment "spammer123" I receive: iptables: Unknown error 4294967295 I research almost 2 hours but i find nothing, someone says "its a bug and you have to rebuild kernel!?" • Host timeout during file upload/download over SFTP/SSH

  I tried different clients because i thought its client related, but all of them sooner or later disconnect or stop uploading/downloading files, and getting a timeout disconnect. After a reconnect it works again for a bit of time. Really strange cannot figure out the reason. I'm on a mac and the server is a debian VPS! If u need further informations ask please!   I have Jira installed as a service on my Ubuntu VPS on 8080. I've successfully used ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse to point http://jira.mydomain.com to http://mydomain.com:8080 However, after login, the URL in the browser is changed to http://mydomain.com:8080/Dashboard.... Is there anyway to keep the http://jira.mydomain.com even after login, and throughout the whole user experience? Thanks, Sam

  I'm running tomcat on a ubuntu 10.4 VPS with 512MB of RAM (1024 burstable). I'm using it for development, so performance isn't an issue, but memory is. Tomcat is currently using about 250MB without any apps installed (I compared memory usage with tomcat stopped and running), and I also need to run lighttpd and mysql. Is there any way to get that number down? I don't need it to be able to handle a large number of requests at once.
