Jquery mobile ajax request not working after 4-5 request is made in Android

If i keep on moving from one page to another then a ajax request is made.. This request stops responding after 4 to 5 request... Why is it happening?

Patterns to deal with with functions that can have different kinds of results.

Suppose you have an method on an object that given the some input alters the objects state if the input validates according to some complex logic. Now suppose that when the input doesn't validate, it can be due to several different things, each of which we would like to be able to deal with in different ways. I'm sure many of you are thinking: That's what exceptions are for! I've thought of this also. But my reservation against using exceptions is that in some cases there is nothing exceptional about the input not validating and I really would like to avoid using exceptions to control what is really just in the expected flow of the program. If there were only one interpretation possible, I could simply choose to return a boolean value indicating whether or not the operation resulted in a state change or not and the respond appropriately when it did not. There is of course also the option to return a status code which the client can then choose to interpret or not. I don't like this much either because there is nothing semantic about status codes. The solution I have so far is to always check for each possible situation which I am able to handle before I call the method which then returns a boolean to inform the client if the object changed state. This leaves me the flexibility to handle as few or as many as the possible situations as I wish depending on the context I am in. It also has the benefit of making the method I am calling simpler to write. The drawback is that there is quite a lot of duplication in the client code wherever I call the method. Which of these solutions do you prefer and why? What other patterns do people use for providing meaningful feedback from functions? I know that some languages support multiple return values, and I if I had that option I would surely prefer it.

I'm receiving this error on a page that previously worked fine, in fact the only change I've made to the page recently was to add another asp:TextBox and asp:RequiredFieldValidator control. The page already had numerous ASP.NET controls on it, so I cannot see why these extra controls would make a difference, anyway I shall post the code below and hopefully you can see what the error is: Background Image not showing up in IE8

So I have a tiny header image that repeats on the x axis, but for some reason it won't show up in IE8. Anyone know a work around? Debugging HTML & JavaScript with Firebug

I made a JSONP widget. However, when one of the partner sites put it in their page, (1) it doesn't render at all in IE and (2) in other browsers (Firefox & Google Chrome), the HTML of the widget renders incorrectly: the <aside> closes prematurely, before the Financial Aid Glossary. It's something specific to that page because it works fine on this example college resource center page. To fix these two issues, I tried saving the page source to a local file and messing around with the local file and with Firebug, deleting DOM elements and stuff. I even tried fixing the errors that The W3C Markup Validation Service found. But, I still couldn't get it to render correctly. How should I tell them to change their page so that the widget renders correctly? Or, how should I update the widget script I wrote? Sharepoint 2010 - One or more services have started or stopped unexpectedly

Does anyone know why I keep getting the following message in Sharepoint 2010 review problems and solutions list: The following services are managed by SharePoint, but their running state does not match what SharePoint expects: SPAdminV4. This can happen if a service crashes or if an administrator starts or stops a service using a non-SharePoint interface. If SharePoint-managed services do not match their expected running state, SharePoint will be unable to correctly distribute work to the service. Failing Services: SPTimerService (SPTimerV4) I assume this is referring to Sharepoint 2010 Timer Service but I can only see this in the services msc (and it is running), not in the Application Management > Manage services on server. Does anyone know why this keeps occurring and how I can stop it? Note - I looked in the event log and all I can see is that same error.

Getting client denied when accessing a wsgi graphite script

I'm trying to set up graphite on my Mac OS X 10.7 lion, i've set up apache to call the python graphite script via WSGI, but when i try to access it, i get a forbiden from apache and in the error log. "client denied by server configuration: /opt/graphite/webapp/graphite.wsgi" I've checked that the scripts location is allowed in httpd.conf, and the permissions of the file, but they seem correct. What do i have to do to get access. Windows 2008, IIS7 and virtual directories

I created a virtual directory called test (C:\test) under the Default Web Site and added two simple test files (one html and one aspx). I thought I had to add the IUSR and NetworkService (for application pools) to C:\test and grant the users appropriate rights in order for IIS7 to serve the content. It appears that is not the case at all as I can view any files in the virtual directory (even if I convert it to an application) without changing or adding any security settings on the C:\test folder. I just installed IIS7 with ASP.NET on Windows 2008 without changing any settings besides adding the virtual directory. Am I missing something? Even my book on IIS7 states that the user accounts should be added an appropriate rights should be added. I added the following to answer the comments: I am referencing the file using a public IP http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/test/one.html and the IP nor localhost is in my trusted sites. I am not signed in on the server at all as I am accessing the content from my home machine and the content is on my production server. The following users/groups have access to c:\test on the server (Creator Owner, System, Administrators, Users) and the app pool is running under the default NetworkService account. I basically installed win2008, added the IIS role with asp.net. I then opened IIS7, added a virtual directory and copied two files to the directory to test. It works which is great but I want to understand why it works. How is it that IIS7 can access files in the C:\test folder without any permissions set.

GRE keepalive with Linux and RouterOS

Then router mark gre connection as unreachable, so I cant send to Linux host from router subnet. If linux sends something into tunnel (ping, etc.) - RouterOS mark connection as reacheble. Second and next packages routed nicely until one minute idle (no traffic). How to debug Ubuntu/Cisco VPN issues

I'm trying to connect an Ubuntu laptop (9.10) with some kind of Cisco VPN device; I don't know what's on the other end, and I'm not likely to find out exactly what. I know my company allows VPN from Linux clients because they provide one that I cannot get to install (it fails to compile). I've had the most luck with the network-manager-vpnc package, however I can't figure out what's failing. When I try to connect, I get this message from libnotify: The VPN connection 'XXX' failed. which is not very helpful. Virtual Disk Degraded

There is a physical DC with a Raid 1 Mirror, 2 Physical Disks, 500GB each. Dell Server Administrator is installed on the DC, and is reporting both physical disks are fine, online, in a good state etc. On a PERC S300 Raid Controller: Physical Disk 0:0 Physical Disk 0:1 However at the same time it's reporting that a virtual disk is degraded, what exactly does this mean? The virtual disk indicates it's State is in a Raid 1 Layout. Device Name: Windows Disk 0 If my understanding is correct then the Virtual Disk, when you drill down into Dell OpenManage should have both physical disks as members, as it is a mirror? Is this correct? However, when I drill down into the Virtual Disk, it only displays Physical Disk 0:0 included in Virtual Disk 1. I'm very new to server side/raid management etc. just while our server techy is away! Thanks!

Email with extra '.com' behind sender email address

Currently I had a situation where I sent an email to [email protected], but when I receive mail from [email protected], it showed as [email protected], with extra '.com' behind the email address, this just happen within this week. Before this, I didn't change any setting, currently I am using Outlook 2010. When I checked the email in webmail, it also showed it as [email protected]. It seem that it has nothing to do with Outlook. However, I also tried on Thunderbird 16.0.1, but still the problem is the same. Has anyone experienced this before? Is the problem caused by the sender or receiver? Can't connect to website after altering IPTables

I attempted to open up a port on my VPS, but I can't connect to my website after opening up that port. Below are the commands I issued to open the port. I have one local Apache instance running with mod_cache (+ disk & mem) enabled, and it seems to cache content from my appserver fine. My app server sets Expiration headers and Last-modified. Yet, when deploying on a production server with the same modules enabled, I am getting the following error in my logs: blablabla not cached. Reason: Query string present but no explicit expiration time Any clues on why Apache is not caching content? The only difference is the Apache version. Locally I am running 2.2. Linux software raid fails to include one device for one RAID1 array

One of my four Linux software raid arrays drops one of its two devices when I reboot my system. The other three arrays work fine. I am running RAID1 on kernel version 2.6.32-5-amd64. Every time I reboot, /dev/md2 comes up with only one device. I can manually add the device by saying $ sudo mdadm /dev/md2 --add /dev/sdc1. hyper-v fails when attaching more disk to VM. The VM won't start and generates an error

I'm lost at what to do about this: Hi... System: Windows 2008 R2 Hyper-V farm running with failover cluster with a EVA 4400 as backend. When I attach a new disk to a VM it fails when I try to start it. If I move the VM to another, say node 1, I can add the disk and I can get them to start. If I move the VM back to node 2 where the problem arose and the VM is running, I get an error during live migration and the VM fails back to node1 where it did run... So it's like there is something wrong with Hyper-V on node 2 and not node 1. Also node 3 has the same issue. Restarting the nodes is NOT an option since I will have this problem again at a later time AND because not all the VMs can run on node 1 which means my client company will experience downtime on the VMs not running on node 1. Jobs stuck in Print Queue on print server

Hello, I have a Server 2003 machine acting as a print server for about 20 printers. There is 1 printer which we are having issues with and it has 104 documents in its queue. I have attempted the "Cancel All Documents" and tried to manually cancel individual documents without success. The print jobs state "Deleting - Sent to printer" under their status. It has been in this state for about 2 hours. I do not believe restarting the spool is an option without effecting the other printers and we have Hold printer for a specific non windows printing friendly application, in which I can not loose the jobs for. Any ideas on a fix? Thanks, Carl

Upon reboot, Linux software raid fails to include one device of a RAID1 array

One of my four Linux software raid arrays drops one of its two devices when I reboot my system. The other three arrays work fine. I am running RAID1 on kernel version 2.6.32-5-amd64 (Debian Squeeze). Every time I reboot, /dev/md2 comes up with only one device. I can manually add the device by saying $ sudo mdadm /dev/md2 --add /dev/sdc1. PHP pages working slow from time to time

I have VPS with limit of 2GB of ram and 8 CPU cores. I have 5 sites on that VPS (one of them is just for testing, no visitors exept me). All 5 sites are image galleries, like wallpaper sites. Last week I noticed problem on one site (main domain, used for name servers, and also with most traffic, visitors). That site has two image galleries, one is old static html gallery made few years ago and another, main, is powered by ZENPhoto CMS. Also I have that same gallery CMS on another two sites on that same VPS (on one running site and on one just for testing site). On other two sites I have diferent PHP driven gallery. Problem is that after some time (it vary from 10 minutes to few hours after apache restart), loading of pages on main site becomes very slow, or I get 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable error. So pages becomes unavailable. But just that part with new CMS gallery, old part of site with static html pages are working fast and just fine. Also other two sites with same CMS gallery and other two with different PHP driven gallery are working fine and fast at the same time. I thought it must be something with CMS on that main site, because other sites are working nice. Then I tryed to open contact and guest book pages on that main site which are outside of that CMS but also PHP pages, and they do not load too, but that same contact php scipts are working on other sites at the same time. So, when site starts to hangs, ONLY PHP generated content is not working, like I said other static pages are working. And, ONLY on that one main site I have problems. Then I need to restart Apache, after restart everything is vorking nice and fast, for some time, than again, just PHP pages on main site are becomming slower. If I do not restart apache that slowness take some time (several minutes, hours, depending ot traffic) and during that time PHP diven content is loading very slow or unavailable on that site. After sime time, on moments everything start to work and is fast again for some time, and again. In hours with more traffic PHP content is loading slowly or it is unavailable, in hours with less traffic it is sometimes fast and sometimes little bit slower than usually. And ones again, only on that main site, and only PHP driven pages, static pages are working fast even in most traffic hours also other sites with even same CMS are working fast. Currently I have about 7000 unique visitors on that site but site worked nice even with 11500 visitors per day. And about 17000 in total visitors on VPS, all sites ( about 3 pages per unique visitor). NLB NIC w/ Static IP permanently "Acquiring Network Address" after adding more IP's to the cluster

We have a 2 node NLB cluster. I recently added more IP's to the cluster range, after which point, the NLB NIC's on both of my nodes ended up in a permanent "acquiring network address" state. The cluster appears to be functioning despite this hang in acquiring an address. We've also rebooted the machines, and these NIC's remain in this state "acquiring network address" even after reboot, which I find troubling. Questions: Does anyone know where I can find documentation on how NLB binds to a NIC? (are there dll's involved, drivers, etc.) Does anyone know of any programs that have known incompatability issues with NLB? We have an application server installed on these NLB nodes (AOL Server) that interacts with the NIC's as well, and I suspect that it might be causing this issue. Before I go directly to Microsoft, I want to gather as much information as possible about the issue. Any help / guidance would be much appreciated...

Yahoo flagging mail as spam when using relay server

I'm using Postfix to relay mail from my site to my mail server. Mail is received properly at my Gmail and Hotmail accounts - only Yahoo is the problem. The Yahoo mail headers state: Received-SPF: none (mta1133.mail.mud.yahoo.com: domain of [email protected] does not designate permitted sender hosts) In contrast, the Gmail headers state: Received-SPF: pass (google.com: domain of [email protected] designates 74.50.xxx.xxx as permitted sender) client-ip=74.50.xxx.xxx; Reverse DNS is set up correctly, as is my SPF record and domainkeys/dkim (both domainkeys and dkim show pass(ok) in the Yahoo mail headers). Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to solve the Yahoo problem (short of contacting Yahoo, as this is a brand new mail server)? Thanks
