• resizing row's height in QTreeWidget/QTreeView

  Hi everyone, I have some problems with sizing row's height in QTreeWidget. I use QStyledItemDelegate with QPlainTextEdit. During editing text in QPlainTextEdit i check for changes with a help of: rect = self.blockBoundingRect(self.firstVisibleBlock()) and if text's height changes i resize editor size and need row in QTreeWidget also resizing. But i don't know how to inform TreeWidget or a Delegate about changes. I tried to initialize editor with index, that i could use in a future, but Delegate creates new editor every time and i failed to use signals. Also I used following function to catch resize event, but it' doesn't: bool QAbstractItemDelegate::editorEvent ( QEvent * event, QAbstractItemModel * model, const QStyleOptionViewItem & option, const QModelIndex & index ) How can i bound editor's size changes with TreeWidget? And one more thing, by default all items (cells) in TreeWidget have -1 or some big value as default width. I need whole text in cell to be visible, so how can i limit cells width only by visible range and make it expand in height? I want for it the same behavior as in instance a table in MSWord. • Problem Using POI To Set CellStyleProperty With HSSFCellUtil

  I have a Java class which uses Apache POI to generate reports in Excel. When I run the Java class from my IDE or command prompt, I only see warning messages from LOG4J as below: log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (org.apache.commons.beanutils.converters.BooleanConverter). log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. log4j:WARN See http://logging.apache.org/log4j/1.2/faq.html#noconfig for more info. Despite the warning messages, the report was generated successfully. But when I run it from my web app, which uses JSP and submits the form to a Servlet which calls the Java class, the Java class seems to have problems setting the style properties to the cell. Below are the Java code and also the stack trace. I'm testing this on a Standalone OC4J and the IDE which I'm using is Oracle's JDeveloper. And the Java JDK is 1.4.2. I've been looking high and low the whole day yesterday but can't seem to find out why. • Sharepoint Lists.GetListItems Method rowLimit problem

  In SharePoint I am using the default view of a list. When I use GetListItems method I can pass into it the following: public XmlNode GetListItems ( string listName, string viewName, XmlNode query, XmlNode viewFields, string rowLimit, XmlNode queryOptions, string webID ) I am passing in "" for the viewName and am passing a rowLimit of 1000. By Default view only returns 100 items. 100 Items are still being returned not 1000. Can you use the rowLimit when not specifying a view? Is it possible to bring back 1000 items using the query instead? I do not really want to use a GUID for the viewName as I would have to look it up for each list and perform a big refactor. Update I am now using the guid of the view and my list still returns the incorrect number of items. I know the guid is being used as I sued an incorrect one and it errord out. Any ideas what could be wrong? • Flash Player 10.1 crash on shared object access

  Hi all, since updating my Flash Player plugin from 10 to 10.1, I'm seeing a weird crash when accessing shared objects. Flex Builder's debugger pops up and prints a stack trace like this: undefined at flash.net::SharedObject$/getLocal() at my.code::MyClass$/load()[/my/path/to/my/MyClass.as:27] (...) This happens when calling SharedObject.getLocal("someString") for the second time for the same string, though it doesn't always crash. When using another browser on the same machine (not configured as the preferred debugging browser in Flex Builder), Flash Player remains silent. The code is wrapped in a try/catch(Error) block which does not catch this error. I'm using Flex SDK 3.5 and Flex Builder 3 on Mac OS X 10.6.3. Has anyone else seen this? Thanks, Simon

  Most WPF styles I have seen are split up into one very long Theme.xaml file. I have a default button style which is BasedOn the default Aero style for a button: <Style x:Key="{x:Type Button}" TargetType="{x:Type Button}" BasedOn="{StaticResource {x:Type Button}}"> <Setter Property="FontSize" Value="14"/> ... </Style> If I place all of this in one file it works but as soon as I split it up I get StackOverflow exceptions because it thinks it is BasedOn itself. Is there a way around this? How does WPF add resources when merging resource dictionaries?

• How to keep asm output from Linux kernel module build

  I'm working on a Linux kernel module for a 2.6.x kernel and I need to view the assembly output, though it's currently being done as a temporary file an deleted afterwords. I'd like to have the assembly output mixed with my C source file so I can easily trace where my problem lies. This is for an ARMv6 core and apparently objdump doesn't support this architecture. I've included my makefile below. • ASP.NET MVC 3: RouteExistingFiles = true seems to have no effect

  I'm trying to understand how RouteExistingFiles works. So I've created a new MVC 3 internet project (MVC 4 behaves the same way) and put a HTMLPage.html file to the Content folder of my project. Now I went to the Global.Asax file and edited the RegisterRoutes function so it looks like this: public static void RegisterRoutes(RouteCollection routes) { routes.RouteExistingFiles = true; //Look for routes before looking if a static file exists routes.MapRoute( "Default", // Route name "{controller}/{action}/{id}", // URL with parameters new {controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional} // Parameter defaults ); } Now it should give me an error when I'm requesting a localhost:XXXX/Content/HTMLPage.html since there's no "Content" controller and the request definitely hits the default pattern. But instead I'm seeing my HTMLPage. What am I doing wrong here? Update: I think I'll have to give up. Even if I'm adding a route like this one: routes.MapRoute("", "Content/{*anything}", new {controller = "Home", action = "Index"}); it still shows me the content of the HTMLPage. When I request a url like ~/Content/HTMLPage I'm getting the Index page as expected, but when I add a file extenstion like .html or .txt the content is shown (or a 404 error if the file does not exist). If anyone can check this in VS2012 please let me know what result you're getting. Thank you.

• WPF Ignoring ProgressBar Style

  Following a problem in WPF 4 where the default ProgressBar template has an off-white highlight applied causing it to dull the foreground colour, I decided to extract the template and manually edit the values to white. After doing this, I put the template as a style in App.xaml for global use and the Visual Studio designer began to use it right away. However, when I run my app, the default style is still being applied: I then tried setting the style specifically using a key, then even having it as an inline style and finally as a inline template without a wrapping style for the specific progress bar and it is still ignored. What's going wrong? • JQuery tools.scrollable conflict with navbar Ajax in CakePHP

  In our views/layout/default.ctp file we have an element that's used to implement a cascading combo select box which uses JQuery ajax to update the fields. This selector is part of our navbar and is loaded on every page of the site. Configure::version(); ?></title> <?php echo $html->css('style'); echo $javascript->link('jquery', true); echo $javascript->link('jquery.form', true); echo $javascript->link('jquery.url', true); echo $javascript->link('navbar', true); echo $html->script('tools.expose-1.0.3.js', array('inline' => false)); //echo $scripts_for_layout; ?> On the views/cars/index.ctp page we have: echo $javascript->link('tools.tabs-1.0.1', true); echo $javascript->link('tools.overlay-1.0.4', true); echo $javascript->link('jquery.form', true); echo $javascript->link('tools.scrollable-1.0.5', true); The issue is that on every other page the navbar combo box selector works. However, on the cars/index.ctp it doesn't work. It only works when we comment out the 'tools.scrollable' include. Any ideas why there is this conflict? I do have another application resource but it doesn't seam to have a problem (the other one is a Doctrine 2 resource). I'm not sure why it is specific to this class, my entire library is autoloaded so their isn't any include/require calls anywhere. I guess it should be noted that HelperBroker is the first file in the filesystem stemming out from library/Cob I am on Snow Leopard with the latest/recent versions of all software (Zend Server, Zend Framework, Doctrine 2 Beta1, Phing, PHPUnit, PEAR).

• Update iPhone UIProgressView during NSURLConnection download.

  I am using this code: NSURLConnection *oConnection=[[NSURLConnection alloc] initWithRequest:oRequest delegate:self]; to download a file, and I want to update a progress bar on a subview that I load. For that, I use this code: - (void)connection:(NSURLConnection *)connection didReceiveData:(NSData *)data { [oReceivedData appendData:data]; float n = oReceivedData.length; float d = self.iTotalSize; NSNumber *oNum = [NSNumber numberWithFloat:n/d]; self.oDPVC.oProgress.progress = [oNum floatValue]; } The subview is oDPVC, and the progress bar on it is oProgress. Setting the progress property does not update the control. From what I have read on the Web, lots of people want to do this and yet there is not a complete, reliable sample. Also, there is much contradictory advice. Some people think that you don't need a separate thread. Some say you need a background thread for the progress update. Some say no, do other things in the background and update the progress on the main thread. I've tried all the advice, and none of it works for me. One more thing, maybe this is a clue. I use this code to load the subview during applicationDidFinishLaunching: self.oDPVC = [[DownloadProgressViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"DownloadProgressViewController" bundle:nil]; [window addSubview:self.oDPVC.view]; In the XIB file (which I have examined in both Interface Builder and in a text editor) the progress bar is 280 pixels wide. But when the view opens, it has somehow been adjusted to maybe half that width. Also, the background image of the view is default.png. Instead of appearing right on top of the default image, it is shoved up about 10 pixels, leaving a white bar across the bottom of the screen. Maybe that's a separate issue, maybe not.
