  Hello, I'm looking for a decent WPF data grid or solution involving one to represent financial data. I've looked at many - the WPF one, XCeed, Ingragistics, DevExpress, etc.... but none of them seem to offer the simple requirement I have: I want to be able to display group subtotals in their columns in the group row, e.g. GROUP 1 xxxx.xx GROUP 2 xxxx.xx ROW 1 xx.xx ROW 2 xx.xx Does anyone know of a grid that does this, or a nice supporting collection that implements aggregate functions (group totals would need to be used in individual line items) so that existing grids with a bit of XAML styling would work? • Need help with auto-scaffolding template in ASP.NET MVC

  I'm trying to write an auto-scaffolder for Index views. I'd like to be able to pass in a collection of models or view-models (e.g., IQueryable<MyViewModel>) and get back an HTML table that uses the DisplayName attribute for the headings (th elements) and Html.Display(propertyName) for the cells (td elements). Each row should correspond to one item in the collection. The <td> elements are not working because the Html in <%= Html.Display(property.DisplayName) %> contains the model for the view, which is a collection of items, not the item itself. Somehow, I need to obtain an HtmlHelper object whose Model property is the current item, but I'm not sure how to do that. How do I solve these two problems?

  Hi I've been trying to create a GUI using netbeans, that includes a dialog similar to Netbean's own "property dialog" that appears when designing. ie. a dialog that contains a table that can be expanded by tree nodes. Something like the dialog on this page, http://platform.netbeans.org/tutorials/nbm-property-editors.html As far as I can understand, the page I linked to describes a custom editor I can set up for use within netbeans while designing - I'm just looking for a way to doing something similar for my actual application I'm writing. Is there an easy way to do this?   I have an admin page where a user will select a document path and add that path to a certain column of a database. I am using a fileupload on the page where they can find the document and copy the path and then paste it into the details view. • Why Won't My ASP.NET Hyperlink Work in IE?

  I'm making a very simple ad button system using ASP.NET 2.0 The advertisment is a 150x150px square that is displayed on "the r house." (Scroll down a little and you'll see the bright green "Angry Octopus" on the right side of the screen.) Now, I am not the administrator of "the r house." Instead, I am the administrator of angryoctopus.net Therefore, I don't have the ability to change the ad display code on a whim. So I gave "the r house" this snippet of code to display our ad nicely, while still allowing me to customize the back-end code on my end: <iframe src="http://www.angryoctopus.net/Content/Ad/150x150.aspx" frameborder="0" width="150" height="150" scrolling="no" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;"></iframe> You'll find this snippet in the page source to "the r house." On my side, the code looks like this: <asp:HyperLink runat="server" NavigateUrl="http://www.angryoctopus.net/" Target="_top"> <asp:Panel ID="pnlMain" runat="server" BackColor="#D1E231" style="padding: 0; margin: 0" Width="150" Height="150"> <asp:Image runat="server" ImageUrl="http://www.angryoctopus.net/Content/Ad/150x150.png" BorderStyle="None" style="padding: 0; margin: 0" /> </asp:Panel> </asp:HyperLink> ... and there's some insignificant back-end C# code for hit-counting. This looks all well and good from the code standpoint, as far as I can tell. Everything works in Firefox and Chrome. Also, everything appears to work in IE8 in all of my tests. I haven't tested IE7. But when you view "the r house" in IE(8) the hyperlink doesn't do anything, and the cursor doesn't indicate that the hyperlink is even there. Although you can see the target URL in the status bar. I've considered the fact that "the r house" uses XHTML 1.0 Strict could be causing problems, but that would probably effect Firefox and Chrome right? (My aspx pages use XHTML 1.0 Transitional) My only other theory is that some random CSS class could be applying a weird attribute to my iframe, but again I would expect that would effect Firefox and Chrome. Is this a security issue with IE? Does anyone know what part of the r house's website could be blocking the hyperlink in IE? And how can I get around this without having to hard code anything on the r house's website? Is there an alternative to iframe that would do the same job without requiring complicated scripting?

Is there any way that i can apply the stylesheets only to a parent widget not to it's children??? Experts help please..

I want to pack them on one side of the platform so they spread in the lengthwise (X) dimension but keep the widthwise (Y) dimension to a minimal. That is to place them like a tetris game.   I'm making a set of screens similar to a wizard and I'd like to know how to make a view dismiss itself and its parent view and immediately show a 'DoneScreen' without worrying about resource leaks. My views look like the following: Base -> Level1 -> DoneScreen -> Level2 -> DoneScreen The Level1 controller is a navigation controller created with a view.xib and shown with [self presentModalViewController ...] by the Base controller. The Level1 controller is also responsible for creating the 'DoneScreen' which may be shown instead of the Level2 Screen based on a certain criteria. When the user taps a button on the screen, the Level1 controller instantiates the the Level2 controller and it displays it via [self.navigationController pushViewController ..] and Level2 controller's view has a 'Next' button. When the use hits the 'Next' button in the Level2 screen, I need to dismiss the current Level2's view as well as the Level1's view and display the 'DoneScreen', which would have been created and passed in to the Level2 controller from Level1. (partly to reduce code duplication, and partly to separate responsibilities among the controllers) In the Level2 controller, if I show the 'DoneScreen' first and dismiss itself with [self.navigationController popViewControllerAnimated:YES]; then the Level1 controller's modal view is still present above the 'Base' but under the Done screen. What's a good way to clear out all of these views except the Base and then show the 'DoneScreen'? Any good suggestions on how to get this done in a simple but elegant manner?

  The idea is have a jQuery snippet (I like Jquery...I can understand it better then regular javascript) that will detect that when it has been run on a profile with a url such as "http://customize.forum-motion.com/profile.forum?mode=viewprofile&u=1" (just as an example)...then upon detecting that it is a url of a profile...fetch data from a specific (and most likely hidden) element before wrapping that data in css tags and appending it to the heady of the current document. In short I'm trying to figure out how to make a sort of profile customization system where users can create their own css. The biggest problem I am having so far is figuring out how to make it so that the snippet can figure out what URL its being run on. Is there a function that can do this in jQuery at all?

  In the hope of tempting Googlebot with fresh content, I've implemented a homepage news ticker which displays the 20 most recent headlines on our site. The implementation I have chosen is a <ul> with each headline being a <li> Initially all the <li> elements have no style but Javascript kicks in on page load and gives all but one of them a display="style:none" attribute. Javascript then displays each of the other 19 headlines in a loop. So far so good. However, in order to prevent a visually unplesant page load where the 20 items display and then immediately collapse, I am using overflow:hidden on the <ul> element. Anyone got a view on what Googlebot is likely to make of this? Does the fact that I'm using overflow:hidden make the content look like spam?

What I would like to get is actually a lot simpler: <div id="topmenu"> <ul class="one"> <li>some main entry <ul> <li> some sub entry ... or maybe: <div id="topmenu"> <h2>some main entry</h2> <h3><a href="#">some sub entry</a></h3> <h3><a href="#">another sub entry</a></h3> <h2>another main entry</h2> So, keeping the structure, but being able to use simpler, even completely different tags, if and when needed. I think I understand from the drupal docs, that I am (maybe) looking at <div class="block block-menu_block" id="block-menu_block-1" ==> module := menu_block delta := 1 (?) regrettably, none of the suggested * block-[module]-[delta].tpl.php * block-[module].tpl.php * block-[region].tpl.php placed next to page.tpl.php has any impact (yes, I did clear the cache).
