    I strongly believe that - my question isn't related to programing, so that I asked my question here ( super user ). Here, I am not asking what links should I follow to learn OpenGL. I am asking that - What software are needed for learning Open Gl? Let me explain more briefly, I want to learn openGL for iPhone game development. Tools for creating 3D objects which are preferable tools are targeted for osx would be preferable. In short I would like to know, The list of application which are used by iPhone professional game developers on osx. Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge.   • 403 forbidden while submitting a POST request with image data via iPhone application

    I am creating an iOS application which allows users to send image/text data to my webserver via a POST request. I am successfully sending POSTS to the server when image data is not included in the request. Any time i POST with image data the server spits back a 403 forbidden. I have tried adding the following to the .htaccess file in the directory of the script with no luck: Options +Indexes FollowSymLinks +ExecCGI Order allow,deny Allow from all web browsers and Android devices can successfully POST with image data to the script, the only device which cannot is the iPhone. POSTING with data to other hosting providers works as expected - it is just this host(ipowerweb.com). i noticed that when i try to POST to ANY script on the server with data returns a 403 forbidden. another note: i can successfully post to another server that is hosted by ipowerweb, but mine cant seem to handle it. My host has tried to resolve the issue but cannot, and they have marked it on their end as "resolved", so no more help from them. I wish to keep this host as moving would be a pain - i will change hosts as a last resort, so please help me! Why am i getting this 403 forbidden error only when i submit data via my iPhone application?     I set up a Microsoft Exchange account on my iOS device to sync my Gmail contacts. But Microsoft Exchange is ignoring phone numbers that are labeled as 'iPhone' or 'main'. For example, John Smith: On Mac and Gmail: John Smith main: 123-334-1212 home: 123-330-1002 work: 123-330-8211 iPhone: 123-778-5556 On iOS device (via Exchange sync): John Smith home: 123-330-1002 work: 123-330-8211 I'd like to sync my contacts from my Mac to iCloud and Gmail, but you can't do both: Is there a solution to sync iOS and Gmail contacts without using Exchange?   • Exchange ActiveSync does not work for one user

    One particular user in our system is unable to connect to Exchange ActiveSync via her iPhone. When I try to connect using my own credentials on her iPhone it works (everything begins syncing), but when I input her credentials, the Settings app verifies the credentials are correct but nothing syncs. For example, if I open Mail, no items are shown. When I attempt to force a sync, it says "Cannot connect to server." In Exchange 2010 Management Console the user is no different than the others. Exchange ActiveSync is set as "Enable" in Mailbox Features. EDIT: Alternatively, if there is some easy way to create a new useraccount/mailbox and copy all of the contents of the old one over, I bet it would work, and that would be fine as well. She is a Mac user so we do not have to worry about her Active Directory account.

  • iTunes Sync erasing Exchange calendar / contacts

    We have had a handful of instances where corporate iPhone users will be syncing Calendar/Contacts/etc in their iTunes settings, and we would like to prevent this. Unfortunately, when they sync their empty home Outlook calendars it then overwrites everything in their iPhone calendar. This has the unpleasant side effect up "updating" Exchange and wiping out every meeting they have. Luckily, our backups have bailed us out in each case - there seems to be no recovering from it any other way as the data is gone. We prefer to allow our users to continue loading media on their phones, which we believe requires iTunes. Is there a way, through Exchange ActiveSync or iOS mobile management, to prevent this from happening?

    iTunes <- iPhone. At sync time, a back-up is performed. Which data is included, which data is not? i.e. are songs (potentially redundant) backed-up so that a computer ends up having both the source file on the filesystem and the copy within the device back-up? Is anything on the iPhone filesystem not backed up? (i.e. on a Mac using Time Machine, some files are excluded from the back-up even if not all of them can be recreated upon restore - I lost my postfix config this way..)

  • Is it possible to push DNS search suffices from DNS server to client?

    Our (active directory, windows-server-based) intranet used to be called "intranet", and DNS worked fine for windows machines and iPads/Android devices. We have changed it to be "apps.intranet", and it still works for windows machines, but no longer for iPads/Android devices. I think this is because out windows clients are configured to append .company.com when searching DNS, to make it a fully qualified lookup (this search suffix list is pushed to the PCs via AD group policies). I must admit, though, I don't know why it worked with just "intranet"! Does anyone know if it's possible to get DNS to "tell" the iPads/Android devices to append .company.com ... or how we can make it work some other way (but still using the multi-label, non-qualified DNS names) ?   • Authenticating SSL in Paros Proxy

    I need to inspect some traffic from my iPhone to debug an application, which is going and coming from an https address. Since I don't have a Mac at the moment, I tried with Paros proxy, which I had used before. It's working fine with http connections, but whenever I try to open a website with SSL encryption in Mobile Safari it says that the certificate is not trusted. I can "Continue" and it would work, but not on Applications. How can I set up a trusted certificate with Paros and the iPhone?     Original question is here original question I can not answer to that question because the system requires me to have 10 credits, very nice.... This error is based mostly on mobile devices, mostly on iPhones and mostly on mobile networks. This is how much I have narrowed it to. I believe: Hotmail checks where your are connecting from If it is a mobile network it requires additional security for sending messages but the default iPhone config does not have this option for hotmail if the user creates the hotmail account on the iPhone with SMTP AUTH enabled manually it might solve the situation Cheers, Tony

  • Control Windows 8 with a tablet

    It seems much of Windows 8 is based on the idea that it will be running on tablets, and touch screen PCs. I like this, but I don't have a W89 tablet, or a touch PC yet. I'm running W8 on a laptop, and am wondering if there's any way of using my iPad2 as a touch interface with metro? Or another options that'd be nice is if there's a input device similar to Apple's "Magic Trackpad" that would allow me to use hand gestures instead of a mouse cursor when in metro apps. I've seen some cool videos of MS Smart Glass and it would seem that the capabilities are there. But it may just be too early on to do this? I'm not sure.

  • UISplitViewController. Can we hide/show the master view?

    I would like to use a UISplitViewController in a slightly different way then is common. Because my iPad app is fullscreen app I would like the ability to hide/show the master view when in landscape mode. Portrait view is not an issue since the master view transforms into a popover which can be hidden via the toolbar button. Is there a method on UISplitViewController that will nicely hide the master view and expand the detail view? Any insight would be most appreciated. Cheers. Thanks, Doug

    Hi all, i'm developing an application for iPad. I have a mapview with several annotations. I need to show a pop-over when the accessory callout method is called, so that the arrow of the popover will point towards the annotation. I am trying to use 'initWithRect' method of the popover, but i'm not getting the co-ordinates(the CGRect in view) of the annotation correctly. How can i get the co-ordinates of an annotation? I need to find out the location of that annotation in the view.

  • TableView as DetailView's subview with a UISplitViewController?

    I have a UISplitViewController, I used the iPad template to start. To change the type of view in the detailview area, I'm adding my view types as subviews to the DetailViewController's view. This works for UIViewController derived views, but not for UITableViewController view types?. Why would this be? My problem is rooted in the fact that the manufactured DetailView is the UISplitViewController's delegate. To get the correct popover behaviour, I'd like to keep it add buttons to its toolbar and then based on user selection open different details when master list selections are made. Thanks,
