    I'm new to MVC and ADO.net Entity Framework. Instead of having to create an edit/display for each entity, I'd like to have the controller base class generate the view and validation code based off metadata stored in a table - something along those lines. I would imagine something like this has already been done, or there are good reasons for not doing it. Any insight or suggestions are appreciated.

I tried to upload the war file generated but the application is not coming up on beanstalk. I would like to know if there is any existing documentation to deploy on beanstalk from maven. I have Spring Data JPA,Spring MVC application,do i need to do specific configuration or move configuration files from within the WAR file.

  • best option to create simple website mockup with navigation

    I'm trying to put together a static html website with full navigation. In other words, I want the user to click some links and images and actually be taken to another page. I'm a developer so I know how to do this in frameworks like ASP.Net MVC and grails.     I use Spring Security with Spring Framework 3 and when I tyr to login from homepage I get following error: 2010-04-26 12:16:39,525 [tomcat-http--2] WARN org.springframework.web.servlet.PageNotFound - No mapping found for HTTP request with URI [/AppName/app/j_spring_security_check] in DispatcherServlet with name 'Spring MVC Dispatcher Servlet' Spring Security is initialized as loggings tell and there are no errors. So what could be reason for this error? I have understood that j_spring_security_check is default url for Spring Security login chekeing servlet.

    I am building a website. I have created the database in MySQL. I need to build the web pages really fast! Is there a PHP CMS with which I can easily create the webpages with forms that can modify my database tables? The point is that I don't want to code it using plain PHP or MVC frameworks either. I looked at other CMSs' like Drupal and Joomla but it looks like its difficult to make them use custom tables.

  • Are there any new/updated Java web development frameworks to watch for?

    I know recently Spring 3.0 was released which brought about a nice new set of features and ease of web development with their MVC package. However are there any new frameworks on the horizon and/or new versions of other frameworks that a web developer should have their eyes on? I heard about the Stripes framework, but it seems as though development has stopped. It also seems grails has a new release coming out as well which that looks like it is just an update to support the new features in the latest groovy release.

  • Intellisense for Javascript - not correct in Visual Studio 2010

    var obj = document.getElementById("header"); Given the above code snippet, I should be able to wire event handlers. For example, I can wire onMouseDown to the mouse down event, the issue is that Visual Studio does not display this in the Intellisense. I've tried this on both a standalone Javascript file, as well as an MVC project to no luck. Is there anything I'm doing wrong - or is there a way to resolve this?
