• Adding an inheritance to an Qt designed object

  Hello, I have a problem and I want to implement the MVC pattern to my QT application, that's why I need for example to inherite in my QTableWidget about another class like myClass { myMethod(); } but our QTableWidget is contained by our Mainwidows that is designed by the QT designer and generate an ui_MainWindow class ! Do you know how to do that ? Is that a method inside the Qt Designer to do that ? or another method ? Thank you for your answer !

However this is still in Preview 2 and hasn't been updated since March 2009. Is this project dead in the water? If so, what alternatives do we have for creating .NET-based REST services?   I just started using CakePHP and it's very different from just normal procedural or basic OOP PHP. I am still learning PHP and still read "beginning PHP/mysql" books that teaches you basic PHP. Also lots of sites online provide code that isn't for a framework. Is the only way to make non-framework code to say a framework, say cakePHP, by learning cakePHP thoroughly than rewriting the code yourself to fit the MVC model?

  Python needs a framework, so does Java (for the web). I don't know much about Ruby or Coldfusion. But is there another language out there for the web that can stand alone as it is without a need for a framework or without strict adherence to a design pattern (MVC and the likes) aside from PHP? In .NET, I could do this: request.Form[0] request.Form["abc"] or request.QueryString[0] request.QueryString["some_key"] Now with spring/servlets it seems I can only do this: request.getParameter("some_key") or get all the names or values. When someone is posting a file to a url, using http post, won't this be just a single request parameter then? Can I get the parameter using index with servlets?

• jQuery, .empty() and memory

  Hello, my application (ASP.NET MVC) shows a page which loads data constantly, at certain intervals. The jQuery script calls a controller and this one renders a different partial view, based on certain conditions. This partial view is the appended to the DOM with jQuery; previous elements are removed with the empty() method. I've realized that after one day the browser loads something like 600Mb of memory. For example a site page which clearly appears as www.example.com/index/why on search together with correct content sample when clicked on ends up in the new browser as www.example.com/index.php/why Note that on my site all links are redirected to SSL and I use the MVC stucture.   I'm working on a web application using mvc, we have already a service that does http binding, the client wants tcp binding for certain actions (not really sure why) but it's their requirement so i'm attempting to set up net.tcp binding, all references i am seeing to doing this involve a windows application and not a web application. I guess my question has 2 parts, first can you run httpbinding and net.tcp binding at the same time through the same service/project. secondly how would I consume the service through a webproject?

• Easily reuse views, controller, layout in a command line interface

  My Zend application is going to get an command line php script that should email reports. There generation depends on Zend_View, Zend_Layout and is currently already working fine in the web interface. How can I reuse this whole MVC functionality in the command line? Should I add a new controller CommandLineController and call this somehow from the commandline? How can I kick of such a Controller manually, without having a HTTP request?
