• Unable to get the DspStatus Field in the Task document properties.

  Hi, I am using Interop.Domino.dll API to read the NSF file and able to read the properties of the Task Document. When i view the Task Document properties in the Lotus Notes, i am able to view the Status Field, Importance Field and few others, but when i programatically dump all the Field Names and their values i am unable to get few of them as mentioned above. So, how to get all the Field Names and their values as i iterate through all the document properties. Is this the problem of IBM Lotus Notes Application or the Domino API ? Here is my sample code to iterate the TODO document properties : object[] TaskItems = docTodoDoc.Items as object[]; foreach (NotesItem objItem in TaskItems) { m_objLogFile.Debug(objItem.Name + " - "); m_objLogFile.Debug("Values :: " + ((object[])docTodoDoc.GetItemValue(objItem.Name))[0] as String); } Please help me out to over come this issue as i need to access the status value of the TODO Item from the NSF file. Question: Let say I have class A,B,C and D now class A has some piece of code which I need to have in class B,C and D so I am extending class A in class B, class C, and class D Now how can I access the function of class A in other classes, do I need to create an object of class A and than access the function of class A or as am extending A in other classes than I can internally call the function using this parameter. If possible I would really appreciate if someone can explain this concept with code sample explaining how the logic flows.

  Hi all, I got a Table which has two fields: Point, and Level, with some sample data as follows: ----------------------- Point | Level ----------------------- 10 | Level 1 20 | Level 2 30 | Level 3 40 | Level 4 Suppose that there is a user who has 25 points, to find the Level in which this user is in, the Select statement I used was: Select Level from Table where Point < 30 AND Point > 20; But the Select SQL ststament is a hard-copy one where you can see the ponts 30 and 20 are fixed. I want to alter the Select statement so that the new SQL Select statement can be applied to all users with different points, but I don't know how to do it.

• Facebook Connect Post Feed from iPhone App without preview Broken!? URGENT!

  Hello All: I just downloaded the latest FBConnect build, popped in my keys and getting a mysterious hanging error only when I try to post a feed without previewing (setting preview to zero). The activity indicated disappears and the blank dialog window just hangs there. (This mirrors what I was getting on the app I was developing). If I try to post a feed with preview it works; set preview to zero it just hangs. Again; thats with the sample project "Publish Feed" button. Hitting getting permission button and then Publish Feed does same thing...... Other Developers have confirmed seeing this too...Apps that have previously had working feed posts have been broken for weeks. Discussions on facebook connect forum seem to be related to this. • python os.execvp() trying to display mysql tables gives 1049 error - Unknown database error.

  I have a question related to mysql and python. This command works on the shell, but not when I use os.execvp() $./mysql -D test -e "show tables" +----------------+ | Tables_in_test | +----------------+ | sample | +----------------+ The corresponding piece of code in python would be def execute(): args = [] args.extend(sys.argv[1:]) args.extend([MYSQL, '-D test -e "show tables"']) print args os.execvp(args[0], args) child_pid = os.fork() if child_pid == 0: os.execvp(args[0], args) else: os.wait() The output of this is: [./mysql', '-D test -e "show tables"'] ERROR 1049 (42000): Unknown database ' test -e "show tables"' I am not sure if this is a problem with the python syntax or not.   I have two tables "Product" having following structure: ProductID,ProductName, IsSaleTypeA, IsSaleTypeB, IsSaleTypeC 1, AAA, N, N, N 2, BBB, N, Y, N -- active 3, CCC, N, N, N 4, DDD, Y, N, N -- active 5, EEE, N, N, N 6, FFF, N, N, N 7, FFE, N, N, N 8, GGG, N, N, N 9, HHH, Y, N, N -- active The second table "ProductAllowed" having following structure where ProductIDs is a comma separated string filed having mix of active and inactive product ids based on their IsSaleType mode. ProductCode, ProductIDs AMRLSPN, "1,2" AMRLOFD, "1,3" BLGHVF, "2,4,6" BLGHVO, "2,4" BLGHVD, "3,5" BLGSDO, "0" CHOHVF, "1,6" CHOHVP, "1,2,7,8" ... ... Q: Is there a t-sql query that will return a list of active records from the "ProductAllowed" table if any of three IsSaleType fileds is/are switched on for a product. Based on the sample data the ProductAllowed records should return following records. AMRLSPN BLGHVF BLGHVO BLGSDO CHOHVP This needs to be applied in a SQLSERVER 2000 database containing aprox 150000 records. Thanks

• SQL Server: export data via SQL query?

  I have FK and PK all over my db and table data needs to be specified in a certain order or else I get FK/PK insertion errors. I'm tired of executing the wizard again and again to transfer data one table at a time. In the SQL Server export data wizard there is an option to "Write a query to specify the data to transfer". I'd like to write the query myself and specify the correct order. Will this solve my problem? How do I do this? Can you provide a sample query (or link to one) The databases are on two different servers - SQL Server 2008 on each ; The database names & permissions are the same ; each table name & col is the same ; I need Identity Insert for each table.

  Hi All, I am trying to do a sample project on the Apple the push notification. I created an AppID, done some terminal commands, and finally got a Provisional Certificate for do the same. I got the certificate installed on my device and SDK. Till now every thing goes fine. But when i try to run the app on the device.... it doesnt.   In Clojure, if I want to start a test cluster using the hbase testing utility, I have to annotate my dependencies with: [org.apache.hbase/hbase "0.92.2" :classifier "tests" :scope "test"] First of all, I have no idea what this means. According to leiningens sample project.clj ;; Dependencies are listed as [group-id/name version]; in addition ;; to keywords supported by Pomegranate, you can use :native-prefix ;; to specify a prefix. This prefix is used to extract natives in ;; jars that don't adhere to the default "<os>/<arch>/" layout that ;; Leiningen expects. Question 1: What does that mean? Question 2: If I upgrade the version: [org.apache.hbase/hbase "0.94.6.1" :classifier "tests" :scope "test"] Then I receive a ClassNotFoundException Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.hadoop.hbase.HBaseConfiguration Whats going on here and how do I fix it?

• Fixed header and footers gotchas and suggestion

  I am planning to revamp my blog layout and this time I plan to have position: fixed headers and footers, both will be ~40px tall. The header will contain the logo and search buttons, the footer is going to contain lots of items such as subscribe buttons, related posts, jump to top/comments/bottom buttons and so on (list is not finalized). Before I jump into this I am wondering if someone can tell me if its a good idea or not. And I'd also appreciate if you can point out best-practices and gotchas. The footer will contain facebook chat style popup for related posts and some other features so I am also wondering if its going to work with this layout. There will be ads too so this leaves me worrying if its possible to have a the header laying on top of ads (specially flash ads). Links to sample layouts will be appreciated.

• Regex to identify rows that do not contain exact number of occurences of quotemark character using Notepad++

  I would like to be able to jump to rows that dont contain 6 quotemarks in a quoted-CSV file as it feels like a good way to identify broken rows. I think using a regular expression with Notepad++'s find features would be a sensible approach but I'm not sure how to pick the rows up. 6 quotemarks (") would suggest a complete row so I want to skip to any row that does not contain 6.   I'm trying to make a web based media player using the HTML5 audio element implemented in Firefox 3.5 and Chrome. Reading Mozillas documentation, omitting the autobuffer attribute should result in the audio src not being requested: if specified, the audio will automatically begin being downloaded, even if not set to automatically play. This continues until the media cache is full, or the entire audio file has been downloaded, whichever comes first However, on the server side I notice the files are being requested anyway. • iPhone Live Video Stream Media Player

  I'm hoping to make an app that streams live video that has a view placed on top with labels and a button on it. From my research and testing of the http video streaming feature (available since iPhone 3.0 OS), it seems that you create a webview that points to the index html that contains the converted video stream, and this displays as a quicktime video in the app. This means that I don't have control over the Media Player that is opened. Does anyone know how you can control this? I know that the Apple's MoviePlayer sample code shows you how to place views on top of a MediaPlayer video, but how can this be done with a http live stream? Thanks in advance.

• Prevent status bar from receiving touch events

  Edit After further testing, it appears that the part of my button that are not clickable are where the status bar used to be. I'm hiding the status bar with : // -- Override point for customization after app launch [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:YES]; But it's still receiving touches. Any idea on how to disable this? Is there's a bounding box on an application that receives touch events? I created a few sample round rect buttons and placed them in different places in my view. The ones in the center of the view receive touch events (and show the highlighted blue color) but if I place a button near the edges of the view, only parts of them are clickable in the simulator. Is this because of Apples style guidelines? I placed a button exactly where a UITabNavigationItem would appear and only the bottom half of it is clickable.

• FreeLibrary vs implicit unloading DLL

  I have implemented a DLL including DllMain() entry function:- BOOL APIENTRY DllMain( HMODULE hModule, DWORD ul_reason_for_call, LPVOID lpReserved ) { case DLL_PROCESS_ATTACH: ... case DLL_THREAD_ATTACH: ... case DLL_THREAD_DETACH: ... case DLL_PROCESS_DETACH: ... } Unfortunately i made a mistake in DLL_PROCESS_DETACH case and accessing illegal memorey (access violation). I made a sample program which loads the library using LoadLibrary() function, uses the library function and finally call FreeLibrary() and return. When i executed this program, i didnt get any error message. But if i remove FreeLibrary(), in that case the DLL_PROCESS_DETACH case is executed implicitly and this time it gives error dialog box mentioning that there is access violation. Why calling FreeLibrary() suppress this error? OR internally it handles this exception? What is suggested way.

• How can I launch a missile?

  I am working on an open-source missile launcher application. I have added a big red button to a Form that says "Launch Missile". When I click the button, the event handler gets called. From the event handler I call a method named LaunchMissile(). So far so good, but how do you launch a missile from C# code?   I'm using Oracle object data types to represent a timespan or period. And I've got to do a bunch of operations that involve working with collections of periods. Iterating over collections in SQL is significantly faster than in PL/SQL. CREATE TYPE PERIOD AS OBJECT ( beginning DATE, ending DATE, ... some member functions...); CREATE TYPE PERIOD_TABLE AS TABLE OF PERIOD; -- sample usage SELECT <<period object>>.contains(period2) FROM TABLE(period_table1) t The problem is that the TABLE() function explodes the objects into scalar values, and I really need the objects instead. I could use the scalar values to recreate the objects but this would incur the overhead of re-instantiating the objects. And the period is designed to be subclassed so there would be additional difficulty trying to figure out what to initialize it as. Is there another way to do this that doesn't destroy my objects?

How can i get these credentials to log in? I'd like to log in as root i guess. But i don't know how to setup a root account and create a password for root using the cli and mysql. Please help? • simple div containing span won't size correctly

  I thought I was pretty knowledgeable about CSS but this simple problem baffles me. <div><span>sample text</span></div> results in the div's height being smaller than the height of the span if the span has padding. I realize that there are ways to use "float" to make the div size correctly, but floats always seem to introduce undesired side effects. Isn't there a clean simple way to tell the div to size to fit its contents? Seems pretty basic to me. Maybe I'm missing something.
