Hi,
This website http://www.elkaniho.com/ has a CSS layout which is what i want, you see, the divs stack on top of each other, not on a precise grid, but just at the bottom and on the side.
And when you re-size the browser, they all re-adjust perfectly?
anyone know how i can get the same layout like at elkaniho.com or what type of layout this is called?
Hello everyone,
The question that I have is very basic: Is there a way to inform the web browser that the content of the cookie has changed?
I don't want to keep looking at the file and check if it has been updated because it'll cause performance degree on my app.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I realize this is probably a simple question but my google-fu is failing me. I would like to get a windows explorer like file browser to popup when I click a button to select images to upload to my AIR application. However I cannot find a component that handles File exploring. Does anyone know what to use? Thanks!
Hi,
I am looking for an Open Source & Free Browser based Adhoc / End User Reporting Tool preferably based on Java (any other technologies are also welcome).
I have researched on JasperServer Pro, BIRT & Pentaho. Even though these are open source & free, the end user/adhoc reporting components needs to be paid annual license fees which is not quite affordable for us. So please tell you suggestions
Thanks In Advance.
I'm asking this because i'm a n00b when it comes to Powershell.
How do i use Powershell to add a particular domain user or group to a specific reporting role in SSRS2005 (say the Content Manager or Browser role)? Is there a simple one or two line script to achieve it?
Thanks!
Note: this is definately programming related (not server admin), but i am also going to ask this on SF.

When we open plain swf in browser, we are able to control the swf file by right clicking, the available control are: zoom in, zoom out, quality, rewind (previous frame), forward (next frame), and print. Is it possible to trigger those control using javascript especially jquery?
I'm trying to update and install the latest Android SDK (API 8) and keep getting the following error:
Failed to fetch URL https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml, reason: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
I'm running on OS X 10.6.3 If I visit the url in a browser I'm not getting any errors about an untrusted cert.
I know this is a simple question, but I haven't had the chance to test it in any browser other than Firefox.
If I attach multiple event handlers to a single event on a single DOM element, are the event handlers guaranteed to be called in the order they were added? Or should I not rely on this behavior?
What is the best way to write a Safari extension? I've written a couple XUL extensions for Firefox, and now I'd like to write versions of them for Safari. Is there a way that would allow you to add buttons or forms to the browser UI, since this is not possible with an Input manager or Service menu?
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the recent Safari update, but I'm beginning to notice this a lot. There is a drastic difference in the way each browser is rendering fonts.
for instance, I took screenshots of what I am seeing here on stackoverflow...

I have verified that this is a trend via my co-workers machines.
has anyone noticed this or have any thoughts on non-hack solutions?
I am using GWT Anchor, but when I pass a url encoded string to the setHref function, the browser displays the link in a decoded format. What's the reason for this? Is there a fix for it?
Anchor a = new Anchor();a.setHref(URL.encode(someString));
I have a VBScript that is running through a list of actions in IE, and at one point the site displays an Alert box with "OK" and "Cancel" as options. 'OK' is focused when the alert box appears, however SendKeys "{ENTER}" isn't doing the trick. I think perhaps the browser window still has the focus of the VBS. How can I tell the VBS to 'OK' the alert box and continue with the routines?
How to scrape a page like this.
https://www.procom.ca/JobList.aspx?keywords=&Cities=&reference=&JobType=0
It is secure, and requires a referrer? I can't get anything using wget or httplib2.
If you go through this page, you get a list and it works on a browser but not the command line.

I am interested in command line fetching.
thx
I was playing with new Silverlight 4 and to my surprise when I run my sample application in OOB all animations become very jerky when I move mouse around during animations, but when I run my app in browser animations are smooth even when moving mouse around.
I tried my app on two different computers, turned on GPU acceleration in OOB settings - and got the same jerky result.
Is this a know problem with Silverlight?

Hi,
Is there no way for javascript hosted on a webserver to read a file on a client's local machine? (this has obvious security risks). I guess I'm wondering if there's any access granting a user can do, like drag and dropping a file into the browser, or explicitly selecting a file from a popup to get around this?
I know flash 10 allows reading of a local file, just wondering if there were any method to do this in javascript.
Thanks
Hi everyone, hope someone can help. just cannot get a new window to open in Firefox without address bars. IE works fine with below code

I'd like to be able to identify whether a given DOM node has been inserted into a document, or part of one, yet, or whether it is fresh out of document.createElement() or similar and has not been placed anywhere.
In most browsers just checking the parentNode works.
if (!node.parentNode) {
// this node is not part of a larger document
}
However, in Internet Explorer it appears that new elements, even right after they've been created with document.createElement() already have a parentNode object (of type DispHTMLDocument??).
Any other nice cross-browser and reliable way?
