• EF problem with entity re-ordering and uniqueness constraint

  I am using Entity Framework and I've come to an interesting stumbling block. Let's say there is a db table "Item" with "sequence" column of type int (and others of course). Column "sequence" must be unique and it is used for (re)ordering of items. EF maps this table to "Item" class with "sequence" int property. Now let's say I want to swap position of two items by mutually exchanging each other's sequence number. Upon calling SaveChanges() EF throws an exception complaining about "sequence" uniqueness. It probably generates two UPDATEs and the first one probably fails. I assume that plain SQL solution to this issue is using a third UPDATE to introduce a unique sequence value in the process but I am stuck with EF. Any thoughts?

All textures are .map. The attached image has the machine cofiguration with page file. here is the log file when the file crashes. what is the line in the log file mean. How to solve this. • How to handle request-wise DB transactions in ASP.NET MVC?

  I'm using SubSonic 3.0 (SimpleRepository) to handle database access in my ASP.NET MVC 1.0 application. It would be nice to handle a transaction for every web request, committing if everything went smooth and rolling back in case of exception. Is this possible? If so, how? I know this topic has been discussed many times, but I just couldn't find a satisfactory answer. I have built my own solution (create a TransactionScope in the controller, then commit/rollback in OnActionExecuted), but it turns out to be very unreliable.

  I'm doing a local install on Mac OSX of Spree (a Ruby-based ecommerce package) following the tutorial on this page. I'm using RVM to run Ruby 1.9.2 and rails 3.0.3. I run "gem install spree" successfully to load spree version 0.40. But when I run "Gem Install Spree" I get the following message. Can anyone help? /Library/Ruby/Site/1.8/rubygems.rb:335:in `bin_path': can't find executable spree for spree-0.40.0 (Gem::Exception) from /usr/bin/spree:19 Also, when I run "Gem list spree" I get an empty list.

  I am getting this exception from a MySqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery(): Index and length must refer to a location within the string. I Want to save all changes to my file and I want to release all source. I want to all of them in my destructor. But In my destructor, Excel.ApplicationClass, Workbook and Worksheet objects are fill by an Exception which have message "COM object that has been separated from its underlying RCW cannot be used." So I can't save nothing, close nothing because i can't access workbook or worksheet object. Can't I access the class private members in Destructor?

  I have a multiple select, and I need to force the user to choose maximum two options, nothing more. While if I do this: $(element).each(function(i, selected){ foo[i] = $(selected).text(); alert(foo[i]); }); It works but I get all the options in the select. Why is that? For example, not all of my users have hooked up their facebook accounts to my website, but I still want to use this API method. I am getting the following error: Fatal error: Uncaught Exception: 453: A session key is required for calling this method thrown in /public_html/libs/facebook.php on line 413 But on the wiki it says that the method does not require a session key? If it is not possible to make API calls without such a key, is there anyway I can make calls on behalf of my account or my applications account (rather then a users account)? • C# threading a FolderBrowserDialog

  Hi, Im trying to use the FolderBrowserDialog to select a folder in C#. At first I got a Thread exception, so I googled what was wrong and fixed that but now im stuck at a nother problem. I whant to know when a folder has been selected.   The method DotNetOpenAuth.OpenId.RelyingParty.IAuthenticationRequest.RedirectToProvider() is documented never to return: Redirects the user agent to the provider for authentication. Execution of the current page terminates after this call. However, it does return under the latest implementation (3.4.3). I need to return an ActionResult from this method ... Is this a known bug? Is there a aorkaround? Should I return EmptyResult? As far as I understand this is a bug - I submitted it in the project issue tracker.
