  • Transfer of control and data between C and C#

    - by Prithvi
    C# main program needs to call a C program GA.c This C code executes many functions and one function initialize() calls objective() function. But this objective function needs to be written in C#.This call is in a loop in the C code and the C code needs to continue execution after the return from objective() until its main is over and return control to C# main program. C# main() { //code call to GA in C; //remaining code; } GA in C: Ga Main() { //code call to initialize function(); //remaining code } initialize funtion() in GA { for(some condition) { //code call to objective(parameter) function in C#; //code } } How do we do this?

  • jquery to construct a string and pass it as a post argument for file

    - by user253530
    I have this js code: $("#startSearch").live("click", function(event){ $("input:checkbox[name='searchId']:checked").each(function(){ var searchId = $(this).val(); var host = ''; $.post("php/autosearch-get-host.php",{sId: searchId},function(data){ host = 'http://' + data + '/index.php'; }); //alert(host); $.getJSON(host,{searchId: $(this).val()},function(){ pagination("php/pagination.php", $('#currentPage').val(), $('#sortBy').val(), $("#sortMode").val(), "autosearch"); }); }); }); The php file php/autosearch-get-host.php returns a string with the host name. What i want is to get the host from the database, create the URL using string concatenation and pass it as an argument to another $.post. $.post should use that URL like this: $.getJSON(host,{searchId: $(this).val()},function() { pagination("php/pagination.php", $('#currentPage').val(), $('#sortBy').val(), $("#sortMode").val(), "autosearch"); });

  • Confirmation box pops up more than once using ajax

    - by peter burg
    I'm using Ajax to delete records and display an animated message (function display_message) when this record is deleted, but I noticed that the confirmation box pops up depending on the number of records. for example if I have 2 records in my list and I want to delete on of them.The confirmation box pops up twice before deleting and the same thing happen with the message, It appears twice(I'm using a message that fade in and out), and so on(3 records - 3 pops up, etc). I tried a lot to resolve it but I haven't succeed . Here is my function that delete the records: $(function() { $(".delete_class").click(function() { var id = $(this).attr("id"); var dataString = 'id='+ id ; var parent = $(this).parent().parent(); if(confirm("are you sure?")) { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "delete.php", data: dataString, cache: false, success: function() { parent.hide(); } }); } display_message("user deleted!") }); }); Please help.

  • Remove empty subfolders with PHP

    - by Dmitry Letano
    I am working on a PHP function that will recursively remove all sub-folders that contain no files starting from a given absolute path. Here is the code developed so far: function RemoveEmptySubFolders($starting_from_path) { // Returns true if the folder contains no files function IsEmptyFolder($folder) { return (count(array_diff(glob($folder.DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR."*"), Array(".", ".."))) == 0); } // Cycles thorugh the subfolders of $from_path and // returns true if at least one empty folder has been removed function DoRemoveEmptyFolders($from_path) { if(IsEmptyFolder($from_path)) { rmdir($from_path); return true; } else { $Dirs = glob($from_path.DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR."*", GLOB_ONLYDIR); $ret = false; foreach($Dirs as $path) { $res = DoRemoveEmptyFolders($path); $ret = $ret ? $ret : $res; } return $ret; } } while (DoRemoveEmptyFolders($starting_from_path)) {} } As per my tests this function works, though I would be very delighted to see any ideas for better performing code.

  • Why does Printing from Javascript in Air happen out of order?

    - by Bob Bob
    I am trying to print from an Adobe Air App that embeds an AJAX app. The print function looks like this: function printPage() { asyncSetupForPrint(printCallback); } function asyncSetupForPrint(printCallback) { synchronousMethods(); if (printCallback) printCallback(); } function printCallback() { var pjob = new window.runtime.flash.printing.PrintJob; var psprite = window.htmlLoader; pjob.start(); // etc... } However the print dialog is coming up before the synchronous methods have been executed. Is the AIR JS runtime optimizing something? And if so, is there any way to stop it doing that? (The setup function is doing things like changing the resolution to huge*huge so that the print out looks ok.)

  • How can I call some javascript functions but, waiting for the previous has finished?

    - by texai
    I want to call some functions but waiting for the previous one has finished. I know jQuery provides a callback argument in several functions, but I want to learn how implement this behaviour in my own jQuery plugin. So this is the case: After read answers from my previous question I wrote this: (function(callback){ $('#art1').animate({'width':'1000px'},1000); callback(); })((function(callback2){ $('#art2').animate({'width':'1000px'},1000); callback2(); })(function(){ $('#art3').animate({'width':'1000px'},1000); })); But still not working. Three animates still starting at same time. I want they were called one after other. But without using: $('#art1').animate({'width':'1000px'},1000,'linear',function(){ $('#art2').animate({'width':'1000px'},1000,'linear',function(){ $('#art3').animate({'width':'1000px'},1000); }); });

  • Cannot set focus on input field in infoWindow

    - by thomas
    Hi Why is focus not set to noteTitle? I am using google maps API V3. The getNoteForm() returns a input field "noteTitle". The $("#noteTitle").focus() works fine when executed in firebug. I call this function when clicking on the map: function setNewNoteInfowindow(latlng) { if (geocoder) { geocoder.geocode({'latLng': latlng}, function(results, status) { var address = ""; if (status == google.maps.GeocoderStatus.OK) { if (results[1]) { address = results[1].formatted_address; } } newNoteInfowindow = new google.maps.InfoWindow({ content: getNoteForm(latlng, address), size: new google.maps.Size(40,50) }); newNoteInfowindow.open(map, newNoteMarker); google.maps.event.addListener(newNoteInfowindow, 'domready', function() { $("#noteTitle").focus(); }); google.maps.event.addListener(newNoteInfowindow, 'closeclick', function() { newNoteMarker.setVisible(false); }); }); } }

  • internet explorer, google chrome injection

    - by Volim Te
    I wrote code that injects a function in Internet Explorer/Chrome but it doesn't work with these processes. Basically, it fills one big structure with all the APIs my function needs, strings, and other data, then it opens a process to get a handle, virtualallocex to allocate enough memory to store a function and structure there, and it writes the function and the structure in allocated memory. It then runs createremotethread there with the function as a starting address and structure as parameter. It works all great with calc/notepad/winamp processes but I have problems with browser injection. I'm wondering what could it be, I'm using these APIs. x.xCreateFile x.xWriteFile x.xCloseHandle x.xSleep x.xVirtualAlloc x.xVirtualFree x.xMessageBox x.xLoadLibrary x.xShellExecute Is it because browsers are protected now and they're running with lowest privileges?

  • javascript inherance? with Private vars and methods too

    - by Totty
    Hy i need to inherent a class from another. Parent has private var "_data" and private method "_test" and public method "add" Now the child have a public method "add", that uses the private method from the parent "_test" and the private var "_data". How do i do this? var Parent = function(){ var _data = {}; var _test = function(){alert('test')}; this.add = function(){alert('add from parent')} } var Child = function(){ this.add = function(){// here uses the _data and _test from the Parent class alert('add from child') } } // something to inherent Child from Parent // instance Child and use the add method And i think im miss the prototype concept (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/892467/javascript-inheritance)

  • ASP.Net Architecture Specific to Shared/Static functions

    - by Maxim Gershkovich
    Hello All, Could someone please advise in the context of a ASP.Net application is a shared/static function common to all users? If for example you have a function Public shared function GetStockByID(StockID as Guid) as Stock Is that function common to all current users of your application? Or is the shared function only specific to the current user and shared in the context of ONLY that current user? So more specifically my question is this, besides database concurrency issues such as table locking do I need to concern myself with threading issues in shared functions in an ASP.Net application? In my head; let’s say my application namespace is MyTestApplicationNamespace. Everytime a new user connects to my site a new instance of the MyTestApplicationNamespace is created and therefore all shared functions are common to that instance and user but NOT common across multiple users. Is this correct?

  • Using events in threads between processes - C

    - by Jamie Keeling
    Hello all! I have an application consisting of two windows, one communicates to the other and sends it a struct constaining two integers (In this case two rolls of a dice). I will be using events for the following circumstances: Process a sends data to process b, process b displays data Process a closes, in turn closing process b Process b closes a, in turn closing process a I have noticed that if the second process is constantly waiting for the first process to send data then the program will be just sat waiting, which is where the idea of implementing threads on each process occurred and I have started to implement this already. The problem i'm having is that I don't exactly have a lot of experience with threads and events so I'm not sure of the best way to actually implement what I want to do. Following is a small snippet of what I have so far in the producer application; Create thread: case IDM_FILE_ROLLDICE: { hDiceRoll = CreateThread( NULL, // lpThreadAttributes (default) 0, // dwStackSize (default) ThreadFunc(hMainWindow), // lpStartAddress NULL, // lpParameter 0, // dwCreationFlags &hDiceID // lpThreadId (returned by function) ); } break; The data being sent to the other process: DWORD WINAPI ThreadFunc(LPVOID passedHandle) { HANDLE hMainHandle = *((HANDLE*)passedHandle); WCHAR buffer[256]; LPCTSTR pBuf; LPVOID lpMsgBuf; LPVOID lpDisplayBuf; struct diceData storage; HANDLE hMapFile; DWORD dw; //Roll dice and store results in variable storage = RollDice(); hMapFile = CreateFileMapping( (HANDLE)0xFFFFFFFF, // use paging file NULL, // default security PAGE_READWRITE, // read/write access 0, // maximum object size (high-order DWORD) BUF_SIZE, // maximum object size (low-order DWORD) szName); // name of mapping object if (hMapFile == NULL) { dw = GetLastError(); MessageBox(hMainHandle,L"Could not create file mapping object",L"Error",MB_OK); return 1; } pBuf = (LPTSTR) MapViewOfFile(hMapFile, // handle to map object FILE_MAP_ALL_ACCESS, // read/write permission 0, 0, BUF_SIZE); if (pBuf == NULL) { MessageBox(hMainHandle,L"Could not map view of file",L"Error",MB_OK); CloseHandle(hMapFile); return 1; } CopyMemory((PVOID)pBuf, &storage, (_tcslen(szMsg) * sizeof(TCHAR))); //_getch(); MessageBox(hMainHandle,L"Completed!",L"Success",MB_OK); UnmapViewOfFile(pBuf); return 0; } I'm trying to find out how I would integrate an event with the threaded code to signify to the other process that something has happened, I've seen an MSDN article on using events but it's just confused me if anything, I'm coming up on empty whilst searching on the internet too. Thanks for any help Edit: I can only use the Create/Set/Open methods for events, sorry for not mentioning it earlier.

  • bloated jquery xml requests

    - by Tim Joyce
    Hi, I was wondering if anyone had an alternative to this. $(xml).find("a").each(function(){ $(this).find('b').each(function(){ $(this).find('c').each(function(){ $(this).find('d1').each(function(){ sectionValidation.RegisterTerms.setRegisterTermsArray(this); }); $(this).find('d2').each(function(){ sectionValidation.RegisterTerms.checkValidVariations(this, val); }); }); }); }); It seems really bloated and there has to be a more elegant approach to getting nested xml data. Thank you

  • Trying to get JQuery Autocomplete working on Asp.Net page.

    - by JasonMHirst
    Can someone shed some light on the problem please: I have the following: $(document).ready(function () { $("#txtFirstContact").autocomplete({url:'http://localhost:7970/Home/FindSurname' }); }); On my Asp.Net page. The http request is a function on an MVC Controller and that code is here: Function FindSurname(ByVal surname As String, ByVal count As Integer) Dim sqlConnection As New SqlClient.SqlConnection sqlConnection.ConnectionString = My.Settings.sqlConnection Dim sqlCommand As New SqlClient.SqlCommand sqlCommand.CommandText = "SELECT ConSName FROM tblContact WHERE ConSName LIKE '" & surname & "%'" sqlCommand.Connection = sqlConnection Dim ds As New DataSet Dim da As New SqlClient.SqlDataAdapter(sqlCommand) da.Fill(ds, "Contact") sqlConnection.Close() Dim contactsArray As New List(Of String) For Each dr As DataRow In ds.Tables("Contact").Rows contactsArray.Add(dr.Item("ConSName")) Next Return Json(contactsArray, JsonRequestBehavior.AllowGet) End Function As far as I'm aware, the Controller is returning JSON data, however I don't know if the Function Parameters are correct, or indeed if the format returned is interprettable by the AutoComplete plugin. If anyone can assist in the matter I'd really appreciate it.

  • How can I create variable variables in ActionScript

It seems that I can't create variable variables in compiled languages.

  • Can not get json response using $.getJSON

    - by Mellon
    I am currently developing a Ruby on rails 3 application. My server controller function render a json object as response: class DaysController < BaseController ... def the_days ... render :json => days end end In my javascript,I use the following code to get json response from server( that's from the_day function in controller) $.getJSON( url, {emp_id: emp_id}, function(data) { var result = data.response; alert(result) alert(data) }, "json" ); I use firefox browswer and checked with Firebug, in Firebug Net-XHR, I see the Get request is successful, and the response "days" is there. That's both request and response are successful. But I did not see the two alert window defined in the above $.getJSON function, why? Why I can not get the response "days" in $.getJSON function??

  • jQuery event fires on doc ready

    - by gmcalab
    I am trying to set the click event of a button on my form and for some reason I am getting weird behavior. When I bind the click event to a function that takes no arguments, things seem to work fine. But when I bind the event with a function that takes an argument, the event fires on document ready and on click. Any ideas? Example 1: This causes an alert box to fire on ready and when the button is clicked. jQuery(document).ready(function(){ $('myButton').click(alert('foo')); }); Example 2: This causes an alert box to fire ONLY when the button is clicked. jQuery(document).ready(function(){ $('myButton').click(wrapper); }); // External js file function wrapper(){ alert('bar'); }

  • Making a jQuery selection in IE on html added via .load()

    - by Joel Crawford-Smith
    Scenario: I am using jQuery to lazy load some html and change the relative href attributes of all the anchors to absolute links. The loading function adds the html in all browsers. The url rewrite function works on the original DOM in all browsers. But In IE7, IE8 I can't run that same function on the new lazy loaded html in the DOM. //lazy load a part of a file $(document).ready(function() { $('#tab1-cont') .load('/web_Content.htm #tab1-cont'); return false; }); //convert relative links to absolute links $("#tab1-cont a[href^=/]").each(function() { var hrefValue = $(this).attr("href"); $(this) .attr("href", "http://www.web.org" + hrefValue) .css('border', 'solid 1px green'); return false; }); I think my question is: whats the trick to getting IE to make selections on DOM that is lazy loaded with jQuery? This is my first post. Be gentle :-) Thanks, Joel

  • Ideas on implementing threads and cross process communication. - C

The problem i'm having is that I don't exactly have a lot of experience with threads and events so I'm not sure of the best way to actually implement what I want to do. Following is a small snippet of what I have so far in the producer application; Rolling the dice and sending the data: case IDM_FILE_ROLLDICE: { hDiceRoll = CreateThread( NULL, // lpThreadAttributes (default) 0, // dwStackSize (default) ThreadFunc(hMainWindow), // lpStartAddress NULL, // lpParameter 0, // dwCreationFlags &hDiceID // lpThreadId (returned by function) ); } break; The data being sent to the other process: DWORD WINAPI ThreadFunc(LPVOID passedHandle) { HANDLE hMainHandle = *((HANDLE*)passedHandle); WCHAR buffer[256]; LPCTSTR pBuf; LPVOID lpMsgBuf; LPVOID lpDisplayBuf; struct diceData storage; HANDLE hMapFile; DWORD dw; //Roll dice and store results in variable storage = RollDice(); hMapFile = CreateFileMapping( (HANDLE)0xFFFFFFFF, // use paging file NULL, // default security PAGE_READWRITE, // read/write access 0, // maximum object size (high-order DWORD) BUF_SIZE, // maximum object size (low-order DWORD) szName); // name of mapping object if (hMapFile == NULL) { dw = GetLastError(); MessageBox(hMainHandle,L"Could not create file mapping object",L"Error",MB_OK); return 1; } pBuf = (LPTSTR) MapViewOfFile(hMapFile, // handle to map object FILE_MAP_ALL_ACCESS, // read/write permission 0, 0, BUF_SIZE); if (pBuf == NULL) { MessageBox(hMainHandle,L"Could not map view of file",L"Error",MB_OK); CloseHandle(hMapFile); return 1; } CopyMemory((PVOID)pBuf, &storage, (_tcslen(szMsg) * sizeof(TCHAR))); //_getch(); MessageBox(hMainHandle,L"Completed!",L"Success",MB_OK); UnmapViewOfFile(pBuf); return 0; } I'd like to think I am at least on the right lines, although for some reason when the application finishes creating the thread it hits the return DefWindowProc(hMainWindow, message, wParam, lParam); it crashes saying there's no more source code for the current location. I know there are certain ways to implement things but as I've mentioned I'm not sure if i'm doing this the right way, has anybody else tried to do the same thing? Thanks!

Notice the section with the ////////////////////// However, upon clicking the button, nothing happens. The xml file itself is okay and loads the desired data. I also receive no errors in firebug. Any ideas why this happens? Thanks!

  • IE8 + Jquery ajax call giving parsererror from dJango : for json data which seems valid in Firefox

    The ajax call works fine in FF. the data returned is in JSON here is an example from FF firebug - {"noProfiles": "No profiles have been created, lets start now !"} When I try to print the error in IE8 (& in compatibility modes as well), it says "parsererror". But the output seems to be valid JSON. Here is the ajax function call I'm making. Any pointers would be great ! $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "/get_all_profile_details/", data: "", dataType: "json", beforeSend: function() {alert("before send called");}, success: function(jsonData) { alert("data received"); }, error: function(xhr, txt, err){ alert("xhr: " + xhr + "\n textStatus: " + txt + "\n errorThrown: " + err); } }); The alerts in the error function above give - xhr:<blank> textstatus:parsererror errorThrown: undefined Any pointers would be great ! • Dojo JSON call back always returns an error

    Hi Guys, I am using Dojo and making a AJAX call to a JAVA Class and trying to get the output of the program to a Alert box to the client. var showResult = function(result){ console.log("Showing Result()"); var store = new dojo.data.ItemFileReadStore({ data: result}); console.dir(store); store.fetch( { onItem: function(data) { alert("Hie"); }, onError: function(error,request){ alert("ERROR");} }); }; This is my code, showResult basically is call back function from xhr request. I can see console.dir(store) printed onto Firebug but the fetch function always returns the onError block. My store array is of the form {info="Test Message"} and I need to retrieve "Test Message" and display it in a Alert box. Any help?
