• JavaScript: how to use data but to hide it so as it cannot be reused

  Hi all. I've some data that i'd like to publish just on one website, ie. it should not be reused on other websites. The data is a set of numbers that change every day, our journalists work to get hard gather it. Is there any way to hide, crypt, etc. the data in a way that it cannot be reused by others? But to show it in a graph in the same time? I found the ASCII to HEX tool that could be used for (http://utenti.multimania.it/ascii2hex/). I wonder if you can suggest other ways. (Even if I have to completely change the strategy.) Many thanks!

• Do I need something more to run NUnit under any directory?

  I have NUnit installed at this directory. C:\Program Files\NUnit 2.5.5\bin\net-2.0 When I try to run my unit test (mut.dll) in some random directory. I get the following error. I have to copy the mut.dll under the NUnit directory in order to run it. ProcessModel: Default DomainUsage: Single Execution Runtime: net-2.0 Could not load file or assembly 'nunit.framework, Version=2.5.5.10112, Culture=n eutral, PublicKeyToken=96d09a1eb7f44a77' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. What's wrong? Is there anything that I have to configure to run NUNit under any directory?

  Okay I have two tables VOUCHERT with the following fields ACTIVATIONCODE SERIALNUMBER VOUCHERDATADBID UNAVAILABLEAT UNAVAILABLEOPERATORDBID AVAILABLEAT AVAILABLEOPERATORDBID ACTIVATIONCODENEW EXT1 EXT2 EXT3 DENOMINATION -- I added this column into the table. and the second table is VOUCHERDATAT with the following fields VOUCHERDATADBID BATCHID VALUE CURRENCY VOUCHERGROUP EXPIRYDATE AGENT EXT1 EXT2 EXT3 What I want to do is copy the corresponding VALUE from VOUCHERDATAT and put it into DENOMINATION of VOUCHERT. The linking between the two is VOUCHERDATADBID. How do I go about it? It is not a 1:1 mapping. What I mean is there may be 1000 SERIALNUMBERS with a same VOUCHERDATADBID. And that VOUCHERDATADBID has only entry in VOUCHERDATAT, hence one value. Therefore, all serial numbers belonging to a certain VOUCHERDATADBID will have the same value. Will JOINS work? What type of JOIN should I use? Or is UPDATE table the way to go? Thanks for the help !!

• Simple integer encryption

  Is there a simple algorithm to encrypt integers? That is, a function E(i,k) that accepts an n-bit integer and a key (of any type) and produces another, unrelated n-bit integer that, when fed into a second function D(i,k) (along with the key) produces the original integer? Obviously there are some simple reversible operations you can perform, but they all seem to produce clearly related outputs (e.g. consecutive inputs lead to consecutive outputs). Also, of course, there are cryptographically strong standard algorithms, but they don't produce small enough outputs (e.g. 32-bit). I know any 32-bit cryptography can be brute-forced, but I'm not looking for something cryptographically strong, just something that looks random. Theoretically speaking it should be possible; after all, I could just create a dictionary by randomly pairing every integer. But I was hoping for something a little less memory-intensive.

However with large numbers of rows/columns, we are expecting a loss in efficiency. Is there a way to "data bind" from a DataSet object into the worksheet without using the cell-by-cell approach? Most of the methods we have seen at some point revert to the cell-by-cell approach. Thanks for any suggestions.

• Hard drive randomly sppeeding up

  Having a weird issue with my hard drive. Running Windows 7 with an I5 processor. At random times the hard drive will start running at top speed and gradually return to normal over the next two minutes or so. Going to Resource Monitor it shows a variety of things with high read or write numbers. Log files NTFS volume log, Windows prefetch, System/user/appdata, and Program data Norton are the usual top ones listed. This just started about three months ago although the computer is about 3 years old. Have run in safe mode with internet over the weekend going to all of my usual sites with no such speed up. Question 1 - what can be causing this? Question 2 - how can I find out where data is being sent(especially if over the net)? Thank you.

  It takes about minute to achieve 3000 in my comp but I need to know the millionth number in the series. The definition is recursive so I cannot see any shortcuts except to calculate everything before the millionth number. How can you fast calculate millionth number in the series? • how to represent negative number to array of integers ?

  I must convert string of 1324312321 to array of integers in java this is fine. I could use integer parseint and string substring method but how do I repesent -12312312 to my original array of integer.. the fact that - is a char / string and convert to array of integer would alter the value ( even though I convert - to integer-equivalent , it would change the rest of 12312312) it must be an array of integers and how should I convert negative numbers and still keeep the same value somehow reminding me of two complements trick but i dont think i need to go down to binary level in my program.. any other trick for doing this? thanks!

  Scenario: I have a fairly generic table (Data), that has an identity column. The data in this table is grouped (lets say by city). The users need an identifier in order for printing on paper forms, etc. The users can only access their cites data, so if they use the identity column for this purpose they will see odd numbers (e.g. a 'New York' user might see 1,37,2028... as the listed keys. Idealy they would see 1,2,3... (or something similar) The problem of course is concurrency, this being a web application you can't just have something like: UserId = Select Count(*)+1 from Data Where City='New York' Has anyone come up with any cunning ways around this problem?

I'm a beginner and am making a calculator (fairly easy), but it's happening the following problem: When Cline in "1" button for example, he enters this number in the EditText, but if you click again the number is overwritten instead of the inserted his side as desired. How do the numbers were placed side by side without overwriting those already there? Note: The layout of buttons and etc. I did in. XML, so I'm not using the keyboard native Android. Thanks!

  Hi, I am developing a console application. This application generates a self signed certificate and installs it in the current machine's certificate store. The steps invlolved are :- Generate a certificate Create a pfx file Install the pfx file For these steps i would need a password for protecting the private key and the pfx file. However these passwords are used only during the execution of the exe. Should I auto generate a password using some random number generation algorithm or accept the password as input from the user?   While writing a function which will perform some operation with each number in a range I ran into some problems with floating point inaccuracies.   How can I list the numbers 01 to 12 (one for each of the 12 months) in such a way so that the current month always comes last where the oldest one is first. In other words, if the number is grater than the current month, it's from the previous year. e.g. 02 is Feb, 2011 (the current month right now), 03 is March, 2010 and 09 is Sep, 2010 but 01 is Jan, 2011. In this case, I'd like to have [09, 03, 01, 02]. For example: D = A + (A - C / X)(7.8 - 6.6) F = E + (E - C / X)(7.8 - 6.6) FinalResult = (A + D)(0.9) + (E + F)(0.32) + B(0.1) + .023 where all variables would mean for me to go to a database and look something up based on values and return a number in its place. So A would be 2.12 for example (and the same for C and E) Whats the best way to structure this program? How would I make my program read these formulas? Its basically fetching rows through an ajax call and in this ajax call, I send the search params that the user selects and the page number required. I need the Next, Previous, First and Last buttons to also fire the same ajax call, but with different page numbers, as the back-end interceptor depends on the page number. This api call would return total no. of rows(say 1000) belonging for these search params and the rows with the page size( say 50). Is there any way, I can use data table to do this?

  Hello, I need to write a bunch of unsigned integers to std::ofstream in binary mode: std::ofstream f; f.open("some path", std::ios::out | std::ios::binary); // some loop { unsigned int k = get_k(); // may product numbers from 0 to 65535 f << k; } f.close(); They are written to the output file "as is" w/o any delimiter. So when I'm trying to read them back (expecting to get what I wrote) using std::ifstream I get very strange values. What I'm doing wrong? Or I should to put ' ' (space) to the stream after any added number to separate them? Thanks.

  I'm having a little test program that sends a lot of udp packets between client-server-client (ping/pong test). The packets are fixed size on each run(last run is max allowable size of udp packet) I'm filling the packets with random data except for the beginning of each packet that contains the packet number. So I'm only interested to see if I receive all the packets back at the client. I'm using sendto() and recvfrom() and I only read the sizeof(packet_number) (which in this case is an int). What happens to the rest of the data? Does it end up in fairyland (gets discarded)? or does the new packet that arrives gets appended to this "old" data? (using linux)

  I have a table that stores RDF triples: triples(triple_id, sub_id, pre_id, obj_id) The method (I need to write) will receive an array of numbers which correspond to pre_id values. I want to select all sub_id values that have a corresponding pre_id for all the pre_ids in the array that is passed in. E.g. if I had a single pre_id values passed in... lets call the value passed in preId, I would do: select sub_id from triples where pre_id=preId; However since I have mutliple pre_id values I want to keep iterating through the pre_id values and only keep the sub_id values corresponding to the "triples" records that have both. E.g. image there are five records: triples(1, 34,65,23) triples(2, 31,35,28) triples(3, 32,32,19) triples(4, 12,65,28) triples(5, 76,32,34) If I pass in an array of pre_id values [65,32] then I want to select the first, third, fourth and fifth records. What would I do for that?
