  • .net: does anyone know a free library to download nntp messages

    hi folks, i'm using ip*works for download newsgroup message and insert them into a database... ipworks is "comfortable" to use because it automatically split nntp data return into different object (or variable). So i've "author" "date" "topic" "messagge" already splitted to my use. However ipworks isn't free and it cost a lot for my use.. so i'm asking you some component or code snippet to use to download and "manage" nntp messagges. Thanks in advance and regards!

  • XY-Scatter Chart In SSRS Won't Display Points

    I'm a bit confused with this one. I have a Dataset with a BackupDate and a BackupTime as well as a BackupType. The BackupDate is comprised of 12 characters from the left of a datetime string within a table. The BackupTime is comprised of 8 characters from the right of that same datetime string. So for example: BackupDate would be 'December 12 2008' and the BackupTime would be '12:53PM.' I have added an XY-scatter chart to the report. I've added a 'series' value for the BackupType (so one can distinguish between a Full/Incr/Log backup). I've added a category value of BackupDate and set the Scale for the X-axis from the Min of BackupDate to the Max of BackupDate. I've then added an item to the Values with the Y variable set to BackupTime and the X variable set to BackupDate. The interval for the Y-axis is 12:00AM to 11:59PM and the formatting for the labels is 'hh:mmtt'. The BackupTime matches the format of the Y-axis. The BackupDate matches the format of the X-axis. 10 entries are retrieved by my Dataset and the Legend is properly populated by the BackupType field. No points are being plotted on the graph and no markers/pointers are shown if they are enabled. There should be a point on the graph for every point in time of each day there is a backup of a specific type. Am I missing something? Does anyone know of a good tutorial dealing specifically with XY-scatter graphs and using them in a way I intend? I am using the 2005 version of SSRS rather than the 2008 version.   • Slackware 12 - installed cairo but cannot be seen

    Hi. I wanted to install gtk+ 2.16.5, so i also installed glib, pango and cairo. All seemed to work well, except for cairo. At first I got an error while configuring: Requested 'cairo = 1.6' but version of cairo is 1.4.12 I installed the newest version of cairo without any problems, i rebooted the comp and when i started the configure again the same thing happened and it showed me the same error. I also can see this: Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software in a non-standard prefix. Alternatively, you may set the environment variables BASE_DEPENDENCIES_CFLAGS and BASE_DEPENDENCIES_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man page for more details.   • Specifying a callback in Matlab after any runtime error

    Is there a way to specify code to be run whenever an error occurs in Matlab? Googling I came across RunTimeErrorFcn and daqcallback, but I believe these are specific to the Data Acquisition Toolbox. I want something for when I just trip over a bug, like an access to an unassigned variable. (I use a library called PsychToolbox that takes over the GPU, so I want to be able to clear its screen before returning to the command prompt.)

  • Log Files from bash script output

    I have a script that runs (this works fine). I'd like to produce logfiles from its output and still show it on screen. I have this command that creates three files from this blog: ((./fk.sh 2>&1 1>&3 | tee errors.log) 3>&1 1>&2 | tee output.log) 2>&1 | tee final.log This does exactly what I want it to. My only issue is that I create files in my script and copy them somewhere, and I'd like to copy these logfiles there too, which I can't do whilst this script is running. I also wanted to make it easier for any user to run my script, so I created another script to run this script. According to this post (see last post) I can put a . before the script name and I can use variables assigned in my called script from the first script if I use them in the first. It doesn't seem to work though and I can't figure out why or find alternative methods. Can anyone help?

  • Ctrl+R, Ctrl+R command not working

    I'm attempting to use the Ctrl+R, Ctrl+R command within Visual Studio 2008 to rename a variable. I get an error message at the bottom saying that "The key combination (Ctrl+R, Ctrl+R) is bound to command (&Rename...) which is not currently available." I am not running it or anything I can think of which might prohibit modifications of the file and the F2 command allows a rename to happen. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Are the "modify" operators like +=, |=, &= etc atomic? I know ++ is atomic (if you perform x++; in two different threads "simultaneously", you will always end up with x increased by 2, as opposed to x=x+1 with optimization switched off.) What I wonder is whether variable |= constant, and the likes are thread-safe or do I have to protect them with a mutex? (...or is it CPU-dependent? In this case, how is it on ARM?)

Is it possible to make grails output its compilation errors in this format? Alternatively, is there an emacs variable that can be customized to handle error messages in the format that grails uses?

  • Orange Brightbox and NO-IP.com

    Strange one here i didnt know where to ask, and i know this is a developer resource but i was hoping with everyones tech know how someone may have a solution for my problem. Ok i had an orange livebox before and in the dynamic dns settings it had no-ip.com as a drop down option with login variables to update my account with a dynamic ip address. This worked great for years. However my livebox died and i now have a orange brightbox, and this doesnt have no-ip.com as a login update option for dynamic dns on my router. Does any one have any idea how i can get my domain to point to my home server with a dynamic ip address ideally for free? This is merely for testing and to have a backup server for my main remote server.
