  I have created executable jar but having some problem with Class not found Exception. When I type command: java -jar JarFileName.jar arguments..   Hi, I'm trying to run mxmlc in the following manner. mxmlc -load-config+=mycfg.xml C:\\projects\\src\\main.mxml -output myswf.swf In the config file, I want to keep some values configurable, for example the paths of the external libraries. Is it possible to include a property file into the config file and use it as {property_name} in the config file? Or is it possible to pass certain arguments from the command line itself that will override/replace the corresponding values in the config file, like the -D option in the ant command? Please provide your suggestions.

• Setting up java configurations in eclipse. multiple .param files

  I'm going to be using ECJ for doing genetic programming and I haven't touched java in years. I'm working on setting up the eclipse environment and I'm catching a few snags. The ECJ source has several packages, and several sample programs come along with it. I ran one sample program (called tutorial1) by going to the run configurations and adding -file pathToParamsFile to the program arguments. This made it point to the params file of that tutorial and run that sample. In a new example I am testing (from the package gui) there are TWO params files. I tried pointing to just one param file and a program ran in the console, but there was supposed to be a GUI which did not load. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be greaaatly appreciated.

• How do i launch a process with low priority? C#

  I want to execute a cmd line tool to process data. It does not need to be blocking. I want it to be low priority. So i wrote the below Process app = new Process(); app.StartInfo.FileName = @"bin\convert.exe"; app.StartInfo.Arguments = TheArgs; app.PriorityClass = ProcessPriorityClass.BelowNormal; app.Start(); However i get a System.InvalidOperationException with the msg "No process is associated with this object." Why? how do i properly launch this app in low priority? PS: Without the line app.PriorityClass = ProcessPriorityClass.BelowNormal; the app runs fine.

  Hi guys, I'm looking for a way to do this ... SELECT FirstName, LastName, Split(AddressBlock, ' ', 1), Split(AddressBlock, ' ', 2), PostCode FROM Contacts The arguments I want to pass are ... The address The separator (current situation requires 2 spaces but this might be a comma or a space followed by a comma) or something else (it varies). The address part I want to return (i don't always need all parts of the split result). I seem to be able to find a few examples of splitting functions about the internet but they return a table containing the entire set of split parts. My SQL skills aren't that great so I need the answer to be ultra simple. I'm always working with nvarchar data and the function needs to be reusable.

• Spring bean's DESTROY-METHOD attribute [does not work for me]

  Can get work the attribute "destroy-method". First, even if I type non-existing method name into "destroy-method" attribute, Spring initialization completes fine (already strange!). Next, when a bean has a "prototype" scope, then I suppose it must be destroyed before the application is closed. That not happens, it is simply never called in my case. Though, after extracting this bean I can call this method explicitly and it does its job. Could you explain why this method is never called in my Spring 2.5 case? p.s. The method exists, it is public and has no arguments.

• How to get all paths in drupal install

  Hi, I need to write a module that gives me a page will all possible paths in a drupal install, including orphaned pages. (site map won't work for that). I can query the url_alias table for aliases, and I can query the menu_router table for all paths, even ones set in page/feed displays in views. But, variable paths (those with arguments) get interpreted at run-time. So, is there a way to get all possible paths in a drupal install, including dynamic paths and orphans? It's catch22. I have to know all the urls ahead of time to get them.

• Help needed with Javascript Variable Scope / OOP and Call Back Functions

  I think this issue goes beyond typical variable scope and closure stuff, or maybe I'm an idiot. Here goes anyway... I'm creating a bunch of objects on the fly in a jQuery plugin. The object look something like this function WedgePath(canvas){ this.targetCanvas = canvas; this.label; this.logLabel = function(){ console.log(this.label) } } the jQuery plugin looks something like this (function($) { $.fn.myPlugin = function() { return $(this).each(function() { // Create Wedge Objects for(var i = 1; i <= 30; i++){ var newWedge = new WedgePath(canvas); newWedge.label = "my_wedge_"+i; globalFunction(i, newWedge]); } }); } })(jQuery); So... the plugin creates a bunch of wedgeObjects, then calls 'globalFunction' for each one, passing in the latest WedgePath instance. Global function looks like this. function globalFunction(indicator_id, pWedge){ var targetWedge = pWedge; targetWedge.logLabel(); } What happens next is that the console logs each wedges label correctly. However, I need a bit more complexity inside globalFunction. So it actually looks like this... function globalFunction(indicator_id, pWedge){ var targetWedge = pWedge; someSql = "SELECT * FROM myTable WHERE id = ?"; dbInterface.executeSql(someSql, [indicator_id], function(transaction, result){ targetWedge.logLabel(); }) } There's a lot going on here so i'll explain. I'm using client side database storage (WebSQL i call it). 'dbInterface' an instance of a simple javascript object I created which handles the basics of interacting with a client side database [shown at the end of this question]. the executeSql method takes up to 4 arguments The SQL String an optional arguments array an optional onSuccess handler an optional onError handler (not used in this example) What I need to happen is: When the WebSQL query has completed, it takes some of that data and manipulates some attribute of a particular wedge. But, when I call 'logLabel' on an instance of WedgePath inside the onSuccess handler, I get the label of the very last instance of WedgePath that was created way back in the plugin code. Now I suspect that the problem lies in the var newWedge = new WedgePath(canvas); line. So I tried pushing each newWedge into an array, which I thought would prevent that line from replacing or overwriting the WedgePath instance at every iteration... wedgeArray = []; // Inside the plugin... for(var i = 1; i <= 30; i++){ var newWedge = new WedgePath(canvas); newWedge.label = "my_wedge_"+i; wedgeArray.push(newWedge); } for(var i = 0; i < wedgeArray.length; i++){ wedgeArray[i].logLabel() } But again, I get the last instance of WedgePath to be created. This is driving me nuts. I apologise for the length of the question but I wanted to be as clear as possible. • Find what unknown function does in C using gdb

  Hi, I have a function m(int i, char c) which takes and returns a char between "-abc...xyz" and also takes an integer i. Basically I have no way to see the source code of the function but can call it and get the return value. Using gdb/C, what's the best way to decipher what the function actually does? I've tried looking for patterns using consecutive chars and integer inputs but have come up with nothing yet. • Why would one build supervisord inside of a buildout?

  I've seen buildout recipes that build supervisor into the buildout, I suppose to control the daemons inside. However, it seems to me that one would still need something in /etc/init.d ( for example ) to run said supervisor instance on boot. So, why build supervisor inside the buildout? Why not install it system wide and just make a config file for the daemons involved inside?

• Why do I get Code Analysis CA1062 on an out parameter in this code?

  I have a very simple code (simplified from the original code - so I know it's not a very clever code) that when I compile in Visual Studio 2010 with Code Analysis gives me warning CA1062: Validate arguments of public methods. public class Foo { protected static void Bar(out int[] x) { x = new int[1]; for (int i = 0; i != 1; ++i) x[i] = 1; } } The warning I get: CA1062 : Microsoft.Design : In externally visible method 'Foo.Bar(out int[])', validate local variable '(*x)', which was reassigned from parameter 'x', before using it. I don't understand why do I get this warning and how can I resolve it without suppressing it? Can new return null? Is this a Visual Studio 2010 bug?

• JavaScript Metaprogramming: Reduce boilerplate of adding functions to a function queue

  I'm working with animation in JavaScript, and I have a bunch of functions you can call to add things to the animation queue. Basically, all of these functions look like this: function foo(arg1, arg2) { _eventQueue.push(function() { // actual logic } } I'm wondering now if it would be possible to cut down on this boilerplate a little bit, though, so I don't need that extra "_eventQueue" line in the function body dozens of times. Would it be possible, for example, to make a helper function which takes an arbitrary function as an argument and returns a new function which is augmented to be automatically added to the event queue? The only problem is that I need to find a way to maintain access to the function's original arguments in this process, which is... complicated.

• Mysql adapter for Zend_Translate

  Hi everybody, I'm currently in the planning phase of a rather large project that I'll develop in the Zend Framework. One of the problems I'm facing is that the customers will want to translate not only the content but also the interface. I'm currently using gettext and poedit to manage my language files but this is not an option for the customer as they, for one, want have FTP access to the site. Hence, I'm thinking of a mysql back end with an interface in the front end for the customer to manage his own translations of the interface. There is however still no mysql adapater for Zend_Translate. So, does anybody now of an adapter script for Zend_Translate so it can work with a mysql table? Or any arguments against using mysql and possible other solutions for this problem?

  The Korn shell used to have a very useful option to cd for traversing similar directory structures e.g. given the following directorys /home/sweet/dev/projects/trunk/projecta/app/models /home/andy/dev/projects/trunk/projecta/app/models Then if you were in the /home/sweet.... directory then you could change to the equivalent directory in andy's structure by typing cd sweet andy So if ksh saw 2 arguments then it would scan the current directory path for the first value, replace it with the second and cd there. Is anyone aware of similar functionality in bash. • Multiple actions upon a case statement in Haskell

  One last question for the evening, I'm building the main input function of my Haskell program and I have to check for the args that are brought in so I use args <- getArgs case length args of 0 -> putStrLn "No Arguments, exiting" otherwise -> { other methods here} Is there an intelligent way of setting up other methods, or is it in my best interest to write a function that the other case is thrown to within the main?
