  • How do you take snapshots of an iPhone screen within a C# application?

    I would like to be able to take a snapshot of the screen of an attached iPhone from within a C# application I am writing for Windows, similar to how Xcode's Organizer takes snapshots. I have heard that you can use ITunesMobileDevice.dll to communicate with an attached iPhone, but I don't know how to take snapshots using this library. Does anyone have an idea how to do this?

    I know from reading this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1230457/is-there-a-size-limit-for-ota-android-market-downloads/1232145#1232145 That there wasn't a limit to the size of an application that could be downloaded over the air (OTA) but I wonder if a limit, like that imposed by the Apple App Store (20MB) exists now that the Nexus one is running on AT&T's 3G network as of today.     This questions concerns mostly Unix/Linux style C++ development. I see that many C++ libraries store their header files in a "include" folder and source files in an "src" folder. For the sake of conformance I adopted this in my own code. But it is not clear to me whether this should be done for application code as well. I've seen a few cases where a flat directory structure is used for that. What would be the recommended approach?

  • How do you install/configure JBoss on Linux/Unix?

    I'm currently working on how install and configure multiple (30+) JBoss EAP 5 configurations (both standalone and clusters) for development, test and production at a client's site (running SuSE). I'm not to fancy about the jboss way of storing application/configuration together with system files, so I have tried to split things up (ie moving server config out of the jboss installation directory). I also would like minimize the amount of configuration needed when upgrading/patching jboss - but I'm not done thinking about that... It would be great to hear how you've done and what you think about my approach.   • Making always-on-top windows follow the same MRU order as other windows

    Note: I'm using Windows 7 with the classical alt-tab style, ie the registry key AltTabSettings set to 1. I want to use MRU (most recently used) ordering of windows in the alt-tab list. However, because the windows are ordered in the Z order of the windows rather than actual MRU, this sometimes gives a different order after switching from an always-on-top application. Example: I have applications A, B and C open. A is set to always-on-top while the others aren't. A is focused. I now press alt-tab and application B is focused. I now press alt-tab but instead of application A receiving focus, application C does. Since A has a higher Z order, it's now left of application B, despite being the most recently used, and application C is placed right of B and is the one first getting focus by the cursor. To switch to application A, I need to press shift+alt-tab or cycle through all the other open windows. This is annoying when flicking focus back and forth between an always-on-top application and one that isn't always-on-top. Is there a way to make the alt-tab ordering strictly MRU?
