    Hello everybody, I know that P=NP has not been solved up to now, but can anybody tell me something about the following: What are currently the most promising mathematical / computer scientific methods that could be helpful to tackle this problem? Or are there even none such methods known to be potentially helpful up to now? Is there any (free) compendium on this topic where I can find all / most of the research done in this area?

  • Java: Preventing array going out of bounds.

    I'm working on a game of checkers, if you want to read more about you can view it here; http://minnie.tuhs.org/I2P/Assessment/assig2.html When I am doing my test to see if the player is able to get to a certain square on the grid (i.e. +1 +1, +1 -1 .etc) from it's current location, I get an java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException error.     I have come across a couple of sites in the past where a professional programmer would charge you 50 cents per minute or so to chat with them, one on one, and they would answer any questions you have about your choice of programming language. I've been studying ASP.NET 3.5 for a couple of months now and haven't been able to find a service like this for ASP.NET. Any help? A free live chat room for .NET would be of big help too.

    I found a great control with example here for mvc It fulfills all my requirement but the problem is that it uses a js tree dll. Should I go on and used that example in my application? Do you people refrain from using 3rd party free dll in applications? How will I tell that it will not expire or not cause problem later on Forgive me if this is inappropriate question but thx in advance for any appropiate reply on this topic. just trying to get the point of view of you people on this

  • Memory ReAllocation

    What is the right and best way to reallocate memory? for example I allocate 100 bytes with WinAPI function HeapAlloc then I fill 100 bytes of that memory with some data and now I want to add more new data at end of previous... What Should I do? Make a new allocation with more bytes and then copy old+new to new location and free old memory? Or there is some way to allocate new memory at end of old data and then copy only new data?

  • Mod_rewrite and redirects with training forward slash not working

    I'm using the following lines of code in my .htaccess file to create redirects. The problem is, whenever I go to example.com/register/ it cant find the css files because it's looking for example.com/register/mycss.css instead of example.com/mycss.css. Redirect 301 register.php http://example.com/register RewriteRule ^register/?$ register.php How can I correct this? I'm new to any kind of htaccess/mod_rewrite functions so feel free to point me in the right direction if there are any other flaws.

I was lucky enough to receive free versions of VS 2005 and 2008 from attending various MS events. I am looking for this mainly for performance tweaking and hoping there is a readymade project rather than building from scratch.   • MainMenu with Images

    I have a MainMenu in my app and I would like to have little icons relevant to the Item in each menu. But the MainMenu control does not support this. I would use the MenuStrip control, though that is a pretty ugly option in my opinion. Does anybody have any suggestions? Are there any free/open source alt's out there, or would it be easy/possible to implement that feature into the existing MainMenu control?

  • What is the proper odbc command for calling Oracle stored procedure with parameters from .Net?

    In the case of MSFT SQL Server 08, it is: odbcCommand = new OdbcCommand("{call " + SP_NAME + " (?,?,?,?,?,?,?) }", odbcConn); When I try to do the same thing for Oracle, I get: OdbcException: ERROR [HYC00] [Oracle][ODBC]Optional feature not implemented. Feel free to ask for clarification, and please help. I am using .Net 3.5, SQL Server 08, and Oracle 11g_home1. P.S. The Oracle stored procedure does have some 3 more parameters, but I believe I am handling this in my code.
