  • matplotlib - changing rect colours on the fly

    I am playing with matplotlib - I have a bar chart, and I want to highlight the bar which user clicks. I have a callback that goes through a rect collection (the one I got from self.axis.bar(...)) and finds out which one was clicked (looking at the coordinates). At this point I want to call something to change the colour of the current bar. Is it possible? How do I do that?

  • Is there any way to make gcc print offending lines when it emits an error?

    I have a large codebase that I've been tasked with porting to 64 bits. The code compiles, but it prints a very large amount of incompatible pointer warnings (as is to be expected.) Is there any way I can have gcc print the line on which the error occurs? At this point I'm just using gcc's error messages to try to track down assumptions that need to be modified, and having to look up every one is not fun.

    Im just wondering how i use xmlencoder to serialize ArrayList where foo is my own made class. Do i have to do anything in particular, ie define my own xml structure first and then call toString on each value in my list and write it out?   • Nutch search always returns 0 results

    I have set up nutch 1.0 on a cluster. It has been setup and has successfully crawled, I copied the crawl directory using the dfs -copyToLocal and set the value of searcher.dir in the nutch-site.xml file located in the tomcat directory to point to that directory. Still when I try to search I receive 0 results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

At the moment I'm using Partial Classes with MetaData for adding the annotation (leaving intact the POCO auto generated). My question: Could you point me out a tutorial, or show me an example of code or a link to a T4 template the also include automatic VALIDATION for my POCO? THanks

  • How do I use File.new to find a file from Rails?

    I am trying to read a file that has been saved on the /system folder using Paperclip, for example. But when I use that .url method from Paperclip to read that file using File.new, I get that the file isn't found. The directory is correct, but I still can't access it. What is the right way to find a file for File.new for example? I tried to point to other files, as well, and to no avail.

  • Safari cannot recognise GWT History token

    I my application we sent registration email to customer and sends link in that email which contains url#historytoken. On click of this link customer should go to the page specified by that url for historytoken.We are using GWT so entry point handle the request for historytoken. This works on all browsers except Safari. Safari go to the url but cannot recognise the history token after that and remains on the url page. Please help me solve this problem.

Did you find once you learned the basics,(data structs, OOP fundamentals, discrete math, pointers, recursion, etc) the rest followed naturally or did you hit a wall at any point in your higher classes like OS'es and Compilers?     I have a C# code that basically uploads a file via FTP protocol (using FtpWebRequest). I'd like, however, to first determine whether there is a working internet connection before trying to upload the file (since, if there isn't there is no point in trying, the software should just sleep for a time and check again). Is there an easy way to do it or should I just try to upload the file and in case it failed just try again, assuming the network connection was down?
