  • Is there any gmap's api function to concatenate address string from AddressDetails structure?

    - by Vadim
Hello! I’am using Google Map’s GClientGeocoder for reversing map coordinates into string address. Exactly as shown in google’s example here http://code.google.com/apis/ajax/playground/?exp=maps#geocoding_reverse But, I would like to extract LocalityName (place.AddressDetails.Country.AdministrativeArea.Locality.LocalityName) from place.address. The straight way will be join all AddressDetails elements, excluding LocalityName. However order of the structure elements in final string representation is depends from geographical location. For example: Order for Australia city: ThoroughfareName + “, ” + LocalityName + “ ” + AdministrativeAreaName + “ ” + PostalCodeNumber + “, ” + CountryName Order for Russian city: CountryName + “, ” + PostalCodeNumber + “, ” + LocalityName + “, ” +ThoroughfareName Moreover PostalCodeNumber was not supplied in AddressDetails for the last example. Please, help!

  • how do I register a custom conversion Service in spring 3 / webflow 2?

    - by nont
I've been trying to follow this example and using the reference to guide me, but I'm having no luck. I've defined a converter: import org.springframework.binding.convert.converters.StringToObject; import java.text.DateFormat; import java.text.SimpleDateFormat; import java.text.ParseException; import java.util.Date; public class StringToDateTwoWayConverter extends StringToObject { private DateFormat format = null; public StringToDateTwoWayConverter () { super(StringToDateTwoWayConverter.class); format = new SimpleDateFormat("MM/dd/yyyy"); } @Override protected Object toObject(String string, Class targetClass) throws Exception { Date date = null; try { date = format.parse(string); } catch (ParseException e) { e.printStackTrace(); return null; } return date; } @Override protected String toString(Object object) throws Exception { Date date = (Date) object; return format.format(date); } } and a conversionService: import org.springframework.binding.convert.service.DefaultConversionService; import org.springframework.stereotype.Component; @Component("conversionService") public class ApplicationConversionService extends DefaultConversionService { @Override protected void addDefaultConverters() { super.addDefaultConverters(); this.addConverter(new StringToDateTwoWayConverter()); this.addConverter("shortDate", new StringToDateTwoWayConverter()); } } and configured it: <webflow:flow-builder-services id="flowBuilderServices" conversion-service="conversionService" .../> However, upon startup, I'm greeted with this exception: Caused by: org.springframework.beans.factory.UnsatisfiedDependencyException: Error creating bean with name '(inner bean)': Unsatisfied dependency expressed through constructor argument with index 0 of type [org.springframework.core.convert.ConversionService]: Could not convert constructor argument value of type [com.yadayada.converter.ApplicationConversionService] to required type [org.springframework.core.convert.ConversionService]: Failed to convert value of type 'com.yadayada.converter.ApplicationConversionService' to required type 'org.springframework.core.convert.ConversionService'; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot convert value of type [com.yadayada.converter.ApplicationConversionService] to required type [org.springframework.core.convert.ConversionService]: no matching editors or conversion strategy found at org.springframework.beans.factory.support.ConstructorResolver.createArgumentArray(ConstructorResolver.java:687) at org.springframework.beans.factory.support.ConstructorResolver.autowireConstructor(ConstructorResolver.java:195) at org.springframework.beans.factory.support.AbstractAutowireCapableBeanFactory.autowireConstructor(AbstractAutowireCapableBeanFactory.java:993) at org.springframework.beans.factory.support.AbstractAutowireCapableBeanFactory.createBeanInstance(AbstractAutowireCapableBeanFactory.java:897) at org.springframework.beans.factory.support.AbstractAutowireCapableBeanFactory.doCreateBean(AbstractAutowireCapableBeanFactory.java:485) at org.springframework.beans.factory.support.AbstractAutowireCapableBeanFactory.createBean(AbstractAutowireCapableBeanFactory.java:456) at org.springframework.beans.factory.support.BeanDefinitionValueResolver.resolveInnerBean(BeanDefinitionValueResolver.java:270) ... 60 more I'm thoroughly puzzled why its not working. The conversion service implements ConversionService through its base class, so I don't see the problem. Any insight much appreciated!

  • Mapping JSON data in JQGrid

    - by hunt
Hi , I am using jqGrid 3.6.4 and a jquery 1.4.2 . in my sample i am getting following json data format & i want to map these json data into rows of a jqgrid { "page": "1", "total": 1, "records": "6", "rows": [ { "head": { "student_name": "Mr S. Jack ", "year": 2007 }, "sub": [ { "course_description": "Math ", "date": "22-04-2010", "number": 1, "time_of_add": "2:00", "day": "today" } ] } ] } my jqgrid code is as follows jQuery("#"+subgrid_table_id).jqGrid({ url:"http://localhost/stud/beta/web/GetStud.php?sid="+sid, dtatype: "json", colNames: ['Stud Name','Year','Date'.'Number'], colModel: [ {name:'Stud Name',index:'student_name', width:100, jsonmap:"student_name"}, {name:'Year',index:'year', width:100, jsonmap:"year"}, {name:'Date',index:'date', width:100, jsonmap:"date"}, {name:'Number',index:'number', width:100, jsonmap:"number"} ], height:'100%', jsonReader: { repeatitems : false, root:"head" }, }); So now the problem is as my data i.e. student_name and year is under "head" , the jqgrid is enable to locate these two fields. at the same time other two column values i.e. Date and Number lies under "sub" and even those columns i am not be able to map it with jqgrid so kindly help me how to located these attributes in JQGrid. • How to ignore timezone of DateTime in .NET WCF client?

    - by Net_Dev
WCF client is receiving a Date value from a Java web service where the date sent to the client in XML is : <sampleDate>2010-05-10+14:00</sampleDate> Now the WCF client receiving this date is in timezone (+08:00) and when the client deserialises the Date value it is converted into the following DateTime value : 2010-05-09 18:00 +08:00 However we would like to ignore the +14:00 being sent from the server so that the serialised Date value in the client is : 2010-05-10 Note that the +14:00 is not consistent and may be +10:00, +11:00 etc so it is not possible to use DateTime conversions on the client side to get the desired date value. How can this be easily achieved in WCF? Thanks in advance.

  • jQuery - datepicker - onblur

    - by d3020
I'm using the jQuery datepicker where I have two textboxes (start date / end date). The user clicks in a respective textbox and the calendar shows up. That is OK. What I need to do is when the user say, clicks in the start date textbox and picks a date. I need an onblur event to be triggered then. Where do I set that onblur event for the calendar control after a date has been selected? I tried in the actual textbox but that's not right because that happens before an actual date is picked from the calendar control.

  • What is the best way to remove accents in a python unicode string?

    - by MiniQuark
I have a unicode string in python, and I would like to remove all the accents (diacritics). I found on the Web an elegant way to do this in Java: convert the unicode string to its long normalized form (with a separate character for letters and diacritics) remove all the characters whose unicode type is "diacritic". Do I need to install a library such as pyICU or is this possible with just the python standard library? And what about in python 3.0? Important note: I would like to avoid code with an explicit mapping from accented characters to their non-accented counterpart. Thanks for your help.

  • [PHP] Sanitizing strings to make them URL and filename safe?

    - by Xeoncross
I am trying to come up with a function that does a good job of sanitizing certain strings so that they are safe to use in the URL (like a post slug) and also safe to use as file names. For example, when someone uploads a file I want to make sure that I remove all dangerous characters from the name. So far I have come up with the following function which I hope solves this problem and also allows foreign UTF-8 data also. /** * Convert a string to the file/URL safe "slug" form * * @param string $string the string to clean * @param bool $is_filename TRUE will allow additional filename characters * @return string */ function sanitize($string = '', $is_filename = FALSE) { // Replace all weird characters with dashes preg_replace('/[^\w\-'. ($is_filename ? '*~_\.' : ''). ']+/u', '-', $string); // Only allow one dash separator at a time (and make string lowercase) return mb_strtolower(preg_replace('/--+/u', '-', $string), 'UTF-8'); } Does anyone have any tricky sample data I can run against this - or know of a better way to safeguard our apps from bad names?

  • Silverlight 4 - authentiation / authorization against custom wcf service

    - by Calanus
I have a wcf service in front of an AzMan store that passes roles and operations to clients using the following interface: [OperationContract] bool AuthenticateUser(string password, string appName); [OperationContract] string[] GetRoles(string storelocation, string appName); [OperationContract] string[] GetOperations(string storeLocation, string appName, string selectedRole); Clients connect to this service using windows authentication (but users must send their password through to reaffirm their identity). Ultimately the service delivers an array of operations that each client can perform based on their selected role. I've opened a new Silverlight Business Application and tried to understand how authentication/authorization works in this template, as well as scoured the web to find examples to how to hook my webservice to the login box already created in the template, but I am completely at a loss as how to do this! Can anyone offer any advice?

  • Fluent NHibernate OptimisticLock.None() causes "The string 'none' is not a valid Boolean value."

    - by David Thomas Garcia
I'm using the following mapping: public class LoadMap : IAutoMappingOverride<Load> { public void Override(AutoMapping<Load> mapping) { mapping.HasMany(x => x.Bids).OptimisticLock.None(); mapping.Version(x => x.Version); } } But when I try to create the session I get the following exception: [FormatException: The string 'none' is not a valid Boolean value.] [XmlSchemaValidationException: The 'optimistic-lock' attribute is invalid - The value 'none' is invalid according to its datatype 'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:boolean' - The string 'none' is not a valid Boolean value.] I'm using NHibernate 2.1.2.4000 and I was using Fluent NHibernate 1.0RTM, but tried the latest build 636 just to be sure this isn't something that was fixed recently or something. As a side note, in case I'm doing this all wrong, I would like to be able to make changes to the .Bids list without incrementing Version. I saw an example on Ayende's blog that did what I wanted with properties.

  • One pass multiple whitespace replace to single whitespace and eliminate leading and trailing whitesp

Do you think this is an efficient one pass solution ??

  • Please help me correct the small bugs in this image editor

    - by Alex
Hi, I'm working on a website that will sell hand made jewelry and I'm finishing the image editor, but it's not behaving quite right. Basically, the user uploads an image which will be saved as a source and then it will be resized to fit the user's screen and saved as a temp. The user will then go to a screen that will allow them to crop the image and then save it to it's final versions. All of that works fine, except, the final versions have 3 bugs. First is some black horizontal line on the very bottom of the image. Second is an outline of sorts that follows the edges. I thought it was because I was reducing the quality, but even at 100% it still shows up... And lastly, I've noticed that the cropped image is always a couple of pixels lower than what I'm specifying... Anyway, I'm hoping someone whose got experience in editing images with C# can maybe take a look at the code and see where I might be going off the right path. Oh, by the way, this in an ASP.NET MVC application. Here's the code: using System; using System.Drawing; using System.Drawing.Drawing2D; using System.Drawing.Imaging; using System.IO; using System.Linq; using System.Web; namespace Website.Models.Providers { public class ImageProvider { private readonly ProductProvider ProductProvider = null; • Python 3: timestamp to datetime: where does this additional hour come from?

Where is this additional hour coming from?

  • How can I use jQuery to match a string inside the current URL of the window I am in?

    - by Jannis
Hi, I have used the excellent gskinner.com/RegExr/ tool to test my string matching regex but I cannot figure out how to implement this into my jQuery file to return true or false. The code I have is as follows: ^(http:)\/\/(.+\.)?(stackoverflow)\. on a url such as http://stackoverflow.com/questions/ask this would match (according to RegExr) http://stackoverflow. So this is great because I want to try matching the current window.location to that string, but the issue I am having is that this jQuery/js script does not work: var url = window.location; if ( url.match( /^(http:)\/\/(.+\.)?(stackoverflow)\./ ) ) { alert('this works'); }; Any ideas on what I am doing wrong here? Thanks for reading. Jannis

  • Why can I not register a PropertyEditor for String in Spring MVC?

    - by Tom Tucker
I'm using Spring 3.0.3. I've enabled the default ConversionService by adding this line to my Spring configuration XML. <mvc:annotation-driven/> I'm also using custom PropertyEditor's for certain data types, so I've registered them for corresponding data types like the following and they work fine. webDataBinder.registerCustomEditor(Date.class, new MyPropertyEditor()); I have a custom tag library that extends Spring's Form tag library, and I can acess these PropertyEditor's through getPropertyEditor() of AbstractDataBoundFormElementTag. What I don't understand is that I can't register a custom PropertyEditor for String for some reason. The following wouldn't work. webDataBinder.registerCustomEditor(String.class, new MyPropertyEditor()); When I do getPropertyEditor(), it always returns a ConvertingPropertyEditorAdapter, instead of MyPropertyEditor. Is this a bug? EDIT: I realized that I didn't do some stuff right. Spring works just fine.

OK so for background I've only been using Java for a little more than a week and I am making a basic GUI "Recipe Book" application just to test out some of the techniques I've learned. Currently I'm working on the "Add New Recipe" page that allows the user to make a new recipe by adding ingredients one at a time. The ingredients have 3 attributes: Name, amount, and unit (like cups, oz, etc) that come from two text fields and a combo box respectively. The 3 values are stores as strings to a String array that represents the ingredient, then the arrays are stored in a vector that holds all of the ingredients for one recipe. When an ingredient is added, the user first types in the 3 necessary values into empty boxes/combo box dropdown and then clicks "Add Ingredient". Here is my code for when the button is clicked: public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent event) { Object source = event.getSource(); if (source == addIngredientButton) { //make sure 3 ingredient fields are not blank if (!ingredientNameField.getText().equals("") && !ingredientAmountField.getText().equals("") && !ingredientUnitDropdown.getSelectedItem().equals("")) { tempIngredientsArray[0] = ingredientNameField.getText(); //set ingredient name to first position in array tempIngredientsArray[1] = ingredientAmountField.getText(); //set ingredient amount to second position in array tempIngredientsArray[2] = (String) ingredientUnitDropdown.getSelectedItem(); //set ingredient unit to third position in array int ingredientsVectorSize = tempRecipe.ingredientsVector.size(); tempRecipe.ingredientsVector.add(this.tempIngredientsArray); //why would it matter if this and previous statement were switched for (int k = 0; k < ingredientsVectorSize + 1; k++ ) { liveIngredientsListArea.append("\n" + tempRecipe.makeIngredientSentence(k)); System.out.println(Arrays.toString(tempIngredientsArray)); //shows that tempIngredientsArray gets messed up each time } } Now here's the really strange problem I've been having. The first time the user adds an ingredient everything works fine. The second time, the String[] for that ingredient seems to be duplicated, and the third time it's triplicated. Aka the first time it runs the System.out.println might return "{Sugar, 3, Cups}" and the second time it will return "{Flour, 2, Oz.} {Flour, 2, Oz.}" etc. What's causing this strange problem? All help greatly appreciated, let me know if you need any clarification.

  • Interpolation of time series data in R

    - by Pierreten
I'm not sure what i'm missing here, but i'm basically trying to compute interpolated values for a time series; when I directly plot the series, constraining the interpolation points with "interpolation.date.vector", the plot is correct: plot(date.vector,fact.vector,ylab='Quantity') lines(spline(date.vector,fact.vector,xout=interpolation.date.vector)) When I compute the interpolation, store it in an intermediate variable, and then plot the results; I get a radically incorrect result: intepolated.values <- spline(date.vector,fact.vector,xout=interpolation.date.vector) plot(intepolated.values$x,intepolated.values$y) lines(testinterp$x,testinterp$y) Doesn't the lines() function have to execute the spline() function to retrieve the interpolated points in the same way i'm doing it?

  • Can someone explain me implicit parameters in Scala?

    - by Oscar Reyes
And more specifically how does the BigInt works for convert int to BigInt? In the source code it reads: ... implicit def int2bigInt(i: Int): BigInt = apply(i) ... How is this code invoked? I can understand how this other sample: "Date literals" works. In. val christmas = 24 Dec 2010 Defined by: implicit def dateLiterals(date: Int) = new { import java.util.Date def Dec(year: Int) = new Date(year, 11, date) } When int get's passed the message Dec with an int as parameter, the system looks for another method that can handle the request, in this case Dec(year:Int) Q1. Am I right in my understanding of Date literals? Q2. How does it apply to BigInt? Thanks

  • how i got the name of the string variable in the strange attempt to debug unknown variable ?

    - by justjoe
    i got several variable. One is variable string, object, and array. $mystring = "hello im input"; $myobject = new userclass; $myarray = array ( 0 = 'zero', 1 = "one"); i want to create a new array with its variable name as key before send it to as function parameter with it's first line use extract function. the multi_array will be like this multi_array = array ( 'mystring' = "hello im input", 'myobject' = new userclass, 'myarray' = array ( 0 = 'zero', 1 = "one") ) i use key to get the name of array and getclass to get the name of object. But how i got the name of the string variable ? function i_do_extract($multi_array) { extract($multi_array); // Do Rest }

  • Programmatically forward-lock an Android APK

    - by String
Doing a bit of advance research, and am stuck on the point summarized in the title. Namely, is there any way to forward-lock an APK installed programmatically, from another app? I've not come across anything beyond a hint in the following post: http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/msg/e39941389d4a4cf8 I can't see anything in the docs for PackageManager about forward- locking, but I readily confess that this is an unfamiliar area of the SDK for me. • .NET: Preserving some, but not all query params during redirect

    - by kasper pedersen
Hi all, Could someone tell me if the code below would achieve what I want, which is: Check if the query parameters 'return_path' and/or 'user_state' are present in the query string, and if so append them to the query string of the redirect URI. As I'm not a .NET dev and don't have a server to test this on, I was hoping someone could give me some feedback. ArrayList vars = new ArrayList(); vars.Add("return_path"); vars.Add("user_state"); string newUrl = "/new/request/uri" + "?"; ArrayList params = new ArrayList(); foreach ( string key in Request.QueryString ) { if (vars.contains(key)) { params.Add(key + "=" + HttpUtility.URLPathEncode(Request.QueryString[key])); } } String[] paramArr = (String[]) params.ToArray( typeof (string) ); String queryString = String.join("&", paramArr); Response.Redirect(newUrl); Thank you :)
