    I did following: create or replace type my_row as object ( lname varchar2(30), fname varchar2(30), MI char(1), hohSSN char (9), hohname VARCHAR2(63), hohDob char(10), dob DATE ); create or replace type eiv.my_rec as table of eiv.my_row; but then doing query like: my_records my_rec select '', '', '', '', '', '', sysdate bulk collect into my_records from dual; gives error ORA-00947: not enough values what can i be doing wrong here?

It looks like feed parser strips out the yweather namespace data: http://weather.yahooapis.com/forecastrss?w=24260013&u=c <yweather:condition text="Fair" code="34" temp="23" date="Wed, 19 May 2010 5:55 pm EDT" /> looks like feedparser is completely ignoring that. is there away to get it?

    I recently played with MongoDB in Rails using Mongoid. I like the ability to define attributes for models within the model file (as opposed to in migrations): class Person include Mongoid::Document field :name, :type => String field :birthday, :type => Date end For projects that cannot use a schema-less database, does a similar feature exist? Any gems or plugins that generate schemas from a similar syntax would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The question asks for a T-SQL solution that will return the count of products not sold, per store, per day over the past month.     I am looking for a portable way to implement lazy evaluation in C++ for logging class. Let's say that I have a simple logging function like void syslog(int priority, const char *format, ...); then in syslog() function we can do: if (priority < current_priority) return; so we never actually call the formatting function (sprintf). On the other hand, if we use logging stream like log << LOG_NOTICE << "test " << 123; all the formating is always executed, which may take a lot of time. Is there any possibility to actually use all the goodies of ostream (like custom << operator for classes, type safety, elegant syntax...) in a way that the formating is executed AFTER the logging level is checked ?

    I work in a bizarre and irrational industry where we need to be able to represent the time of day as 06:00:00 to 30:00:00 instead of 0:00:00 to 24:00:00. Is there any way to do this using the DateTime type? If I try to construct a date time with an hour value greater than 24 it throws an exception.

  • Testing + production server and syncing MySQL data

    I have a web application running on LAMP with a testing server and a production server. Is there a standard practice for keeping the data on the testing server in sync with the production server? The data on the testing server gets out of date pretty quick and I feel like there must be an easier way than just dumping the production server and copying it onto the testing server every so often. It's not important that the data is in total sync, just that the testing server represents the production enviornment as accurately as possible.

    I use bash on mac and one of the aliases is like this alias gitlog='git --no-pager log -n 20 --pretty=format:%h%x09%an%x09%ad%x09%s --date=short --no-merges' However when I do :! gitlog I get /bin/bash: gitlog: command not found I know I can add aliases like this in my .gitconfig [alias] co = checkout st = status ci = commit br = branch df = diff However I don't want to add all my bash aliases to .gitconfig. That is not DRY. Is there a better solution?
