Is there a library for editing program flow?

Hello, I was wondering if there is a library for editing program flow. I refer to conditions if, loops (do, while, for) and other elements that can exist inside a program. What I would like to have is some sort of a CAD application (similar to an UML editor) from where I can take some elements and edit their properties, make connections between them. Do you know similar software that does this, or resembles a little what I'm trying to achieve? Thanks, Iulian PS: It is something that should resemble this image. PS2: I want to write code for doing this, I was wondering if such things exist.

[WPF] selected item in listbox unreadable because of the color !

I dynamically create a collection of stackpanels in my listbox. In this stackpanel are contained labels and checkbox horizontally aligned. The problem is when I click on a stackpanel, the selection is unreadable because the line become dark-blue whereas the letters stay black so black on blue, you see nothing... how can I dynamically change the forecolor of the selected elements in the stackpanel ? I say dynamically and not in the xml file, because all those elements are dynamically created, base on a database... thanksssss!!

WPF toolbar disappearing on resize

On my main form I have a toolbar with a number of buttons. Once the parent form is resized down by dragging it so that the entire toolbar with all its buttons no longer fits in the width of the window, the whole toolbar disappears. Is there a way I can make it so that as you resize it, when you get to the width of the toolbar the inner controls of the form stop resizing and stay displayed, just cut off where the window has resized to? Is it possible to have a JPanel over JTable

Hello, I have a JTable whose associated TableModel could be initially empty. Therefore, it currently shows a JTable with its columns and no rows. In order to fill this JTable, I want the user to drag and drop elements from another component. The problem is that I would like to hint the user that he/she should drag elements to this table, with some message like "Drag xxx here to add a row". I thought that I could achieve this by putting a panel over the JTable , but I don't think it is possible with any java layout. Does anyone know how to do this? Or should I stick to a CardLayout to switch to/from the hint and the JTable? Thanks a lot

Using jQuery and AJAX works for all functions except one, really bizarre issue (from my perspective)

I am working on a classic asp form that has a number of dropdowns. Three of these are cascading, i.e. they rely in the previous dropdown. For almost everything this code works fine, one of them however is not playing nice. To start off I have a script tag with the following in it: $(document).ready(function () { $("#AcademicLevel").change(getList); $("#CourseDeliveryTime").change(updateLocation); $("#ProgramType").change(updateEntryTerm); }); This works just fine for the first two elements of the form, AcademicLevel and CourseDeliveryTime, the third however does not take effect however. If the function it is pointing to, updateEntryTerm, has an alert() call in it, it works. If the alert is commented out, it does not work. How does NHibernate handle cascade="all-delete-orphan"?

I've been digging around the NHibernate sources a little, trying to understand how NHibernate implements removing child elements from a collection. I think I've already found the answer, but I'd ideally like this to be confirmed by someone familiar with the matter. So far I've found AbstractPersistentCollection (base class for all collection proxies) has a static helper method called GetOrphans to find orphans by comparing the current collection with a snapshot. The existence of this method suggests NHibernate tries to find all oprhaned elements and then deletes them by key. Is this correct, in terms of the generated SQL?

JSON - msg.d is undefined error

Hi - Webmethod returns an array of objects - something like this {"d": [[{"Amount":100,"Name":"StackOverflow"}, {"Amount":200,"Name":"Badges"}, {"Amount":300,"Name":"Questions"}]]} On the client-side, when the JSON is referenced using msg.d, I get a msg.d is undefined error. I am using jQuery JavaScript Library v1.4.2 How do I access the elements in the array of objects? Adding more findings, code and questions: I don't see __type in the JSON object that is returned. Does that mean that the object sent from the server is not JSON formatted? When the __type is not a part of the response, I will not be able to use msg.d? (msg.d is undefined) Some more: 1. I can access the elements from client side using msg[0][0].Amount - How can I specifically JSON format my return object (from the server)

Zend Framework - validators are not working anymore?

UIView Subview Does not autoresize on orientation change

In my iPhone app, I have a view controller with two views (essentially, a front & back view). The front view is the main UIView, and the back view is a secondary UIView which is added as a subview using [self.view addSubview:backView] when showing the back and [backView removeFromSuperview] when hiding it. However, when the orientation changes, I have the following issue: the main UIView (frontView) rotates & all of its elements resize properly, but the secondary/subview UIView (backView) does not rotate & all of its elements do not resize properly. Does anyone have suggestions on how to make the secondary UIView autoresize properly according to the rules I have set in Interface Builder?

What is the best way to post data from web browser to server?

Hi, I want to know what is the best way to send data from web browser to server using post method. I've seen a practice where they wrap all the elements data in XML, convert it into Base64 string and then post it to the server (via Ajax or hidden field). this way will not work if the Javascript is disabled, any how if I ignored this. is it a good practice to wrap elements into XML (or create my custom wrapper in general) and post them to server saying it will enhance the maintainability of the code or just stick with the classical way and no need to add unnecessary text in the post.

CharField values disappearing after save (readonly field)

I'm implementing simple "grade book" application where the teacher would be able to update the grades w/o being allowed to change the students' names (at least not on the update grade page). To do this I'm using one of the read-only tricks, the simplest one. The problem is that after the SUBMIT the view is re-displayed with 'blank' values for the students. I'd like the students' names to re-appear. Below is the simplest example that exhibits this problem. (This is poor DB design, I know, I've extracted just the relevant parts of the code to showcase the problem. how to insert multiple rows using cakephp

In the cakePHP project I'm building, I want to insert a defined number of identical records. These will serve as placeholders records that will have additional data added later. Each record will insert the IDs taken from two belongs_to relationships as well as two other string values. What I want to do is be able to enter a value for the number of records I want created, which would equate to how many times the data is looped during save. What I don't know is: 1) how to setup a loop to handle a set number of inserts 2) how to define a form field in cakePHP that only sets the number of records to create. What I've tried is the following: function massAdd() { $inserts_required = 1; while ($inserts_required <= 10) { $this->Match->create(); $this->Match->save($this->data); echo $inserts_required++; } $brackets = $this->Match->Bracket->find('list'); $this->set(compact('brackets')); } What happens is: 1) at the top of the screen, above the doc type, the string 12345678910 is displayed, this is displayed on screen 2) a total of 11 records are created, and only the last record has the values passed in the form. I don't know why 11 records as opposed to 10 are created, and why only the last records has the entered form data? As always, your help and direction is appreciated. -Paul

I have a page in which i can successfully use the jquery focus function using live... $(".comment_text_class").live('focus', function() { //do something... }); but when something comes into the page(ajax loading) the focus function doesn't work as should be using the live function... as suggested i used focusin function.. $(".comment_text_class").live('focusin', function() { //do something... }); but still new elements do not have the behavior... also i want to hide something using the live function but it doesn't work at all.. even for the elements in the page itself... $(".comment_button").live('hide', function(){}); is the focus and hide function implemented at all by jquery 1.4.2 or is it a bug... because the live focus was not working with jquery 1.4 version... Handling xml files with different structures and different names

I have a method and I want different users to pass me xml files. These files will have different names for the elements I am looking for and the elements I am looking for maybe at different structures. My first impression was that we should just tell them to pass in the xml in a standard format. However this is how they have their data and they insist that it is much easier if they don't have to convert it. What can I do to take in data of all types? Unable to display wap version during "Extended permission"

Hi, Im trying to redirect to facebook to request permission to publish stream. However, it only works when i did not specify any display parameters, it shows me a web version of it. I wanted a wap version instead. What should I do? Use $_FILES on a page called by .ajax

I have two .php pages that I'm working with. Index.php has a file upload form that posts back to index.php. I can access the $_FILES no problem on index.php after submitting the form. My issue is that I want (after the form submit and the page loads) to use .ajax (jQuery) to call another .php file so that file can open and process some of the rows and return the results to ajax. The ajax then displays the results and recursively calls itself to process the next batch of rows. Basically I want to process (put in the DB etc) the csv in chunks and display it for the user in between chunks. Im doing it this way because the files are 400,000+ rows and the user doesnt want to wait the 10+ min for them all to be processed. I dont want to move this file (save it) because I just need to process it and throw it away and if a user closes the page while its processing the file wont be thrown away. I could cron script it but I dont want to. What I would really like to do is pass the (single) $_FILES through .ajax OR Save it in a $_POST or $_SESSION to use on the second page. Is there any hope for my cause? Why can't I use the return from an insertAfter as a regular jQuery object?

I'm trying to insert a link after form elements to clear them. This demo code with headings doesn't work: h2 = $('h2'); clickytest = $('click me').insertAfter(h2).click(function() { $(this).append('foo'); }); But this does: clickytest = $('click me').insertAfter(h2); $('a.clicky').click(function() { $(this).append('foo'); }); The only difference is I've gone back and re-selected the new elements, rather than use what insertAfter returns. If on the other hand there is only one H2 in the whole document, then the first version works. What's going on? I've tried playing with each() but I'm not sure exactly what jQuery is doing here.
