  • Jquery Dropdown Quick hovering problem

    Hello, I have created a drop down with JQuery that can be seen here by clicking the Preview button on top: http://jsbin.com/ubire3/edit It works fine except for one problem. When i hover over the main hover links (blue ones) quickly eg going horizontally quickly hovering each top menu, the submenus don't close. How do i make it so that even if i hover fast over them all other submenus are closed? Thanks

    Hello gals/guys, I am trying to use a custom configuration file instead of the default config.js file in the ckeditor root. I have placed a renamed copy of the config.js file in my webroot and call it with customConfig. It is not working for me though. Is my syntax creating any issues? While it blocks the browser during the active request, what is the most efficient way to change the cursor to the hourglass or display a wait .gif?     Hi everyone, do u have an idea of how to send my radio button name for myAjaxPostrequest.send(parameters); can parameters be like this: var answername=document.getElementById('option1').name; var parameters=answername; ? this code is for using ajax to post a form and my php page needs the name of the radiobutton clicked I tried this code and it works as I want except for inserting in the database. It means parameters is the problem what I want to insert is the number located between brakects of the radiobutton name.   • Set z-index with javascript setTimeout()

    What I'm trying to do is to have 4 expandable divs overlapping each other with transition set in css for 0.6s. Because the expanding lasts for 0.6s I'd like to have the expanded div lose it's higher z-index after it's done collapsing, otherwise it looks silly. However, it doesn't work, the z-index remains unchanged. It's probably somethings stupid, but I just can't find it.     On the following website, www.josecvega.com, I have a navigation bar with years that link to sections on that same page. Unfortunately it is not working they way I hoped, when the user selects a year it moves to the section of the page, but puts that section on the top of the page. I have a fixed div on the top of the page that covers the sections and prevents it from properly displaying. What can I do for this to work?   • How to access a website's url programmatically from within the page

    For work, I am working on a site that has a feature that lets users make custom instances of the site depending on who they want to show it to. So if they want to show their potential employer a little bit about themselves, they can send them a custom url, that has a uid on the end of it that tells the database what to show and what not to when the site is loaded up. Now, I need to be able to take the value that is on the end of the url, this unique uid that corresponds with their preferences in the db, accessable on run time. Meaning that when someone types in this custom url, I need to be able to show the name of the person whose portfolio is being viewed BEFORE password authentication takes place... If I could get the URL, I suppose I could parse through it to find the necessary UID...but how do I get the url? Maybe I am just missing something here, but if anyone has any thoughts or ideas, it would be appreciated!! Thanks
