  • expand div when use clicks in text box?

    I'd like to have a div expand to show contents when a user clicks their mouse in a text box to enter text. I haven't seen that around anywhere before. I know how to make things expand onClick, but can someone point me to what I'm looking for? Basically, I have an email signup box that I just want to show the input field for the email address, but if the user actually decided to get on the email list, that div will expand to also ask them for their name and zipcode.   • Custom Message Box: Windows' "Move Cursor to Default Button" Feature

    In Microsoft Windows, there is a (highly useful) feature that automatically moves the cursor to the default button of a modal dialog box (activated in Win+R, "control mouse"). Now I have created a custom dialog box in Delphi (basically a TForm), see below. But, quite naturally, the cursor does not automatically move to the default button ("Yes" in this case), even though the feature is turned on in "control mouse". How to implement this feature using Windows API? I guess it would be sufficient to obtain the settings as a boolean (true if feature activated, false if not), and then simply move the cursor programmatically using SetCursorPos if true. But how to obtain this setting?

  • CSS: Why won't this box get wider?

    I just need a sanity check here... DEMO Basically, I can't figure out how to get the box under the link to get wider as more content is added. It seems fixed to the width of the parent div (or the width of, say, the longest element like the select or a really long word with no spaces), despite being absolutely positioned. I use this trick all the time with ul and li but it doesn't make sense to use that in my situation, and for some crazy reason it just won't work with a div inside a div. I don't want to set a width (which, of course, works) because I don't always know what will be in this box. GRR Thanks :\

  • Set Focus After Last Character in Text Box

    I have 3 text boxes for a phone number. As the user types, it automatically moves from one textbox to the next. When the user presses backspace, I can move focus to the previous text box. The problem is that in IE, focus is set to the beginning of the text box.   • Confirmation box pops up more than once using ajax

    I'm using Ajax to delete records and display an animated message (function display_message) when this record is deleted, but I noticed that the confirmation box pops up depending on the number of records. for example if I have 2 records in my list and I want to delete on of them.The confirmation box pops up twice before deleting and the same thing happen with the message, It appears twice(I'm using a message that fade in and out), and so on(3 records - 3 pops up, etc). I tried a lot to resolve it but I haven't succeed .   • jquery fancy box

    Hi, i'm using fancy box for some content editing in my backoffice. I recently added an image manager wich i create with javascript. It's kind of like a fancybox, but i had to do it from scractch for it to be able to overlay the first one. My problem is this: I want to have the user being able to press the escape key to close my manager, but if i use $(window).keypress when i press the esc key, both the boxes close. I have tried $(window).unbind('keypress') when i start loading my box, and i have tried to look through the fancybox js file, but it is minimized. Does anyone know how i can disable and afterwards enable the escape key (during runtime) on the fancybox? Thanx

There is already a different submit button on my current page, so I can't simply make the button a submit button.     The convention of some journals is to show only the x and y axis in a plot not a box around the entire plot area. How can I achieve this in ggplot2?     Consider the following jsfiddle for reference: http://jsfiddle.net/apmmw2ma/ As you can see, the “inner” box (with the red border) is positioned relative to the outer’s padding-box: left:0 positions it just to the right of outer’s border, and top:100% appears to mean “100% of the content plus padding, but not the border”. Unfortunately, adding box-sizing: border-box to the outer div seems to have no effect. I want to position a child element directly below its parent’s border-box, i.e. the two borders should abut no matter how thick they are. Is this possible?

  • Get text when enter is pressed in a text box in wxPython

    I have a (single line) TextCtrl. The user types data into this. When they press enter, the contents of the box need to be extracted so they can be processed. I can't figure out how to catch enter being pressed. According to the docs, with the style wx.TE_PROCESS_ENTER set on my TextCtrl, it should generate a wx.EVT_COMMAND_TEXT_ENTER event when enter is pressed in the box, which I could then catch. However, wx.EVT_COMMAND_TEXT_ENTER seems not to exist (I get "module has no attribute EVT_COMMAND_TEXT_ENTER), so I'm a bit stuck. Googling just gets a couple of hits of people complaining wx.EVT_COMMAND_TEXT_ENTER doesn't work, so I guess I need another way of doing it.
