  • ASP.NET reading files from BIN

    I am processing some CSV file which i have copied in Bin folder of My ASP.NET Website. When i execute using (IDataReader csv = new CsvReader (new StreamReader("sample.txt"), true, '|')) { ..... } it complains me that "sample.txt" not found in "c:\Program Files\.....\" Won't the runtime automatically look into the bin folder? what modification do i need to do?

  • Python sock.listen(...)

    All the examples I've seen of sock.listen(5) in the python documentation suggest I should set the max backlog number to be 5. This is causing a problem for my app since I'm expecting some very high volume (many concurrent connections). I set it to 200 and haven't seen any problems on my system, but was wondering how high I can set it before it causes problems.. Anyone know?

    I am writing a simple multithreaded socketserver and I am wondering how best to handle incoming connections: create a new thread for each new connection. The number of concurrent threads would be limited and waiting connections limited by specifying a backlog add all incoming connections into a queue and have a pool of worker threads that process the queue I am inclined to go for option 2 because I really don't want to refuse any connections, even under high loads, but I am wondering if there are any considerations I should be aware of with accepting effectively unlimited connections?

    Are there any practical ways to tell what part of the DOM was modified if you know that it will be modified? I am writing a plugin that will be running along with javascript that i did not write. an event will be triggered before DOM is modified, and one event will be triggered after the modification. It is my job to decide what was changed. is this possible, and if so what is the least horrible way to do this?

    Hi, I can now if a session contain any changes which must be synchronized with the database with session.isDirty() But i have a simple field (modification date) that i would like to be ignore by it. Example: object Person( name,age,datemodification). if i just modify the datemodification field i would like that session.isDirty() or othermethod like this to return false so at the end no sql update will occur. I thought i had to configure the remote authentication if i access the JMX server remotely from a different machine. By remote access do they mean accessing the JMX server from any VM either locally or remotely?

But with the options, the thred count increases gradually (even in the burst mode). The machine where SOAPUI is installed is a WinXP machine. Can I actually do the concurrency testing? If so how? I'd like to say "give me all the files in this folder (or subfolder) that were modified after X/Y/ZZZZ" and dump those files to a folder other than the folder they would normally go to. I know enough powershell to hack about and get this done, eventually, but I'm hoping to avoid that.

The paper is a comparative study of Event based and thread based highly concurrent servers and finally concludes stating that Threads are better than events in that scenario. I find that I am not able to classify what sort of concurrency model erlang exposes. Erlang provides Light Weight Processes, but those processes are suspended most of the time until it has received some event/message of some sort. /Arun
