  • Not getting correct time from UniversalDateTime

    I send a vcal through mail in web application with convert datetime to universal datetime. If i run web application locally (local sevser in India) i get correct time in my vcal.     Hey, I would like to create a SDP media field with its attributes, and there are a few things I don't understand. I've skimmed and read the relevant RFC and I understand most of what each field means, but what I don't understand is how do I derive from the Audio/Video Format of the JMF, which parameters of the format compose the rtpmap registry entries I need to use. I see many times the fields m=audio 12548 RTP/AVP 0 8 101 a=rtpmap:0 PCMU/8000 a=rtpmap:8 PCMA/8000 a=rtpmap:101 telephone-event/8000 a=fmtp:101 0-16 a=silenceSupp:off - - - - a=ptime:20 a=sendrecv these are received from the pbx server I'm connecting to, what do they mean in the terms of the JMF audio format properties. (I do understand these are standard audio format commonly used in telecommunication) UPDATE: I was more wondering about the format parameter '0 8 101' at the end of m=audio 12548 RTP/AVP 0 8 101 Thanks in advance, Adam Zehavi.

    Given I have a birthday/anniversary DateTime, how can I determine if that date occurred during a specific date range? For example, Birthday = 1/2/2000 Date Range = 12/25/2008 - 1/3/2009 I need a method to determine whether or not this person's birthday happened during that date range - preferably in C#. I first went about changing the year of the birthday DateTime to match the date range, then just check if the "new" birthday DateTime is between the start and end date of the date range... but when the date range spans different years, like in my example above - I had to add a nasty if statement. Is there no better way?

    I am trying to format an external hard disk to FAT32 (i need it to wrok with some hardware that expects it to be in fat32). When i am trying to format it vie windows the only option I'm getting is to format it to NTFS. Another strange thing is that when i am trying to format one of my own partitions (on the hard disk that is running the OS) i can do it only in NTFS while another partition my OS can format in both NTFS and FAT32. What can cause such a bihavior and how can I format the external hard dist to FAT32?

  • Is there a standard format string in ASP.NET to convert 1/2/3/... to 1st/2nd/3rd...?

    I have an integer in an Access database, which is being displayed in ASP.NET. The integer represents the position achieved by a competitor in a sporting event (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.), and I'd like to display it with a standard suffix like 'st', 'nd', 'rd' as appropriate, rather than just a naked number. An important limitation is that this is for an assignment which specifies that no VB or C# code be written (in fact it instructs code behind files to be deleted entirely). Ideally I'd like to use a standard format string if available, otherwise perhaps a custom string (I haven't worked with format strings much, and this isn't high enough priority to dedicate significant time to*, but I am very curious about whether there's a standard string for this). (* The assignment is due tonight, and I've learned the hard way that I can't afford to spend time on things that don't get the marks, even if they irk me significantly.)

    I am porting some legacy code from windows to Linux (Ubuntu Karmic to be precise). I have come across a Win32 function GetDateFormat(). The statements I need to port over are called like this: GetDateFormat(LOCALE_USER_DEFAULT, 0, &datetime, "MMMM", 'January', 31); OR GetDateFormat(LOCALE_USER_DEFAULT, 0, &datetime, "MMMM", 'May', 30); Where datetime is a SYSTEMTIME struct. Does anyone know where I can get the code for the function - or failing that, tips on how to "roll my own" equivalent function?

    I'm creating a Rails application which uses MySQL. I have a table in my DB like this: create_table "pastes", :force => true do |t| t.string "title" t.text "body" t.string "syntax" t.boolean "private" t.datetime "expire" t.string "password" t.datetime "created_at" t.datetime "updated_at" end I want to show only the non-expired pastes to people, so I do this: @pastes = Paste.find(:all, :conditions => "expire < '#{Time.now.strftime('%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S')}'") However, even that returns ALL pastes. Not just those that are not expired yet. Can anyone help me? Thanks Oh, changing < to > returns no pastes, not even the non-expired ones :(

    Hi, In order to Unit-Test a feature, I need to fake DateTime.Now. Something like: SupposeNowIs(new DateTime(..)); I can either use a third library that does it, or write my own little class. What do you recommand? Do you know any good library for this purpose? How would you fake time in C#? By changing DateTime.Now? (I suppose it's read only?). Thank you!

    I am trying to send the time to flash but set to the currently timezone. When you view the below even though the echo date, looks like its working the $time is the same. When i test in flash I get the extra hour added.   • Plotting a cumulative graph of python datetimes

    Say I have a list of datetimes, and we know each datetime to be the recorded time of an event happening. Is it possible in matplotlib to graph the frequency of this event occuring over time, showing this data in a cumulative graph (so that each point is greater or equal to all of the points that went before it), without preprocessing this list? (e.g. passing datetime objects directly to some wonderful matplotlib function) Or do I need to turn this list of datetimes into a list of dictionary items, such as: {"year": 1998, "month": 12, "date": 15, "events": 92} and then generate a graph from this list? Sorry if this seems like a silly question - I'm not all too familiar with matplotlib, and would like to save myself the effort of doing this the latter way if matplotlib can already deal with datetime objects itself.

I have searched internet but still not sure how to do it.     hi there I have an entity and it seems like using DateTime as the Id would be a good suit, however I there is this strange feeling that that it might be a terrible idea ( tho i cant come up with any logical reason as to why), This is an immutable object ( ie once the value is recorded it shouldn't really change ) So DateTime as id field in NHibernate yay or Nay?   • Matching day in datetime field from sqlite

    In Ruby on Rails I'm doing something like: Appointment.find( :first, :conditions => "staff_id = #{staff_id} AND datetimefield = #{datetime}") ... where datetimefield is of course, a datetime field. But, I only want rows where the date is equal to a given day, say 2/12/2011. I don't care about the time. What's an easy way to do this? Thanks!

    Hi, since in mysql datetime field is represented as string (i'm not sure how it works internally), wouldn't be from performance point of view faster to store date as unix timestamp? I don't need to use any mysql native date functions, i'm going for performance of sorting and selecting data. if there was an index for that column, would be difference between int and datetime?
