    I want to do the following: 1: Add two dropdown list in the register.aspx [Say ddlRole,ddlGender] 2: Fill the dropdown list [ ddlRole should be filled from the database, and ddlRole should have two static field] 3: On submit I want to get the selected value of the two dropdown list.   • jqueryUI: Drag element from dialog and drop onto main page?

    I am trying to create a drag and drop system consisting of a workspace and a "palette". The workspace currently consists of re-orderable list items, and I want the palette to be a floating window from which I can drag items and add them to a specific position on the workspace. I am currently using the jqueryUI "sortable" plugin for the workspace and the jqueryUI "dialog" plugin for the palette. However, I cannot drag something out of the dialog and on to the main page. When I try, the item being dragged disappears as it crosses the boundary of the dialog (which makes sense). What can I change so that items will remain visible as I drag them out of the palette and allow me to drop them onto the main workspace? Alternatively, are there any jquery plugins that offer this sort of drag-n-drop palette as a primary feature?

  • Update website with a single command (git push) instead of FTP drag and dropping

    Situation: I have a local copy of a website I have a server that I have SSH access to What do I want to do? Commit locally until I'm happy with my code Make branches locally Have one master branch that is the one that should be pushed to the server Update the website using a single command (git push origin master) If I set up a git repo locally using git init, and then push to a folder on the server, it doesn't work. When I FTP to the server to check the files, they're actually there. When I SSH into the server and do git status, it's not clean, even though it should be since I just pushed to the server. Steps I'm doing: Make a new folder on my computer (mkdir folder_x) Go into that folder (cd folder_x) Set up a new git repository there (git init) (git repository sets up successfully) Push the repository to the server using git push origin master (where origin is set up as user:[email protected])

  • How to drop a primary key using ActiveRecord migrations

    Due to a mistake I forgot to add :id => false to a has_many :trough table creation migration. Now I reverted the association back to a has_and_belongs_to_many and ActiveRecord throws an exception complaining about the presence of the primary key. I couldn't find any reference on the ActiveRecord documentation so, do you know if there is any standard, clean way of doing it?

  • google maps not working anymore at the drop of a hat

    2 days ago, I was working on a project that involves google maps. The website showed the maps on the pages just fine. Now, I come back to my workstation, nothing has changed, expect for the fact that the google maps won't show up anymore. The code is identical, nobody has touched my machine since I was gone, I've checked the html, everything is perfect and still this isn't working... The Javascript console is giving no errors and the code is identical to a backup I make everytime I call it a day. 2 days ago it was working, today it isn't. I've even copied the source code, put it into an html file and tried that, but the same result. I'm at a loss here.     I'm using the dropdown menu from http://www.wappler.eu/swdropdownmenu/ and it works fine in all browsers except IE.. the demo on the website works in IE, and the only thing i've changed is the styling.. mine is at http://www.futureworkinstitute.com/2010/ - at first i thought it might have been a conflict between scriptaculous/prototype/jquery, but even after removing other JS, it still doesnt work.

  • Cant set drop down list selected value in page load

    Hi, I'm trying to set the selected value of a ddl during page load ie. before databind. This causes "selected value does not exist" errors. So I force a databind, and add a new element if it does not exist in the data source. However it looks like when the databind is performed later in the page lifecycle that my added element(s) are removed/overwritten. Am I setting the values in the wrong part of the life cycle? what I'm doing seems rather hackish and I think im going about this the wrong way... is there a better way to do this?

    hi guys ! Currently I am working on video conferencing project.For this i m using pwnat for nat traversing. pwnat is based on udp tunneling.I m using the TCP connection for data transmission. My problem is that when i send a packet , it does not reach properly at its destination side . Sometime it drops the packet and many times it breaks ( split ) the packet into pieces. I'm wondering if is there a way to force MSSQL Management Studio to produce a script like this: ALTER TABLE Mytable ADD MyCol bit NOT NULL CONSTRAINT MyColDefault DEFAULT 0 WITH VALUES ALTER TABLE [dbo].Mytable ALTER COLUMN MyCol2 int NULL GO when I alter a very simple property of a column on a table. If I do this in the designer and ask for the produced script, the script doesn't do such simple tasks, but instead copies all the data in a tmp table, drops the original table, renames the tmp table with the original table name. And, of course, drops and recreates every constraint and relationships. Is there any option I can change to change this behaviour? Or, this may be possible, is there some danger I don't see in using the simple ALTER TABLE above? thanks.

    I bind the ItemsSource of a ComboBox to an ObservableCollection<MyClass>. In code I change the collection (e.g. edit the MyClass.Name property). The problem: the change is not reflected in the dropdown box if the ComboBox, yet when I seled the item from the dropdown it is displayed correctly in the selected item box of the ComboBox. What's going on? :) PS MyClass has INotifyPropertyChanged implemented
