  I have a server running Debian Linux which has a built in serial port which is coming up as ttyS0. I have a plug in PCI card with two serial ports that are being registered with Linux as ttyS2 and ttyS3. Unfortunately I am trying to run some software which assumes that ttyS0 and ttyS1 are available. Is it possible to remap the serial port device names (using a udev rule?) such that ttyS0 remains as it is and ttyS2 becomes ttyS1?

  I am looking into installing Linux on a test XServe machine and see how it goes overall. We have our entire infrastructure on OSX and would like to move to Linux servers. Is there any distribution which has good support for XServe? Google search yielded nothing conclusive. I don't mind hacking around for personal use (compiling kernel, tweaking packages and configurations) but when running in production it's good to be cautious. Paying for commercial support is definitely an option.

  I have a Sony Ericsson C702 phone with a flat fee internet subscription (GPRS/UMTS). I'd like to connect my Linux (Kubuntu 9.04) laptop to internet via this phone, using bluetooth (I also have a cable connection but that's propietary, doubt it'll work).
