    These answers don't satisfy MY needs. My mobile supports .3gp and .avi formats 3gp files are always smaller in size but with least quality (especially audio part) Avi (certainly) exhibits better quality but the video converter I am using (namely Xillisoft VidConverter) outputs avi file with very high size, which isn't suitable for portable devices So I'm looking for (essentially free or open source) software that creates smaller files with a better quality than 3gp! thank you :-)

How to troubleshoot problems sharing internet connection via WiFi on Mac OS X Me and my wife both have MacBooks (one regular, one MackBook Pro). We're staying in temporary accommodation with no internet so we got one of those mobile broadband USB dongles. However, when I go to the connection settings, I only see USB and COM1 options. No option for ethernet. I have an HTC Maple (aka Snap), and it connects fine to my home wireless network, but I would like to be able to sync over the network.

    Hi All, Someone told me that one can enable Windows Mobile simply by creating a bunch of registry values as explained in this TechEd article. The article is in the scopê of MS System Configuration Manager but my client tells me that the logs can be created even without System Config Manager. I tried but I couldn't get the system to create any such log file. Can anyone explain how to get this logs (or why I can't get them)? TIA,

  • Uploading images from Flex to Rails using Paperclip

    Hi everyone, I'm looking for a way to upload images that were created in my flex app to rails. I've tried to use paperclip, but it don't seem to work. I've got this tutorial here: http://blog.alexonrails.net/?p=218 The problem is, that they are using a FileReference to browse for files on the clients computer. They call the .upload(...) function and send the data to the upload controller.   • Loading dynamic content and rewrite URL on Hashchange event with Jquery Mobile

    I'm building a mobile version for my website using Jquery Mobile API. The framework provides automate AJAX navigation processing. But as far as i know it require "real" pages for loading purpose. What i want to do is override the automate navigation process of it and process the hashchange on my own. But i can't not rewrite the url using window.hashChange, which is running well on my non-mobile website version : $(function () { $(window).off().hashchange(function () { if (location.hash.length > 1) { PageSelect(); } }); $(window).hashchange(); }); I just only want to take advantage on jquery mobile interfaces, i don't want anything with its automate ajax navigation stuff ! I tried to disable it using ajaxEnabled() but got no luck.

  • Touch friendly GUI in Windows Mobile

    I'm porting an audio processing application written in C++ from Windows to Windows Mobile (version 5+). Basically what I need to port is the GUI. The application is quite complicated and the GUI will need to be able to offer a lot of functionality. I would like to create a touch friendly user interface that also looks good. Which basically means that standard WinMo controls are out the window. I've looked at libraries such as Fluid and they look like something I would like to use. However, as I said I'm developing i C++. Even though it would be possible to only write the GUI part i some .NET language I rather not. My experience with .NET on Windows Mobile is that it doesn't work very well... Can anyone either suggest a C/C++ touch friendly GUI library for Windows Mobile or some kind of "best practices" document/how-to on how to use the standard Windows Mobile controls in order to make the touch friendly and also work and look well in later versions of Windows Mobile (in particular version 6.5)?

  • Hiring *good* Mobile Developers in/to Korea - overseas hiring question

    Hello everyone. My question is regarding the best way to find a good mobile developer in Korea, or in another country to bring to Korea. Our company is growing fast and we need some quality mobile developers to start getting our system onto mobile. The problem is, however, that in Korea, their are very few mobile developers (currently) and their pay is extremely expensive. We have looked into India and other SE Asian countries and have concluded that bringing in a developer from another country may be the best choice. However, I am worried about how to find developers that are motivated by passion/creativity instead of getting a paycheck, and am also worried about what country may provide the higher quality worker. To clarify, we would bring in these workers from their country to Korea, and help them get settled here and working in our office. Has anyone had any experience doing this sort of thing in America/Korea/another country? Thank you very much for your replies.
