  • Update list dom only if list displayed

    Sometimes we use one store for few views(list, carousel,dataviews) and when we refresh(load, filter) store data, dom of all view that use this store will be rebuild, but some views is not displayed in this time, and may be will not show with these data. How we can refresh list dom only if it displayed, not every time when it store refresh? And dom of all list will be change although second and third list not displayed I see one option. Create one main store and create separate stores for each views. And when view show fill it store from Main store. But it look not good. Any other ideas?

In their place we now have a Start hot corner (a workable alternative) and the newly redesigned Metro Start Screen. The Start Screen is, if nothing else, different. Beyond a doubt, there has not been such a radical redesign of Windows’ Start functionality since it went to a two-column design with a nested “All Programs” menu in Windows XP. The Start Screen can be a little jarring because it requires users to not only relearn what they’ve known for nearly two decades but to also rethink the way they interact with Windows. However, the Start Screen maintains its core elements: a Start “menu”, a place for all installed programs (All apps), and a search pane.   • How can I force fullscreen on my right screen?

    I have 2 screens: 17" on left and 22" screen on right side. When I watch a movie with VLC and want to watch on full-screen on my 22" screen (the right one), I move my VLC window in right screen and then click on full-screen = no problem. BUT when using Firefox and watching streaming video, watching on full-screen is always on 17" screen (left one). How can I force full-screen to be on my 22" screen (right one) ?

    I am using ubuntu 12.04 and my video card is ATI Radeon 5000. I cannot use double screen (extended version).     I made a pause script for the game im developing for android. I added the script to the GUITexture I created and placed on the top right side of the screen.The issue stands at the part where if the player clicks the pause button then clicks resume then he wants to pause the game again.When he clicks pause the second time the buttons dont show up unless he clicks again.   • Black bars around screen? Catalyst Control Center problem?

    I just newly install Ubuntu 12.04, and im running an HDMI cable from my computer to my ASUS monitor. Now in Windows 7, i did not have these black bar issues running at 1080p. But now in Ubuntu, i have these black bars. I installed the ATI Catalyst Control Center, and I went to go in to fix the scaling but it is grayed out. As you can see, even with the override box checked i still can not set the scaling. The monitor was set to a lower resolution to hopefully fix it but that did not work either. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

  • I'm getting a black screen right after Install Ubuntu option on GRUB menu. Any ideas?

    I've formatted my USB and remade the live USB twice. I tried editing editing the commands (pressing the 'e' key while the command was highlighted on the GRUB menu) by 1. deleting quiet splash and replacing it with nomodeset 2. adding nomodeset right before quiet splash 3. deleting quiet splash and adding radeon.modeset=0 I saw another solution for a fix by editing GRUB but in command line 'sudo' 'nano' and 'update-grub' all show up as unknown commands. I'm brand new to Ubuntu, in case you couldn't tell. I would appreciate any help you could give me. I want to convince my brother that Ubuntu is a better option than iOS but I can't do that if I can't install it. If you need more information, please ask. I'm not dual booting. I want this to be a full install. Thanks.

    I know that in OpenGL I can do something like this glReadBuffer( GL_FRONT ); glReadPixels( 0, 0, _width, _height, GL_RGB, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, _buffer ); And its pretty fast, I get the raw bitmap in _buffer. When I try to do this in DirectX. Assuming that I have a D3DDevice object I can do something like this if (SUCCEEDED(D3DDevice->GetBackBuffer(0, 0, D3DBACKBUFFER_TYPE_MONO, &pBackbuffer))) { HResult hr = D3DXSaveSurfaceToFileA(filename, D3DXIFF_BMP, pBackbuffer, NULL, NULL); But D3DXSaveSurfaceToFile is pretty slow, and I don't need to write the capture to disk anyway, so I was wondering if there was a faster way to do this

  • Ubuntu won't load, freezes on purple screen

    Last time I restarted my computer, I could not get Ubuntu to load; the screen would either go black, or would hang at the purple screen indefinitely. I have had some graphics problems in the past, but had put 'nomodeset' after 'quiet splash' in the grub command line, which at least let Ubuntu load. That doesn't work now, and doesn't work if I remove it. I looked up some answers, such as this one: Purple start screen - no splash screen However, when I enter the root in recovery mode in grub, I always get errors when I run those command lines and it won't let me modify the files. Also, if I run in recovery mode and then choose 'resume normal boot', it will continue. But instead of getting a usual interface, I get a black screen that asks for my username and password. I enter these, and it tells me I'm in Ubuntu 12.04, but I'm still on a black screen with texts. It also informs me that there are updates to install. When I use the command 'sudo apt-get update', it starts to retrieve the information, but then the screen goes blank after a couple of seconds and I can't do anything anymore. Any ideas?

  • How can I get run Ubuntu Desktop on my Galaxy Nexus?

    On the Ubuntu for phones site it advertises the desktop view feature: "The phone becomes a full PC and thin client when docked.". And there's the demo by Canonical of something similar running under Ubuntu for Android. I realize they're different systems, but the end effect is in both is to have a full Ubuntu system running on the phone. I've installed Ubuntu Touch Preview on my Galaxy Nexus (toro), and it's working as expected (no cellular signal, but wifi works, etc). But when I plug in a monitor via HDMI it just mirrors the phone's touch display. There's also currently no bluetooth support for attaching keyboard and mouse. Keyboard only kind of works via USB, and mouse not at all. I've also tried running Ubuntu under Android via VNC, but the lack of responsiveness of VNC makes it impractical for daily use. I'd consider that route again if there is some way to make the UI more responsive. So the question is, how can set up my phone to run Ubuntu Desktop in a way that's useable as a laptop replacement? Is there a way to enable Desktop View on Ubuntu Touch? Or can I run Ubuntu for Android as in the previously referenced demo? Plugging into a monitor would be OK, but I'd love to be able to use the desktop interface with mouse and keyboard through the phone's screen as well. Touch input and an onscreen keyboard would be a plus but is definitely not necessary.

    My app allows the user to access their corporate voice mail. Normally, durring a phone call when the user holds the device up to their ear, the screen shuts off so they wont accidentally push buttons with their face.
