  • Drawing a texture with an alpha channel doesn't work -- draws black

    - by DevDevDev
    I am modifying GLPaint to use a different background, so in this case it is white. Anyway the existing stamp they are using assumes the background is black, so I made a new background with an alpha channel. When I draw on the canvas it is still black, what gives? When I actually draw, I just bind the texture and it works. Something is wrong in this initialization. Here is the photo - (id)initWithCoder:(NSCoder*)coder { CGImageRef brushImage; CGContextRef brushContext; GLubyte *brushData; size_t width, height; if (self = [super initWithCoder:coder]) { CAEAGLLayer *eaglLayer = (CAEAGLLayer *)self.layer; eaglLayer.opaque = YES; // In this application, we want to retain the EAGLDrawable contents after a call to presentRenderbuffer. eaglLayer.drawableProperties = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys: [NSNumber numberWithBool:YES], kEAGLDrawablePropertyRetainedBacking, kEAGLColorFormatRGBA8, kEAGLDrawablePropertyColorFormat, nil]; context = [[EAGLContext alloc] initWithAPI:kEAGLRenderingAPIOpenGLES1]; if (!context || ![EAGLContext setCurrentContext:context]) { [self release]; return nil; } // Create a texture from an image // First create a UIImage object from the data in a image file, and then extract the Core Graphics image brushImage = [UIImage imageNamed:@"test.png"].CGImage; // Get the width and height of the image width = CGImageGetWidth(brushImage); height = CGImageGetHeight(brushImage); // Texture dimensions must be a power of 2. If you write an application that allows users to supply an image, // you'll want to add code that checks the dimensions and takes appropriate action if they are not a power of 2. // Make sure the image exists if(brushImage) { brushData = (GLubyte *) calloc(width * height * 4, sizeof(GLubyte)); brushContext = CGBitmapContextCreate(brushData, width, width, 8, width * 4, CGImageGetColorSpace(brushImage), kCGImageAlphaPremultipliedLast); CGContextDrawImage(brushContext, CGRectMake(0.0, 0.0, (CGFloat)width, (CGFloat)height), brushImage); CGContextRelease(brushContext); glGenTextures(1, &brushTexture); glBindTexture(GL_TEXTURE_2D, brushTexture); glTexParameteri(GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL_TEXTURE_MIN_FILTER, GL_LINEAR); glTexImage2D(GL_TEXTURE_2D, 0, GL_RGBA, width, height, 0, GL_RGBA, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, brushData); free(brushData); } //Set up OpenGL states glMatrixMode(GL_PROJECTION); CGRect frame = self.bounds; glOrthof(0, frame.size.width, 0, frame.size.height, -1, 1); glViewport(0, 0, frame.size.width, frame.size.height); glMatrixMode(GL_MODELVIEW); glDisable(GL_DITHER); glEnable(GL_TEXTURE_2D); glEnable(GL_BLEND); glBlendFunc(GL_SRC_ALPHA, GL_ONE_MINUS_DST_ALPHA); glEnable(GL_POINT_SPRITE_OES); glTexEnvf(GL_POINT_SPRITE_OES, GL_COORD_REPLACE_OES, GL_TRUE); glPointSize(width / kBrushScale); } return self; }

  • jQuery / jqGrids / Submitting form data troubles...

    - by Kelso
    Ive been messing with jqgrids alot of the last couple days, and I have nearly everything the way I want it from the display, tabs with different grids, etc. Im wanting to make use of Modal for adding and editing elements on my grid. My problem that Im running into is this. I have my editurl:"editsu.php" set, if that file is renamed, on edit, i get a 404 in the modal.. great! However, with that file in place, nothing at all seems to happen. I even put a die("testing"); line at the top, so it sees the file, it just doesnt do anything with it. Below is the content. ........ the index page jQuery("#landings").jqGrid({ url:'server.php?tid=1', datatype: "json", colNames:['ID','Tower','Sector', 'Client', 'VLAN','IP','DLink','ULink','Service','Lines','Freq','Radio','Serial','Mac'], colModel:[ {name:'id', index:'id', width : 50, align: 'center', sortable:true,editable:true,editoptions:{size:10}}, {name:'tower', index:'tower', width : 85, align: 'center', sortable:true,editable:false,editoptions:{readonly:true,size:30}}, {name:'sector', index:'sector', width : 50, align: 'center',sortable:true,editable:true,editoptions:{readonly:true,size:20}}, {name:'customer',index:'customer', width : 175, align: 'left', editable:true,editoptions:{readonly:true,size:35}}, {name:'vlan', index:'vlan', width : 35, align: 'left',editable:true,editoptions:{size:10}}, {name:'suip', index:'suip', width : 65, align: 'left',editable:true,editoptions:{size:20}}, {name:'datadl',index:'datadl', width:55, editable: true,edittype:"select",editoptions:{value:"<? $qr = qquery("select * from datatypes"); while ($q = ffetch($qr)) {echo "$q[id]:$q[name];";}?>"}}, {name:'dataul', index:'dataul', width : 55, editable: true,edittype:"select",editoptions:{value:"<? $qr = qquery("select * from datatypes"); while ($q = ffetch($qr)) {echo "$q[id]:$q[name];";}?>"}}, {name:'servicetype', index:'servicetype', width : 85, editable: true,edittype:"select",editoptions:{value:"<? $qr = qquery("select * from servicetype"); while ($q = ffetch($qr)) {echo "$q[id]:$q[name];";}?>"}}, {name:'voicelines', index:'voicelines', width : 35, align: 'center',editable:true,editoptions:{size:30}}, {name:'freqname', index:'freqname', width : 35, editable: true,edittype:"select",editoptions:{value:"<? $qr = qquery("select * from freqband"); while ($q = ffetch($qr)) {echo "$q[id]:$q[name];";}?>"}}, {name:'radioname', index:'radioname', width : 120, editable: true,edittype:"select",editoptions:{value:"<? $qr = qquery("select * from radiotype"); while ($q = ffetch($qr)) {echo "$q[id]:$q[name];";}?>"}}, {name:'serial', index:'serial', width : 100, align: 'right',editable:true,editoptions:{size:20}}, {name:'mac', index:'mac', width : 120, align: 'right',editable:true,editoptions:{size:20}} ], rowNum:20, rowList:[30,50,70], pager: '#pagerl', sortname: 'sid', mtype: "GET", viewrecords: true, sortorder: "asc", altRows: true, caption:"Landings", editurl:"editsu.php", height:420 }); jQuery("#landings").jqGrid('navGrid','#pagerl',{edit:true,add:true,del:false,search:false},{height:400,reloadAfterSubmit:false},{height:400,reloadAfterSubmit:false},{reloadAfterSubmit:false},{}); now for the editsu.php file.. $operation = $_REQUEST['oper']; if ($operation == "edit") { qquery("UPDATE customers SET vlan = '".$_POST['vlan']."', datadl = '".$_POST['datadl']."', dataul = '".$_POST['dataul']."', servicetype = '".$_POST['servicetype']."', voicelines = '".$_POST['voicelines']."', freqname = '".$_POST['freqname']."', radioname = '".$_POST['radioname']."', serial = '".$_POST['serial']."', mac = '".$_POST['mac']."' WHERE id = '".$_POST['id']."'") or die(mysql_error()); } Im just having a hard time troubleshooting this to figure out where its getting hung up at. My next question after this would be to see if its possible to make it so when you click "add", that it auto inserts a row into the db with a couple variable predtermined and then bring up the modal window, but ill work on the first problem first. thanks!

  • How to calculate/predict width after a browsers zoom?

    - by aaron b11
    Specifically, how do I predict/calculate the effect any of the browsers' zoom will have, for example, on width:950px? Are there any tools I can use to determine the new widths? edit: If I have a 950px div that is visually rendered 875px in, say, chrome, I could say chrome reduces fixed widths by approx. 92.1% after one crtl-. (950*.921= approx .875).

  • Stretch Background Image & Resize With Browser Window

    - by user241673
    I am trying to replicate the image resizing found at http://devkick.com/lab/fsgallery/ but with the code I have below, it is not working properly. When resizing the browser window to have small width and big height, white space shows up at the bottom of the page. feel free to see it & edit at http://jsbin.com/ifolu3 The CSS: html, body {width:100%; height:100%; overflow:hidden;} div.bg {position:absolute; width:200%; height:200%; top:-50%; left:-50%;} img.bg {min-height:50%; min-width:50%; margin:0 auto; display:block;} The JS/jQuery: $(window).resize(function(){ var ratio = Math.max($(window).width()/$('img.bg').width(),$(window).height()/$('img.bg').height()); if ($(window).width() $(window).height()) { $('img.bg').css({width:image.width()*ratio,height:'auto'}); } else { $('img.bg').css({width:'auto',height:image.height()*ratio}); } }); The HTML - (sorry for the formatting, had trouble getting "<" to show) [body] [div class="bg"] [img class="bg" src="bg.jpg" /] [/div] [/body]

What points should i use to get it ? public void MakeNonRectangularForm() { System.Drawing.Drawing2D.GraphicsPath p = new System.Drawing.Drawing2D.GraphicsPath(); int width = this.ClientSize.Width; int height = this.ClientSize.Height; p.AddClosedCurve(new Point[]{new Point(width/2, height/2), new Point(width,0), new Point(width, height/3), new Point(width-width/3, height), new Point(width/7, height-height/8)}); this.Region = new Region(p); }

  • Finding N contiguous zero bits in an integer to the left of the MSB position of another integer

    - by James Morris
    The problem is: given an integer val1 find the position of the highest bit set (Most Significant Bit) then, given a second integer val2 find a contiguous region of unset bits, with the minimum number of zero bits given by width to the left of the position (ie, in the higher bits). Here is the C code for my solution: typedef unsigned int t; unsigned const t_bits = sizeof(t) * CHAR_BIT; _Bool test_fit_within_left_of_msb( unsigned width, t val1, t val2, unsigned* offset_result) { unsigned offbit = 0; unsigned msb = 0; t mask; t b; while(val1 >>= 1) ++msb; while(offbit + width < t_bits - msb) { mask = (((t)1 << width) - 1) << (t_bits - width - offbit); b = val2 & mask; if (!b) { *offset_result = offbit; return true; } if (offbit++) /* this conditional bothers me! */ b <<= offbit - 1; while(b <<= 1) offbit++; } return false; } Aside from faster ways of finding the MSB of the first integer, the commented test for a zero offbit seems a bit extraneous, but necessary to skip the highest bit of type t if it is set. I have also implemented similar algorithms but working to the right of the MSB of the first number, so they don't require this seemingly extra condition. How can I get rid of this extra condition, or even, are there far more optimal solutions? Edit: Some background not strictly required. The offset result is a count of bits from the high bit, not from the low bit as maybe expected. This will be part of a wider algorithm which scans a 2D array for a 2D area of zero bits. Here, for testing, the algorithm has been simplified. val1 represents the first integer which does not have all bits set found in a row of the 2D array. From this the 2D version would scan down which is what val2 represents. Here's some output showing success and failure: t_bits:32 t_high: 10000000000000000000000000000000 ( 2147483648 ) --------- ----------------------------------- *** fit within left of msb test *** ----------------------------------- val1: 00000000000000000000000010000000 ( 128 ) val2: 01000001000100000000100100001001 ( 1091569929 ) msb: 7 offbit:0 + width: 8 = 8 mask: 11111111000000000000000000000000 ( 4278190080 ) b: 01000001000000000000000000000000 ( 1090519040 ) offbit:8 + width: 8 = 16 mask: 00000000111111110000000000000000 ( 16711680 ) b: 00000000000100000000000000000000 ( 1048576 ) offbit:12 + width: 8 = 20 mask: 00000000000011111111000000000000 ( 1044480 ) b: 00000000000000000000000000000000 ( 0 ) offbit:12 iters:10 ***** found room for width:8 at offset: 12 ***** ----------------------------------- *** fit within left of msb test *** ----------------------------------- val1: 00000000000000000000000001000000 ( 64 ) val2: 00010000000000001000010001000001 ( 268469313 ) msb: 6 offbit:0 + width: 13 = 13 mask: 11111111111110000000000000000000 ( 4294443008 ) b: 00010000000000000000000000000000 ( 268435456 ) offbit:4 + width: 13 = 17 mask: 00001111111111111000000000000000 ( 268402688 ) b: 00000000000000001000000000000000 ( 32768 ) ***** mask: 00001111111111111000000000000000 ( 268402688 ) offbit:17 iters:15 ***** no room found for width:13 ***** (iters is the count of iterations of the inner while loop)

  • CSS: Javascript code out there that could draw form squares to copy to a real form?

    - by Dr. Zim
    I end up doing a lot of this to draw forms in boxes. This does an address block: position: absolute;top: .2em; left: .2em; width: 2.4em;height: 1.2em; position: absolute;top: .2em; left: 3em; width: 12.4em; height: 1.2em; position: absolute;top: 1.7em; left: 3em; width: 12.4em;height: 1.2em; position: absolute;top: 3.2em; left: 3em; width: 12.4em;height: 1.2em; position: absolute;top: 4.7em; left: 3em; width: 12.4em;height: 1.2em; position: absolute;top: 6.2em; left: 3em; width: 7.6em; height: 1.2em; position: absolute;top: 6.2em; left: 10.9em; width: 1.6em; height: 1.2em; position: absolute;top: 6.2em; left: 12.8em; width: 2.5em; height: 1.2em; position: absolute;top: 7.7em; left: 3em; width: 7.6em;height: 1.2em; position: absolute;top: 9.2em; left: 3em; width: 7.6em;height: 1.2em; position: absolute;top: 10.7em; left: 3em; width: 1.2em;height: 1.2em; position: absolute;top: 10.7em; left: 4.5em; width: 10.9em; height: 1.2em; but what I really need is some Javascript that allows me to draw my forms on screen, then generate the CSS for my real ASP.NET MVC 2 partial views, allowing nudge and cell resizing with keystrokes. Anyone have any suggestions for something like this?

  • Drawing outlines around organic shapes

    - by ThunderChunky_SF
    One thing that seems particularly easy to do in the Flash IDE but difficult to do with code is to outline an organic shape. In the IDE you can just use the inkbucket tool to draw a stroke around something. Using nothing but code it seems much trickier. One method I've seen is to add a glow filter to the shape in question and just mess with the strength. But what if i want to only show the outline? What I'd like to do is to collect all of the points that make up the edge of the shape and then just connect the dots. I've actually gotten so far as to collect all of the points with a quick and dirty edge detection script that I wrote. So now I have a Vector of all the points that makeup my shape. How do I connect them in the proper sequence so it actually looks like the original object? For anyone who is interested here is my edge detection script: // Create a new sprite which we'll use for our outline var sp:Sprite = new Sprite(); var radius:int = 50; sp.graphics.beginFill(0x00FF00, 1); sp.graphics.drawCircle(0, 0, radius); sp.graphics.endFill(); sp.x = stage.stageWidth / 2; sp.y = stage.stageHeight / 2; // Create a bitmap data object to draw our vector data var bmd:BitmapData = new BitmapData(sp.width, sp.height, true, 0); // Use a transform matrix to translate the drawn clip so that none of its // pixels reside in negative space. The draw method will only draw starting // at 0,0 var mat:Matrix = new Matrix(1, 0, 0, 1, radius, radius); bmd.draw(sp, mat); // Pass the bitmap data to an actual bitmap var bmp:Bitmap = new Bitmap(bmd); // Add the bitmap to the stage addChild(bmp); // Grab all of the pixel data from the bitmap data object var pixels:Vector.<uint> = bmd.getVector(bmd.rect); // Setup a vector to hold our stroke points var points:Vector.<Point> = new Vector.<Point>; // Loop through all of the pixels of the bitmap data object and // create a point instance for each pixel location that isn't // transparent. var l:int = pixels.length; for(var i:int = 0; i < l; ++i) { // Check to see if the pixel is transparent if(pixels[i] != 0) { var pt:Point; // Check to see if the pixel is on the first or last // row. We'll grab everything from these rows to close the outline if(i <= bmp.width || i >= (bmp.width * bmp.height) - bmp.width) { pt = new Point(); pt.x = int(i % bmp.width); pt.y = int(i / bmp.width); points.push(pt); continue; } // Check to see if the current pixel is on either extreme edge if(int(i % bmp.width) == 0 || int(i % bmp.width) == bmp.width - 1) { pt = new Point(); pt.x = int(i % bmp.width); pt.y = int(i / bmp.width); points.push(pt); continue; } // Check to see if the previous or next pixel are transparent, // if so save the current one. if(i > 0 && i < bmp.width * bmp.height) { if(pixels[i - 1] == 0 || pixels[i + 1] == 0) { pt = new Point(); pt.x = int(i % bmp.width); pt.y = int(i / bmp.width); points.push(pt); } } } }

  • How to convert a fixed height/width-fixed layout to elastic?

    - by phretor
    I used the same software used here http://us.gn.bartal.org/ to create a fixed width/height treemap in HTML + CSS. I would like to make it elastic by having a JavaScript function to convert all pixels absolute positions and sizes to percentages. How would you suggest to proceed? Is there some jQuery/Prototype/Dojo magic that I can exploit?

  • jQuery inserting comment help

    Hey all, i am trying to learn how to insert a comment within some html code without having to refresh the page. I know jQuery is capable of inserting a comment into a div area but i am having problems finding an example like that with fading in. Here is my comment code: <div id="CommentBox122" style="width:80%; padding:2px; margin-left:25px;"> <table width="650px" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="5" style="margin-left:20px; background-color: #F8F8F8; border-bottom:#CCC solid 1px;"><tr> <td width="10%" rowspan="2" align="center" class="Commentimage"><img src="img/avatar/gkrgimmkdhmggfh.jpg" height="60" /></td> <td width="90%" class="Commentposted">Posted by me on Saturday, May 01, 2010 @ 4:37: PM</td></tr> <tr><td class="Commentsaying">this is a test comment</td></tr> </table> <div id="stylized" class="myform" align="center"> <form id="CommentForm122" name="CommentForm122"> <div align="center" style="text-align:center; color:#F00; font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight:bold;">Would you like to leave a comment, Robert?</div> <textarea name="txtComment" class="box" id="txtComment"></textarea> <input name="txtpostid" type="text" id="txtpostid" style="visibility:hidden; display:none; height:0px; width:0px;" value="Demo43639" /> <div class="buttons" align="center"> <button type="button" id="Button122" name="Button122" class="positive" onclick="doStuff();"><img name="Submit" src="img\buttonimgComment.png" alt="" />Post Comment</button> </div> </form> </div> </div> The code i need to insert again would be: <table width="650px" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="5" style="margin-left:20px; background-color: #F8F8F8; border-bottom:#CCC solid 1px;"><tr> <td width="10%" rowspan="2" align="center" class="Commentimage"><img src="img/avatar/gkrgimmkdhmggfh.jpg" height="60" /></td> <td width="90%" class="Commentposted">Posted by me on Saturday, May 01, 2010 @ 4:37: PM</td></tr> <tr><td class="Commentsaying">this is a test comment</td></tr> </table> But again, i am unable to find an example using jQuery to automatically insert that part of the code under the other "table /table" box.. So after its inserted by jQuery, the code should look like this: <div id="CommentBox122" style="width:80%; padding:2px; margin-left:25px;"> <table width="650px" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="5" style="margin-left:20px; background-color: #F8F8F8; border-bottom:#CCC solid 1px;"><tr> <td width="10%" rowspan="2" align="center" class="Commentimage"><img src="img/avatar/gkrgimmkdhmggfh.jpg" height="60" /></td> <td width="90%" class="Commentposted">Posted by me on Saturday, May 01, 2010 @ 4:37: PM</td></tr> <tr><td class="Commentsaying">this is a test comment</td></tr> </table> <table width="650px" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="5" style="margin-left:20px; background-color: #F8F8F8; border-bottom:#CCC solid 1px;"><tr> <td width="10%" rowspan="2" align="center" class="Commentimage"><img src="img/avatar/gkrgimmkdhmggfh.jpg" height="60" /></td> <td width="90%" class="Commentposted">Posted by me on Saturday, May 01, 2010 @ 4:37: PM</td></tr> <tr><td class="Commentsaying">this is a test comment</td></tr> </table> <div id="stylized" class="myform" align="center"> <form id="CommentForm122" name="CommentForm122"> <div align="center" style="text-align:center; color:#F00; font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight:bold;">Would you like to leave a comment, Robert?</div> <textarea name="txtComment" class="box" id="txtComment"></textarea> <input name="txtpostid" type="text" id="txtpostid" style="visibility:hidden; display:none; height:0px; width:0px;" value="Demo43639" /> <div class="buttons" align="center"> <button type="button" id="Button122" name="Button122" class="positive" onclick="doStuff();"><img name="Submit" src="img\buttonimgComment.png" alt="" />Post Comment</button> </div> </form> </div> </div> As always, any help would be great! :o) David

If anyone can help me out then that'd be fantastic. Thanks!

  • Trying to use RemoveChild() on XmlNodeList messes up my XmlNode collection

    - by user299090
    Hi there, I'm trying to remove a specific node from a XmlNodeList named listaWidths. This specific list has 5 items before I use RemoveChild(). But, after the RemoveChild() statement, the list stays only with 1 item. XmlNodeList listaWidths = xmlDoc.SelectNodes("/MsBuild:Report/MsBuild:Body/MsBuild:ReportItems/MsBuild:Tablix/MsBuild:TablixBody/MsBuild:TablixColumns/*", nsmgr); int indexEpoca = 0; //Remover época XmlNode node = listaWidths[indexEpoca]; XmlNode parent = listaWidths[indexEpoca].ParentNode; parent.RemoveChild(node); This is a RDL Reporting Services XML. The specific XML code is here: <Tablix Name="Tablix3"> <TablixBody> <TablixColumns> <TablixColumn> <Width>1.602in</Width> </TablixColumn> <TablixColumn> <Width>1.61in</Width> </TablixColumn> <TablixColumn> <Width>1.6323in</Width> </TablixColumn> <TablixColumn> <Width>1.6023in</Width> </TablixColumn> <TablixColumn> <Width>1.6033in</Width> </TablixColumn> </TablixColumns> (...) I've tried every combination possible, with no luck whatsoever. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

  • How to get width of button in DateTimePicker-Control/Controls in general?

    - by Inno
    Hello everybody, I implemented a custom DateTimePicker. On the DateTimePicker there is a button. In the examples I've found it's width is set to 16. This is working but I would like to have a dynamic approach. So, is there a way to get the size of this button or is there a general way to get information about .Net-Control sub elements like size etc.? Trying DateTimePicker.Controls didn't help me (it's empty).
