  I am trying to be able to upload files with Sinatra. I have the code here, but I'm getting the error "method file_hash does not exist" (see /lib/mvc/helpers/helpers.rb). What is going on here? Is there some dependency I'm missing.

• Spring Security 3 - Login is not working

  I use Spring Security with Spring Framework 3 and when I tyr to login from homepage I get following error: 2010-04-26 12:16:39,525 [tomcat-http--2] WARN org.springframework.web.servlet.PageNotFound - No mapping found for HTTP request with URI [/AppName/app/j_spring_security_check] in DispatcherServlet with name 'Spring MVC Dispatcher Servlet' Spring Security is initialized as loggings tell and there are no errors. So what could be reason for this error? I have understood that j_spring_security_check is default url for Spring Security login chekeing servlet.

• SSL certificate issue when redirecting from 'https://example.com' to 'https://www.example.com'

  I've mapped 'example.com' and 'www.example.com' to the same IP address with my hosting service provider. But because my SSL certificate only works for 'www.example.com', so what I want is when the user visit 'example.com', he will be redirected to 'www.example.com'. I'm using ASP.Net MVC and IIS 7. Is there a PHP CMS with which I can easily create the webpages with forms that can modify my database tables? The point is that I don't want to code it using plain PHP or MVC frameworks either.   var obj = document.getElementById("header"); Given the above code snippet, I should be able to wire event handlers. For example, I can wire onMouseDown to the mouse down event, the issue is that Visual Studio does not display this in the Intellisense. I've tried this on both a standalone Javascript file, as well as an MVC project to no luck. Is there anything I'm doing wrong - or is there a way to resolve this?

  In my 2nd ASP.NET MVC project I'm facing a very weird problem: when I call the SubmitChanges method of the DataContext class, nothing updates in the database. It's weird because everything works fine with my first project. I'm using a remote database created in Sql Server Management Studio, I tried doing some queries there and in Visual Studio 2010 (where I have the connection to the database), they all work. Where might the problem be hidden?

  I can browse using the desktop browsers via ..localhost:54647/... and from windows mobile emulators via my gateway ..//192.168.0.199:54647/..., but neither method works from either my Android emulator or from a usb attached itouch. I know I may have to run IIS locally but it's more convenient to run the development server from Visual Studio 2008. I'm running Vista with latest service packs. I'm developing a mobile app using ASP.Net MVC. Thanks!

• Would ViewModels fit in the Model View Presenter pattern?

  Having used ViewModels in MVC, I was wondering if applying the same to the MVP pattern is practical. I only have a few considerations, one being that MVP is already fairly hard to implement (with all the additional coding, not much on the seeming complexity) or that ViewModels already have a slightly similar way of modeling data or entities. Would adding another layer in the form of ViewModels be redundant or is it a logical abstraction that I, as one implementing the MVP pattern, should adhere to?

  I am using spring mvc in which i convert the arraylist into json string. I have one object 1) results. My output from spring looks like this: { "data":"[{\"userName\":\"test1\",\"firstName\":\"test\",\"lastName\":\"user\"}, {\"userName\":\"test2\",\"firstName\":\"test1\",\"lastName\":\"user1\"}]", } I get output as null when i do '$.parseJSON' with this output. When i tried testing only with data object it works fine Any help would be great.

• Is it bad to use a model directly from a view in codeigniter?

  I know normally the data is passed thru to the view with the controller. however, currently in my view I load my model ($this-load-model('Db_model');) so i can use it in a loop to retrieve a users profile picture path from a array of IDs that is passed from controller. Will loading the db model in the view to accomplish this make my site more vulnerable or bad form? To me it seems to be outside of MVC concept but its working atm. thanks

  Apple, for memory management issues, recommend defining outlets on properties, not in the attribute declaration. But, as far as I know, declaring properties exposes the class to external classes, so this could be dangerous. On UIViewController we have the main view definition and the logic, so MVC is slightly cheated in this cases. What is the beteer approach, Apples's recommendation for memory-management or armored classes?
