• Unable to browse some pdfs and docs.

  I have a web site that uses Microsoft Indexing Service to index and query a directory that holds various documents of type pdf, rtf, mht, and doc. The indexing and querying works well (for the most part); however, some files will load while others will not. This is a Windows Server 2003 box running the site using IIS 6. The indexed directory is a sub directory off of the site's root directory (i.e. http://my.domain.com/files/). The file paths are accurate in the URL; however, I can only access some of the files of each file type. The files that I cannot access give a 404 File Not Found. I am able to open all files via windows explorer;however, attempting to open them via a browser over http is hit and miss. Has anyone experienced this issue and know how to resolve it? Anyone have any idea why I could access some files but not others? Does anyone have any recommendations on what to look into to try this (i.e. does owner matter or something like that?)?   I want to populate span tags for all text nodes between the self closing tags s1 and s2 having the same id. Eg. For the input: <a> <b>Some <s1 id="1" />text here</b> <c>Some <s2 id="1"/>more text <s1 id="2"/> here<c/> <d>More data</d> <e>Some <s2 id="2" />more data</e> </a> In the above input i want to enclose every text node between <s1 id="1"/> and <s2 id="1" /> with span tags. Also all the text node between <s1 id="2" /> and <s2 id="2" /> Expected Output: <a> <b>Some <span class="spanClass" id="1a">text here</span></b> <c><span class="spanClass" id="1b">Some </span>more text <span class="spanClass" id="2a"> here</span></c> <d><span class="spanClass" id="2b">More data</span></d> <e><span class="spanClass" id="2c">Some </span>more data</e> </a> I am not concened about the pattern of the id tag populated for the span as along it is unique. If the transformation of the input to the output form requires the list of ids of the s1 , s2 tag pairs say 1, 2 etc i can assume that it in place in any form if required. Hope i am clear. How can this be achieved using XSL? EDIT: The input can have any structure and not exactly the same as seen in the sample input. It can have any number of s1, s2 tag pairs but each pair will have a unique id.Adding another sample input and output pattern for more information. • Change ListView background - strage behaviour

  Hi again, I have a problem with changing the background of a view in a ListView. What I need: Change the background image of a row onClick() What actually happens: The background gets changed (selected) after pressing e.g. the first entry. But after scrolling down the 8th entry is selected too. Scroll back to the top the first isn't selected anymore. The second entry is selected now. Continue scrolling and it continues jumping... What i'm dong in the Code: I have channels, and onClick() I toggle an attribute of channel boolean selected and then I change the background. I'm doing this only onClick() thats why I don't get why it's actuelly happening on other entries too. One thing I notices is: It seems to be only the "drawing"-part because the item which get selected "by it self" has still the selected value on false I think it seems to have something to do with the reuse of the views in the custom ListAdapters getView(...) • Using jQuery to call a web service

  I have created a web service which takes a username and password as parameters and returns a list of children in JSON (the user is a Social Worker). The web service is hosted locally with IIS7. • AsyncPostBackTrigger Just flashing/flicking the UpdatePanel but not updating it

  I am trying UpdatePanel & AsyncPostBackTrigger on master pages through find control method but problem is when I click on button (UpdateButton) It just flash/flick (No Postback) the UpdatePanle but still it don't update or refresh the gridview (images) inside the updatePanel. I have placed script Manger on the master page & an AJAX Update panel in a ContentPlaceHolder in the child page. Also, in another ContentPlaceholder there is an asp button (outside of the UpdatePanel). I want to refresh/reload the AJAX UpdatePanel with this asp button. Thanks for suggestions. • Module Adminhtml blocks not loading

  I was working on a Magento module and it was working fine. At some point, I was trying to enable WYSIWYG in an edit form 'content' field and suddenly, my adminhtml grid and edit blocks stopped being generated. On my system are TinyMCE and Fontis FCKEditor WYSIWYG editors extensions. I'm not sure what I did wrong but my adminhtml blocks will no longer generate. • jQuery $.ajax response empty, but only in Chrome

  I've exhausted every avenue of research to solve this one so hopefully someone else will think of something I just didn't. Relatively straight forward setup, I have a html page with some javascript that makes an ajax request to a URL (in the same domain) the java web app in the background does its stuff and returns a partial html page (no html, head or body tags, just the content) which should be inserted at a particular point in the page. All sounds pretty easy and the code I have works in IE, Firefox and Safari, but not in Chrome. In Chrome the target element just ends up empty and if I look at the resource request in Chromes developer tools the response content is also empty. All very confusing, I've tried a myriad of things to solve it and I'm just out of ideas. • MediaElement not showing in custom 3D class

  I'm trying to display a videostream in a Viewport3d. When I add the MediaElement via xaml, the video plays without a problem; even when I add the video as ModelVisual3D in the code-behind, the video works. When I abstract the video into a class, however, the video stops appearing. This happens with both web and local video files. I tried compiling with both x86 and 64 bit. Any way to fix this behaviour? Why is this happening? • Using resize to getScript if above x pixels (jQuery)

  So I have an issue with this script. It basically is loading the script on any resize event. I have it working if lets say... - User has window size above 768 (getScipt() and content by .load() in that script) - Script will load (and content) - User for some reason window size goes below 768 (css hides #div) - User re-sizes again above 768, And does not load the script again! (css displays the div) Great. Works right. Now.. (for some cray reason) - User has window size below 768 (Does NOT getScript() or nothing) - User re-sizes above 768 and stops at any px (getScript and content) - User re-sizes again anything above 768 (It getScript AGAIN) I need it to only get script once. Ive used some code from here jQuery: How to detect window width on the fly? (edit - i found this, which he has the same issue of loading a script once.) Problem with function within $(window).resize - using jQuery And others i lost the links to :/ When i first found this problem I was using something like this, then i added the allcheckWidth() to solve problem. • REST WCF service locks thread when called using AJAX in an ASP.Net site

  I have a WCF REST service consumed in an ASP.Net site, from a page, using AJAX. I want to be able to call methods from my service async, which means I will have callback handlers in my javascript code and when the methods finish, the output will be updated. The methods should run in different threads, because each method will take different time to complete their task I have the code semi-working, but something strange is happening because the first time I execute the code after compiling, it works, running each call in a different threads but subsequent calls blocs the service, in such a way that each method call has to wait until the last call ends in order to execute the next one. And they are running on the same thread. What I want is to add a unique class name like this...... Look for a div with a class of .equal which has a child div with a class of .block and which further has a child div with an ID of sidebar-a.   I am an amateur coder and I have a small problem. My goal is to have one text input with two buttons. The first button uses a bit of Javascript called SundayMorning to translate the text (to Chinese) The second button submits the text to a URL. The URl requires that Chinese text be encoded it in GBK2312 character set. I have duct taped together various found code to the result I have now. Due to the finicky behavior of the SundayMorning Javascript, my solution is to have two input boxes, the second of which I will hide. Right now, this doesn't work: I am unable to encode the Chinese in GBK2312, no matter what I try. BONUS CONUNDRUM: The second box copies my input letter by letter as I type, but does not copy the Chinese translation that the Javascript returns. Sorry for my janky amateur code. • Setting a Visual State from a data bound enum in WPF

  Hey all, I've got a scenario where I want to switch the visiblity of 4 different content controls. The visual states I have set opacity, and collapsed based on each given state (See code.) What I'd like to do is have the visual state bound to a property of my View Model of type Enum. I tried using DataStateBehavior, but it requires true/false, which doesn't work for me. So I tried DataStateSwitchBehavior, which seems to be totally broken for WPF4 from what I could tell. Is there a better way to be doing this? I'm really open to different approaches if need be, but I'd really like to keep this enum in the equation. • 100% height with fixed footer and embedded Google Map

  I have a problem with a layout - it's not online anywhere, just local, but if you copy and paste the code below into an html page and run it locally you will see the same page I do. It's very nearly there. What I'm trying to achieve is a page with no scrollbars using up all available vertical space. Yes, I can set "overflow:hidden" on the container declaration and that helps, but it's not quite right. I want to actually have the google map surrounded with a 1em border. I have this on 3 sides but the 100% height declaration on the content div crashes the bottom border. If you don't realise the implications of a percentage-sized google map div, then the parent HAS to have a height declared for it to work. As the footer is absolute and outside of the flow, there is no "bottom" border to work to and the layout just doesn't work. The content div 100% height basically seems to take its size from the viewport and not the containing div. It's driving me mad... just can't seem to work out how to do this and I'd really appreciate some input. I did all this in the above CSS, and it almost works. The issue I am having is that the background colors of the list elements don't extend with the content.   Hi all, Maybe my question is wired: is there a way to prevent jQueryUI tabs from floating if browser window is too small? Explanation: I have a simple horizontal tab using CSS only. The content is floating but not the tabs. Important: there is no width set manually, the current width is taken automatically.
