  • Validate numeric text field in jquery

    I have this code in jquery to prevent non-numeric characters being inputted to the text field $("#NumericField").numeric(); Now, on the text field i cant input non-numeric characters. That is OK. The problem here is if the user will paste on the text field with non numeric characters. Is there a way/method to disable pasting if the value is non-numeric? Or is there any other approach to handle this situation that you can share?

    Hi guys, I'm trying to build some jquery tabs based on the request (which is stored in a table). I have two pages sharing one .js file. One page is for the user to create the request, and the other is for the administrator to approve/deny the request. On the admin page, here is my javascript code: $(function() { GetRequest(); }); Which is just calling a function I have inside my .js file. All the code in the .js file is also wrapped in a '$(function(){ //...code here })'. The problem is the function isn't built yet when calling it from the page. Is there a way I can tell the page to wait until the script is complete?

    Hi, I currently have a product view page that contains an MVCContrib HTML Grid with a select link at the beginning of each row. If the select link is clicked, it takes me to a different page. Create a custom view or create an empty window with a backing NSWindowController and then add stuff to it when the window is opened?   • MultiActionController no longer receiving requests?

    I was attempting to make changes to my controller, and all of a sudden, I no longer seem to receive any requests (404 when attempting to hit the servlet mapped URLs). I'm sure I've broken my web.xml or app-servlet.xml, but I just don't see where. I can access index.jsp from tomcat (http://IP/app/index.jsp), but I can't get my servlet mapping to work correctly.   • MVC2 Areas not Registering Correctly

    I believe I have my Areas setup correctly (they were working in MVC1 fine). I followed the guide here: http://odetocode.com/Blogs/scott/archive/2009/10/13/asp-net-mvc2-preview-2-areas-and-routes.aspx I've also used Haacked's Route Debugger. Which shows the correct Area/Controller registration when I run it. However when I try to go to my (AreaName)/(Controller) I get this error: "The resource cannot be found." I believe this indicates there's a problem with the routing, but I'm having trouble debugging this. Where should I set my breakpoints to catch routing errors in MVC2? I'm also using SparkViewEngine compiled against MVC2 references. Could this possibly be causing this error? I've set breakpoints on the controller in the area and it never fires off, I assumed the view engine doesn't kick in until after the controller has been initiated, but I could be wrong. The non-area landing page works fine, and I've stripped my project of all areas except one, to avoid any sort of naming conflicts. Any ideas where I can try to look next?

    I've got a big old log file I'm trying to break down in terms of routes. Essentially, I'm getting input of a path (/questions/31415 for example) and a list of all the registered Routes. What I want out is a Route and the parameters specified in the route (so in, /questions/{id}/{answer} I'd get id and answers out). I've got a working solution that basically generates a nasty bit of regex on the fly with named groups to do matching and parsing all-in-one. My gut tells me this is a brittle way to do it, and frankly there has to be a better way, right?
