  • Capistrano deploy:migrate Could not find rake-0.9.2.2 in any of the sources

    My Capistrano deploy:migrate task is set to run a simple rake db:migrate command, as follows: env PATH=/home/user/.gems/bin sh -c 'cd /home/user/app/releases/20121003140503 && rake RAILS_ENV=production db:migrate' When I run this task during an ssh session manually it completes successfully. However when I run from my local development box, I receive the following error: ** [out :: app] Could not find rake-0.9.2.2 in any of the sources I am able to locate my rake gem by typing which rake via ssh (/home/user/.gems/bin/rake) and rake --version gives me "rake, version 0.9.2.2," so I don't understand why this command fails via Capistrano?

  • Writing to CSV issue in Spyder

    I am doing the Kaggle Titanic beginner contest. I generally work in Spyder IDE, but I came across a weird issue. The expected output is supposed to be 418 rows. When I run the script from terminal the output I get is 418 rows (as expected). When I run it in Spyder IDE the output is 408 rows not 418. When I re-run it in the current python process, it outputs the expected 418 rows. I posted a redacted portion of the code that has all of the relevant bits. I need to have a few values in the if, and this value is generated from a text file. e.g. if(loop==11||14||15||16") My array for the allrowcol.ToString() is "11||14||15||16||". rowcol is the number that I extract from my text file. But my if (read as a whole string). What can I do?

  • Is there any very bare minimal ftp server for ubuntu that wouldn't conflict with other installed servers?

    I have installed proftpd with mod-sql modules; i need to have a ftp server that would run on another port (and use a separate authentication scheme) Whenever i try to install vsftpd or pureftpd it simply removes proftpd and dependencies; i'm guessing it's to prevent having conflicts ... Is there any 'very small' ftp server; like run from command line that I could use ? I've searched all around but cannot find ... Any help would be appreciated

  • Can you make desktop shortcuts to Seamless mode Windows apps in VirtualBox on OSX?

    Running the latest version of VirtualBox on OSX and hosting a Windows virtual machine. Is there a way to put shortcuts on your Mac desktop for the Windows apps that you run in seamless mode? I can't find a way to do this, so every time I want to newly launch a Windows app in seamless mode I have to access the full Windows desktop, start the app and hit HostKey+L. Really a pain for apps that you want to run in seamless mode all time.

  • background music stops after 3/4 runs in iphone app

    I am playing sounds in loop in my app. So it should continue playing through out the app. but sometimes it stops after playing sound for 3/4 times.I don't understand whats happening. I am using audio-toolbox framework for playing sound. creating audio queue and then playing sounds in loop. I am also playing sound from ipod library using mediaplayer. Same thing happening with song from ipod. I have set [musicPlayer setRepeatMode: MPMusicRepeatModeOne]; but still it stops after 3/4 times.

What is each part doing? Functionally, the animation makes visible a series of pictures, then the whole site. I want to skip the animation and just make the whole site visible(if cookies='visited'). I'd like to do this without rewriting the animation script. here's a link. What happens now is if you have the cookie the animation doesn't run and everything is hidden.

  • Raising hard limit on RLIMIT_NOFILE system-wide on Linux

    We need to raise RLIMIT_NOFILE when running memcached, as we're hitting the default hard limit (1024). However, raising a hard limit requires root, and for various reasons we don't want to have to run memcached or its containing shell as root. Right now we happily run it as a non-root user. Is there a way to raise the hard limit for RLIMIT_NOFILE system-wide, so that we can continue to run memcached as non-root and simply raise the soft limit? This is RedHat Linux with 2.6 kernel.   • MySql returning multiple rows from stored procedure / function

    Hi, I need to make a stored procedure or function that returns a set of rows. I've noted that in a stored procedure i can SELECT * FROM table with success. If i fetch rows in a loop and SELECT something, something_other FROM table once per loop execution, I only get one single result. What I need to do is looping, doing some calculations and returning a rowset. What's the best way to do this? A temporary table? Stored functions? Any help appreciated.

  • Apache will not start with mod_wsgi enabled

    I'm trying to run Apache with mod_wsgi to run Python scripts. The server is running Ubuntu 12.04 with Zend Server installed, but when I enable the wsgi module Apache will not start. I get an error message of "apache2: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed" in the error log. I installed the module using the Debian package. I can't seem to find this specific problem anywhere so maybe it's a problem with Zend Server? I'm stumped. Thanks

  • Aptana Studio is opening but not ever closing a python.exe process

    I am developing a small testing website using Django 1.2 in Aptana Studio build 2.0.4.1268158907. I have a Django project that I test by running the command "runserver 8001" on my project. This command runs the project on a small server that comes with Django. However the problem arises that every time I run this command Aptana opens two instances of the process "python.exe". Upon terminating the command only one of these instances is ended. The other process continues to run and use memory. My server is not online, and the process doesn't seem to do anything that I can find. This happens every time i run the runserver command on my project and therefore more and more python.exe instances will open up through my development period. Any help discovering either the purpose of this extra python.exe or a way to prevent it from opening would be much appreciated.

It will be run at log in and log out. The command to run this program will be set via GPO and will include command line operators to control what data the program sends. I have used a few built in C# classes to find out information about the computer, which is then sent of to a server as a web request. I need to know which of the following will have issues on a restricted user account on a domain.   • Released object crashes app

    I am using objective-C++ (+Boost) for iPhone development. I am in a rather tight loop and need to allocate and release a certain object. The code is something like this. for (int i=0;i<100;i++) { opt = [[FObj alloc] init]; //do stuff with opt [opt release]; } The FObj object is something like @interface FObj MyCPPObj * cppobj; @end In the implementation of FObj there is a dealloc method: -(void) dealloc { delete cppobj; //previously allocated with 'new' [super dealloc]; } I am afraid that if i don't release then the 'MyCPPObj's will just pile up. But releasing makes the app crash after the first loop. What am I doing wrong? Or perhaps should I make cppobj and boost::shared_ptr? (do boost shared pointers automatically release their objects when an objective-C++ object is deleted?)

  • Which display manager for a non interactive Python app and mplayer?

    I am developing an application that will run on Linux to run fullscreen all the time (no menus or trays or anything will be visible). The application is going to be developed in Python, not that that matters as far as the display manager, but what I am having a hard time with is choosing a display manager. I need something with the smallest possible footprint, that will let me run a graphical Python app and have an mplayer window at the same time, at widescreen resolutions (widescreen, 16:10,16:9, etc). Other than that, it doesn't need a lot of features, but the end footprint size is the most important thing I'll be looking at. What display manager would you recommend?

    My question is: why if I run some file with name aliases for example with content such as: alias lsa="ls -a" directly: $ ./aliases it don't create the alias (may be only in script context). But if I run it with command "source": $ source aliases it do the work? I mean after execution the alias "lsa" existing in context of command shell? "man source" give: "No manual entry for source", and in google I just found that it runs Tcl, but why Tcl influence shell context and bush not?

I'm trying to run the command alias localip='ip -4 -o addr show eth0 | egrep -o '([[:digit:]]{1,3}\.){3}[[:digit:]]{1,3}' | head -n 1' If I run the command ip -4 -o addr show eth0 | egrep -o '([[:digit:]]{1,3}\.){3}[[:digit:]]{1,3}' | head -n 1 I get the result I expect, however, when trying to create an alias with the command, I get -bash: syntax error near unexpected token `(' Any help would be appreciated. Whilst expecting emptyness, the next Object is added to the old array. when I use removeAllObjects, my Array is emptied and so is the array attached to myArray. Where am I going in the wrong direction?

I also want to the go-back step to be automatic. I have set a redirect in my apache.conf which works fine but the script doesn't run at all. Is there a way to run the script and only then apply the redirect? Comment: I think this may be the answer but I'm not sure.

    I am using PrepareStatement and BatchUpdate for executimg a UPDATE query. In for loop I create a Batch. At end of loop I execute batch. Above logic works fine if SQL query used in PrepareStatement does not have null values in WHERE claues. Update Statement fails if there is null value in WHERE clasue.
