    Ok, so I can't seem to find decent Windows Azure examples. I have a simple hello world application that's based on this tutorial. I want to have custom output instead of JSON or XML.     I'm designing a staff rota planner....have three tables Staff (Staff details), Event (Event details), and Job (JobId, JobDate, EventId (fk), StaffId (fk)).   • UITableView with Core Data and fetchedResultsController - don't want to call it at start up

    Hi all, I started with the Navigation-based application. I have a UITableView that shows the content fetched from CoreData - using the - (NSFetchedResultsController *)fetchedResultsController from the template. The thing is that I don't want to fill the TableView with the results at the start-up, instead I want to fill the TableView with the results from a search. In my app I have an UITextField, where the user can type a string. And from that string, using predicate, I want to fill the UITableView with the results. In other words, at start-up, the UITableView should be empty and later filled with the search-results. Does anyone have an idea on how to accomplish this? Thanks in advance! EDIT: Solved it by moving out if (![fetchedResultsController_ performFetch:&error]) { and calling it later. I feel a bit stupid ;)

    I've added as wsdl file using the add servece reference dialog in vs2008. MyService serviceproxy = new MyService(); When I instantiate the service proxy, I get an InvalidOperationException with the following text (translated from german): Could not find default endpoint element to the contract "ServiceName.ServiceInterface" in the service model refers client configuration section. This may be because: The application configuration file was not found or not an endpoint in the client element item is found, which corresponded to this contract. Where servicename is the name I give the service when I add it in vs2008 and ServiceInterface the interface which is automatically generated for it.

    I have cricket player profiles saved in the form of .xml files in a folder. each file has these tags in it <playerid>547</playerid> <majorteam>England</majorteam> <playername>Don</playername> the playerid is same as in .xml (each file is of different size,1kb to 5kb). These are about 500 files. What i need is to extract the playername, majorteam, and playerid from all these files to a list. I will convert that list to XML later. If you know how can i do it directly to XML i will be very thankful.

    I've got a basic photo album application, on the first view a list of albums is displayed with a subtitle showing how many images are in each album. I've got everything working to add albums, and add images to albums. The problem is that the image count lines are accurate whenever the app loads, but I can't get them to update during execution.     I'm getting ready to start a C# web application project and just wanted some opinions regarding pulling data from a database. As far as I can tell, I can either use C# code to access the database from the code behind (i.e. LINQ) of my web app or I can call a stored procedure that will collect all the data and then read it with a few lines of code in my code behind. I'm curious to know which of these two approaches, or any other approach, would be the most efficient, elegant, future proof and easiest to test.
