• Model availability inside ActionFilter

  I have created a new ActionFilter for an ASP.NET MVC application that I'm creating. I have an action which accepts an Http Post and the argument of the action method accepts an object, for which I have created and registered a custom model binder. I noticed that inside the IActionFilter.OnActionExecuting the value for filterContext.Controller.ViewData.Model is always null despite the fact that it looks like the model binder is always invoked before the action filter OnActionExecuting method. In contrast to this inside the IActionFilter.OnActionExecuted method of the same action filter the value for filterContext.Controller.ViewData.Model is not null. Do you guys know if this is by design or a bug? If by design are their any links which describe why this is? Thanks.

• Why is SwiftMailer throwing "Internal Server Error"?

  I am using Symfony + SwiftMailer and getting the following error from SwiftMailer: 500 | Internal Server Error | Swift_TransportException Expected response code 220 but got code "", with message "" and can't figure out why. I am using hMailServer on my local machine, and have setup my factories.yml file (as I'm using Symfony) as follows: mailer: class: sfMailer param: logging: %SF_LOGGING_ENABLED% charset: %SF_CHARSET% delivery_strategy: realtime transport: class: Swift_SmtpTransport param: host: splodge.loc port: 25 encryption: ~ username: ~ password: ~ I'm using the following code to send: $message = $this->getMailer()->compose( '[email protected]', '[email protected]', 'Reset Password', 'Message' ); $result = $this->getMailer()->send($message); Has anyone had an issue like this before? I have found that sometimes, and very randomly, the send goes through, but every other time, I get the above error message. So constantly refreshing the page that sends the mail, fails unpredictably, and as the code sometimes works, it's kinda hard to figure out what's wrong. Any help will be highly appreciated!

If I try to use it in the worksheet as shown above, I get the #NAME? error. Solution (Thanks, codeape): The function is not accessible when it is defined ThisWorkbook module. It must be in a "proper" module, one that has been added manually to the workbook.

  Hi all, I am trying to call the FedEx tracking webservice. Currently I am running the sample application provided by FedEx itself (Added my test account number and other details). When I run the application, I get the following error: The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required. I am inside a proxy at my organization and I tried provided the proxy server details to the webservice client using the WebProxy class as: trackService.Proxy = WebProxy.GetDefaultProxy(); and also by providing the proxy server details as: trackService.Proxy = new WebProxy("IP",8080); But I still keep getting the same error!! • Random Gui errors using C# Mono on OSX

  Hello. Im developing a app in c# (winforms), which uses mono to run on osx. It contains some dynamic controls, for example a custom groupbox which contains some labels and textboxes, a button etc. these boxes can both be added and removed dynamically. Problem arises both when they are created, and removed, or even when a messagebox is shown. What happens is that sometimes on rendering white boxes appears, or some labels are not drawn correctly. And sometimes when a messagebox appears, it first opens up like 5 dummies which are just blank, and which you cant close. Am i doing something wrong, should i sleep the gui thread a bit after each creation, or should i invalidate stuff on my own? Or should i try GTK#? Many thanks on input on this, Erik

  In this question jfar answered with his solution the problem is it does not work for me. In the method FindView() I have to somehow check if the View we are requesting is a ViewUserControl. Because otherwise I get an error saying: "A master name cannot be specified when the view is a ViewUserControl."   I am trying to implement InApp purchase in my application. I have implemented it as per Apple's programming guide and it(code) was working fine until I created new application, appid, provisioning profile and in-app products @ another developer account. Now, it gives me following error. Error Domain=SKErrorDomain Code=3 UserInfo=0x2a5a00 "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" Same code works fine if I use previous developer account's appid, pro-certificate and product ids. This is very strange issue, I double checked product id names and other things still facing same error. Any clue..?

• MIDL2003 Error in VC6 project

  While bug fixing I tracked a problem to an old vc6 compiled dll that hasn't been touched in nearly 3 years. After checking out the most recent source I am getting the following error when trying to compile. Processing C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT SDK\INCLUDE\msxml.idl msxml.idl .\ocidl.idl(1524) : error MIDL2003 : redefinition : IErrorLog .\ocidl.idl(1541) : error MIDL2003 : redefinition : IPropertyBag Google gives lots of suggestions regarding Visual Studio 2002 - 2003 errors but I can't find anything that relates to Visual Studio 6 or can be applied to my problem. I did find this page but following it's advice didn't fix my problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? (I am presuming that it did work once.) Other items of interest: I have the February 2003 Platform SDK installed, and looking at the add/remove program page I have Micrsoft XML Parser and SDK, MSXML 4.0 SP2 and MSXML 6.0 Parser too.

• Getting Phing's dbdeploy task to automatically rollback on delta error

  I am using Phing's dbdeploy task to manage my database schema. This is working fine, as long as there is no errors in the queries of my delta files. However, if there is an error, dbdeploy will just run the delta files up to the query with the error and then abort. This causes me some frustration, because I have to manually rollback the entry in the changelog table then. If I don't, dbdeploy will assume the migration was successful on a subsequent try. So the question is, is there any way to get dbdeploy use transactions or can you suggest any other way to have phing rollback automatically when an error occurs? Note: I'm not that proficient with Phing, so if this involves writing a custom task, any example code or a url with further information is highly appreciated. Thanks

It was running these applications with out any issue long time. last one week we are getting this error.If we restart the server .it works then it will come again after 3to 4 hours.   I have created a setup and deployment project in Visual Studio 2008 Professional. I'm using Visual C++, and in it I have two exe files which run under custom actions. One is running in commit and other in uninstall. Purpose is to add a registry key at install time and remove it at uninstall. It works perfectly on Windows XP but when I change to Windows 7 and run the setup, only the key-adding part works. The key doesn't get deleted at uninstall. But when I take the uninstall exe file out from the setup and run it separately on Windows 7, (not through the setup, by just double-clicking on the exe) it removes the registry entry perfectly. Any idea what the problem is?

My WCF Server uses WebOperationContext.Current.OutgoingResponse.SetStatusAsNotFound(); To return a 404 Error code however my WCF client interperts it as an EndPointNotFoundException There was no endpoint listening at http://myUrl that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.   I'm using a class MyClass inherited from SoapHttpClientProtocol (auto-generated in my project by creating a WebReference from a .wsdl file, representing a service). Before calling a "WebMethod" of this service, I need to custom the http header of my request. I also created a HierarchicalDataSourceControl for the collection. Everything works: I can bind it to an ASP.NET TreeView and it renders the data correctly. However, I'm stuck on the HierarchicalDataBoundControl. I found examples, but I am still too new at c# / .Net to understand them. I don't quite understand how to implement the examples: Rendering a databound UL menu nor HierarchicalDataBoundControl Class Does anyone have any tips, or better examples of implementing a control like this?

  I am trying to use HTML5 data- attributes in my ASP.NET MVC 1 project. Anonymous type members must be declared with a member assignment, simple name or member access. It works when I use data_details, but I guess it need to be starting with "data-" as per the spec. My questions: Is there any way to get this working and use HTML5 data attributes with Html.ActionLink or similar Html helpers ? Is there any other alternative mechanism to attach custom data to an element? This data is to be processed later by JS.

  I have a rather large application that has literally a hundred DDLs with Yes / No ListItems. In an attempt to same myself some time, I created a Custom Control that extends the standard DDL. It all seems to work fine but I am having some issues when assigning the SelectedValue property in code where the selected value does not seem to have an affect on the control. I wonder if I should be adding my items during Init or PagePreLoad? Should I be calling base.OnInit before or after I add the list items? This mostly works but not 100%. • Active Merchant Paypal Recurring Pem Error Neither Pub Nor Priv Key

  Hi, I am trying to use ActiveMerchant to make a Paypal Recurring transaction call. I used the patch here: http://blog.vuzit.com/2008/08/01/paypal-website-payments-pro-us-with-recurring-billing-and-activemerchant/ and I'm stuck on this here: ActiveMerchant::Billing::PaypalGateway.pem_file = File.read('paypal_cert.pem') I am fairly sure the pem file is correctly downloaded from paypal. The error I receive is: /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/activemerchant-1.5.1/lib/active_merchant/lib/connection.rb:129:in initialize': Neither PUB key nor PRIV key:: nested asn1 error (OpenSSL::PKey::RSAError) from /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/activemerchant-1.5.1/lib/active_merchant/lib/connection.rb:129:innew' from calling the commit method from line 49 of paypal_pro_recurring. I simply have 2 files - paypal_pro_recurring.rb from the tutorial and paypalTest.rb which I wrote and simply requires all files and calls the function. I hope the error isn't something stupid like I must require from an environment file or something. Thanks all!

• XCode and SVN Error: 200019

  So, I haven't been in an XCode project on this machine since last summer, and now when I try to access the repo through SCM Configuration in preferences I get the following error: Error: 200019 (Incompatible library version) Description: Mismatched RA version for 'http': found 1.6.2, expected 1.6.5 I know at some point I updated my subversion client through MacPorts and is probably the cause of the problem. So I located all the svn programs on my path and replaced them with symlinks to the /opt/local/bin/svn client thinking that would do it (note that /usr/bin/svn --version yielded the same error message as XCode. Somehow XCode (3.2.1) is still pointing to some older 1.6.2 files. Can someone point me in the right direction on getting XCode svn integration cleaned up?

  I would like to use get_or_create to check whether an object already exists in my database. If it does not, then it will be created. If it does exist, then I will not create the new object, but need to raise a form error to inform the user that they need to enter different data (for example, a different username). The view contains: p, created = Person.objects.get_or_create( email = registration_form.cleaned_data['email'], defaults = { 'creationDate': datetime.datetime.now(), 'dateOfBirth': datetime.date(1970,1,1) }) So 'p' will contain the existing Person if it exists, or the new Person if not. I would like to act on the boolean value in 'created' in order to skip over saving the Person and re-display the registration_form and raise an appropriate form validation error. The alternative I'm considering is doing a check in a custom Form validation method to see whether a Person exists with the data in the provided 'email' field, and just raising a validation error.

• Visual Studio 2008 debug does not stop on error

  I have a simple Windows App written in Visual Studio 2008 (.NET 3.0, C#). Without making any change to the project, solution or Visual Studion (from what I can remember), something weird is happening: when I debug (or run) my application, when it hits an error, Visual Studio does not show me any messagebox with the error, and does not stop execution. It "looks" like nothing happended... the code after the error is not executed, but everything else continues to behave like nothing had happened. Any ideeas about what might be wrong? I don't think it's a big deal, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks!

• Slow performance when utilizing Interop.DSOFile to search files by Custom Document Property

  I am new to the world of VB.NET and have been tasked to put together a little program to search a directory of about 2000 Excel spreadsheets and put together a list to display based on the value of a Custom Document Property within that spreadsheet file. Given that I am far from a computer programmer by education or trade, this has been an adventure. I've gotten it to work, the results are fine. The problem is, it takes well over a minute to run. It is being run over a LAN connection. When I run it locally (using a 'test' directory of about 300 files) it executes in about 4 seconds. I'm not sure even what to expect as a reasonable execution speed, so I thought I would ask here. The code is below, if anyone thinks changes there might be of use in speeding things up.
