  I primarily listen to classical music on my laptop. Since I'm obsessed with specifics with my music, I am precise with how I label my genres (Opera, Symphony, Chorale, etc.). Is there a way to edit the Music Lens so that instead of listing "Blues, Classic, Country..." it could list custom parameters? Could the same be done for the "Decade" parameter? Maybe make it "Century", since I have music from back in the 1400's :)

• How to Send the Contents of the Clipboard to a Text File via the Send to Menu

  We have previously covered how to send the contents of a text file to the Windows Clipboard with a simple Send To shortcut, but what if you want to do the opposite? That is: send the contents of the clipboard to a text file with a simple shortcut. No problem. Here’s how. Copy the ClipOut Utility While Windows offers the command line tool ‘clip’ as a way to direct console output to the clipboard, it does not have a tool to direct the clipboard contents to the console. To do this, we are going to use a small utility named ClipOut (download link at the bottom). Simply download and extract this file to a location in your Windows PATH variable (if you don’t know what this means, just extract the EXE to your C:\Windows folder) and you are ready to go. Add the Send To Shortcut Open your Send To folder location by going to Run > shell:sendto Create a new shortcut with the command: CMD /C ClipOut > Note the above command will overwrite the contents of the selected file. If you would like to append to the contents of the selected file, use this command instead: CMD /C ClipOut >> Of course, you could make shortcuts for both. Give a descriptive name to the shortcut. You’re finished. Using this shortcut will now send the text contents copied to your Windows Clipboard to the selected file. It is important to note that the ClipOut tool only supports outputting text. If you had binary data copied to your clipboard, then the output would be empty. Changing the Icon By default, the icon for the shortcut will appear as a command prompt, but you can easily change this by editing the properties of the shortcut and clicking the Change Icon button. We used an icon located in “%SystemRoot%\System32\shell32.dll”, but any icon of your liking will do. As an additional tweak, you can set the properties of the shortcut to run minimized. This will prevent the command window from “blinking” when the send to command is run (instead it will blink in your taskbar, which is hardly noticeable). Links Download ClipOut Utility

  Oracle Product Manager for Java ME SDK, Sungmoon Cho, presented a session, "Developing Java Mobile and Embedded Applications with Java ME SDK 3.2,” wherein he covered the basic new features of the Java ME Platform SDK 3.2, a state-of-the-art toolbox for developing mobile and embedded applications. The session began with a summary of the four main components of Java ME SDK. A device emulator allows developers to quickly run and test applications before commercialization. It supports CLDC/MIDP CLDC/IMP.NG and CLC/AGUI. A development environment assists writing, running debugging and deploying and enables on-device debugging. Samples provide developers with useful codes and frameworks. IDE Plugins – NetBeans and Eclipse – equip developers with CPU Profiler, Memory Monitor, Network Monitor, and Device Selector. This means that manual integration is no longer necessary. Cho then talked about the Java ME SDK’s on-device tooling architecture: * Java ME SDK provides an architecture ideal for on-device-debugging.* Device Manager plays the central role by managing different devices whether it is the emulator or a device that Oracle provides or recommends or a third party device as long as the devices have a Java Runtime that supports the protocol that is designated.* The Emulator provides an accurate emulation, since it uses the same code base used in Oracle’s Java ME runtime.* The Universal Emulator Interface (UEI) makes it easy for IDEs to detect the platform.He then focused on the Java ME SDK release highlights, which include: * Implementation and support for the new Oracle® Java Wireless Client 3.2 runtime and the Oracle® Java ME Embedded runtime. A full emulation for the runtime is provided.* Support for JSR 228, the Information Module Profile-Next Generation API (IMP-NG). This is a new profile for embedded devices. * A new Custom Device Skin Creator.* An Eclipse plugin for CLDC/MIDP.* Profiling, Network monitoring, and Memory monitoring are now integrated with the NetBeans profiling tools.* Java ME SDK Update CenterCho summarized the main features: IDE Integration (NetBeans and Eclipse) enables developers to write, run, profile, and debug their applications on their favorite IDE. I've looked everywhere on the internet telling me to go to Device Pointer Properties, then Settings, then Pointing, then Sensitivity then mess with Palm Check, but Palm Check isn't there and it isn't anywhere else. Please respond to this as this is pretty frustrating. My touchpad is Synaptics ClickPad V8.1 Would installing an older driver give me a palm check option? If so, where do I install an older one

  I disabled the Alt + F2 default shortcut in unity (ubuntu 11.10) using ccsm and I set a new shortcut using the default system shortcut manager (system settings keyboard). And it works, until I execute a command like compiz --replace. After that, all shortcuts keep working normally, except for Alt + F2. It does nothing. Any suggetions to keep the custom Alt + F2 shortcut working after compiz --replace?

• Google Analytics - include filter not working

  I just added an include filter this morning in my domain (test.org). I have: Custom Filter Include Request URI ^/test-a/46212$|^/test-a/46212|^/test-a/46315 Now after I go to Content Site Content All Pages, I see stats for other pages that I didn't include in my filter. For example I see /somethingelse. I only want to see stats for /test-a/46212 and whatever else in my filter. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong.

  Some years/versions ago I found a script that took the Directory group/permissions of the current folder for NEW files Sub-Folders Currently when I import Photographs into 12.04 using Shotwell, I have to use terminal to issue: chgrp photography *.JPG. This enables other ubuntu members of 'photography' group to add these files to their version of Shotwell. I find modifying the Folder Properties/Permissions will NOT set the Group on 'Apply Permissions to Enclosed Files'
