An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.

  • Visual Studio line deletion

    Is there any way in Visual Studio 2003 that I can delete a line without it being copied into the clipboard? There are instances when I want to copy the first line of a block of text and then delete the following n lines but this then puts the last line I deleted into the clipboard, which is very annoying. I have come from a brief keymap background and I could easily do this with Alt-D. And while I'm on the subject, why on earth have MS stopped supporting the brief keymap?

I was lucky enough to receive free versions of VS 2005 and 2008 from attending various MS events.     I am interested in Examine for building searching in a standalone desktop app for searching db tables as well as office/.pdf files This looks like an excellent scenario for Lucene/examine However the doc there is minimal and while i have plenty of experience with SQL full text search, Lucene is a different beast altogether and hence looking for help/pointers on how/where to start And yes, i did a google search but did not find any resources as the terms are fairly common ( lucene examine tutorial etc. )

    I can compile DLLs properly using mingw and do the exports/imports stuff. What I am looking for is defining the dll onload function properly as you would in MS VC products. Google didn't turn up anything. Anyone have any ideas or a link to a tutorial? It was suggested that this code snippet be added to the question: extern "C" DLL_EXPORT BOOL APIENTRY DllMain(HINSTANCE hinstDLL, DWORD Reason, LPVOID LPV) And yes, this is what I am trying to do, but with mingw.

  • How to give focus to default program of shell-opened file, from Java ?

    From within Java, I am opening an Excel file with the default file handler (MS Excel, in this case :-) ) using the method described in this stackoverflow question: Desktop dt = Desktop.getDesktop(); dt.open(new File(filename)); However, the Excel program doesn't get the focus. Is there any easy way to do so? Edit: There is a related stackoverflow question for C#, but I didn't find any similar Java method.

  • opacity in ie using absolutely positioned divs not working

    I've been banging my head against the wall for a few hours how trying to sort this out. I'm trying to position one div on top of another for the purpose of fading one in on top of the other. The divs will have an image and some other html in them. I cannot get opacity to work in ie8.     The post office actually publishes a list of commonly used street suffixes in addresses: http://www.usps.com/ncsc/lookups/abbr_suffix.txt I want to take this list and make a ruby function that takes a string, takes the last word ("183 main strt".split[' '].last) and if it matches any of the commonly used street suffixes ("strt"), replace it with the official Postal Service Standard Suffix ("st"). Is there a better way to approach this than a massive str.sub.sub.sub.sub.sub?
