• Form authentication works on dev server but not on IIS

  Hi, We have a similar problem. We have a web application running under default appdomain. It was working fine until a week before...Suddenly it has encountered a problem. Below message is taken from event logs. Event code: 4005 Event message: Forms authentication failed for the request. Reason: The ticket supplied has expired. Application uses FormsAuthentication and gets the roles from aspnetdb.. After the error, when user logins to the page, it does not redirects to the default.aspx. Again login.aspx comes up. On the other hand application works fine on development server(localhost), but not on www(IIS 6.0). Does any one has an idea? Thanks, Ilknur

• Would you make this method Static or not?

  During a code review I presented a method quickly to the team that I had made static and one person agreed that there was no reason for it to not be static and a person disagreed saying that he would not make it static because it wasn't necessary and just to be on the safe side for future modifications and testing. So I did quite a bit of research and obviously it's a specialized case but I would like to know what you would do in this situation and why? (Its basically a helper method I call from a few different methods, a very low traffic page. • Should I use interface builder or not?

  I'd like to know more about the pros and cons of using interface builder when developing iPhone/iPad apps. I've written a fairly complex and customized app that's on the app store right now, but all of the interfaces are hand coded as they are fairly complex. I've customised the navigation and tab bars with backgrounds, table view cells are manually drawn for speed, and some views are complex and scalable with many subviews. I'm pondering whether or not to start using interface builder but I'm not sure to what extent I'll use it and whether it's worth it at all. Is it quicker? Can things still be easily customised? Any advice would be most welcome!

• IF/ELSE makes stored procedure not return a result set

  I have a stored procedure that needs to return something from one of two databases: IF @x = 1 SELECT @y FROM Table_A ELSE IF @x = 2 SELECT @y FROM Table_B Either SELECT alone will return what I want, but adding the IF/ELSE makes it stop returning anything. I tried: IF @x = 1 RETURN SELECT @y FROM Table_A ELSE IF @x = 2 RETURN SELECT @y FROM Table_B But that causes a syntax error. The two options I see are both horrible: Do a UNION and make sure that only one side has any results: SELECT @y FROM Table_A WHERE @x = 1 UNION SELECT @y FROM Table_B WHERE @x = 2 Create a temporary table to store one row in, and create and delete it every time I run this procedure (lots). Neither solution is elegant, and I assume they would both be horrible for performance (unless MS SQL is smart enough not to search the tables when the WHERE class is always false). Is there anything else I can do? Is option 1 not as bad as I think?

• mySql Delete only removes the data not the entire entry

  Hi all I have this line in my php code $insert = "DELETE FROM allocation_table WHERE job = '$jobnumber' " ; Mysql_query ($insert) ; The problem is it will remove all the values from the the one line in my table but not the entry itself. as you can see in the picture if I delete where job = 315 , it does not delete the line but does delete all the entries Yet in this code that preceeds it (a different table) . it works fine and the whole line is removed $insert = "DELETE FROM event WHERE jobnumber = '$jobnumber' " ; mysql_query ($insert) ;enter code here can anyone offer some advice please ??

• NHibernate does not update entity when repository is passed by constructor

  Hi everybody, I am developing with NHibernate for the first time in conjunction with ASP.NET MVC and StructureMap. The CodeCampServer serves as a great example for me. I really like the different concepts which were implemented there and I can learn a lot from it. In my controllers I use Constructur Dependency Injection to get an instance of the specific repository needed. • WPF Binding not updating when binded object is updated

  I'm trying to bind to a custom control like so: <my:GanttChartTaskListView Name="ganttChartTaskListView1" ItemsSource="{Binding Source={x:Static local:TaskCollection.taskList}}" /> In my WPF Window constructor I add add an item to my taskList, when it loads I can see that item in my custom control, however, when I subsequently add items it does not update. I tried setting Mode=TwoWay, however, then it says the "Path" is required and I'm not familiar with binding like that (this is new to me). For example, the string [email protected] must be converted to <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a> But email addresses in the string <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a> must not be processed. I've tried something like this regexp: (?<![":])[a-zA-Z0-9._%-+]+@[a-zA-Z0-9._%-]+.[a-zA-Z]{2,6}(?!") but it doesn't work properly.

• file_get_contents not working with non english filenames in DRUPAL

  Hello. I have a problem. file_get_contents and other file functions (like file, fopen, glob etc) not working when i try to get file with non english symbols. I getting error that file not exist. It is going when i using any of that functions from my simple drupal module. But same time when i try to use file_get_contents outside drupal's code (just created separated php file) this function work as it should. Can you advice something?? What drupal doing so i can't use file functions on file with non english name from my module? Thanks.

  Hey all, i am checking for an internet connection by checking for a file on my server. The file only has the word LIVE displayed on the page. No HTML or anything else is there, just the word LIVE. When i run this code, i do get the NSLog as saying "LIVE" but once i go to check it with the IF statement, it fails and i just do not know why??? • Not compile code blocks when publishing?

  I have many lines i just use for debugging and helpers. Is there a way i can mark these so they do not compile when publishing a project but still can use when running/debugging my program within Eclipse? Even better would be to mark a certain field as debug only and discard everything that has to do with that field completely when publishing. I understand this might get one in trouble when using fields like that and using that in critical parts of the code. But i often find myself initializing a lot of debug fields then comment them out which results in errors down the line if i do not comment those out as well. So is there some way to handle this in a better and more efficient way?

The datagrid is bound to a datasource. Needless to say that the Datagrid itself and its container(the Grid) do not have set a fixed height.   In my Global.asax.cs, I have: routes.MapRoute("AssetCss", "css/{*path}", new { controller = "Asset", action = "Index" }); I also have this in a view: <link href="/css/Root/index.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> The problem is that the AssetController does not invoke Index when /css/Root/index.css is requested. This is because a file actually exists at the path /css/Root/index.css. If I recall correctly, there's a checkbox setting in IIS that basically says "Do not check that a file actually exists at the request path [instead, let the RouteTable handle it]." (At least there is in IIS 6.) Is there something I can put in my Web.config that sets this IIS setting to true? How do I tell IIS to let my MVC routes handle the path even if a file exists at the path?

• Safari 4.0.5 will not play any HTML5 (H.264) video

  The html5test.com tells me that my browser does not support the <video> element, and when I try example page, I get the fallback message, usually "Your browser does not support HTML5 video." I know this should work in Safari. I am on Windows 7, 64-bit (running 32-bit Safari). Video works in Safari for everyone else in the office. (Windows 7 setup exactly like mine, Vista, OSX.) I have tries uninstalling, deleting all user preferences, and reinstalling. Anything else I should try?

• Deployment of SSRS 2012 From SSDT Fails - The specified report server URL could not be found

  I have recently installed SQL Server 2012 Developer on my laptop. I created a simple SSRS report using AdventureWorks201. The report builds fine but will not deploy. I get the error "The specified report server URL http:/localhost/Reports_MSSQLSERVER2012 could not be found" I am able to browse to said URL without issue. I can even upload the report and run it just fine. I am using an administrator account in both cases (on the URL and within SSDT). Is there some reason why SSDT cannot see the URL I am specifying?

  I have a Bash script that is working on my OpenSuSE box, but when copied across to my Ubuntu box, is not working. The script reads in from a file.   I'm using Rails 3. I want to create a select tag with some options grouped and others not grouped. Options would look something like this: Income Auto Fuel Maintenance Home Maintenance Mortgage In this example, Income is not a group, but Auto and Home are. I see three helper methods grouped_options_for_select and grouped_collection_select, option_groups_from_collection_for_select. Is there a way to use a helper to do this or will I have to generate the HTML myself? I imagine I could use two different helpers to create the options and just append the results of both.

• Padding/Margin/Border On Element Does Not Change DIV Height

  Here is a very simply jsFiddle to demonstrate my problem: http://jsfiddle.net/ryandlf/mSmUv/4/ When an element has a top padding or margin and it sits on the first line within a div, the div does not respect that padding or margin and push the element down. In most cases this isn't an issue, but for example, if I have a button that has a top border and padding the top of the border will be cut off because the div is not taking into consideration the padding value. Is there a workaround for this other than just blindly setting margins or padding on every container div element and hoping I have added enough to account for any internal element that might be affected?

My question is why do we add 7 to $2 when $2 is not >= 0 ? EDIT : Here is the C code : int average8(int x1, int x2, int x3, int x4, int x5, int x6, int x7, int x8) { return (x1 + x2 + x3 + x4 + x5 + x6 + x7 + x8) / 8; } note : the possible loss in the division since we are using ints instead of floats or doubles is not important in this case.

It never occurs on ActiveCell.Validation.Delete which I find weird? I have been all over google trying to find a solution, and most suggest that it is caused by running dynamic validation code from a button which hogs focus despite the Activate call, but I am running on sheet change event rather than on button press so I don't think this is my issue - any ideas? I've wasted basically a whole day on this! :(
